1. haha i guess a response cud be to that is

"but then the men not covering their legs cud cause the women to go round raping the men!"

But im not saying this never happens, but its rare. Not as rare as u think it wud be on a global scale, but still rare.

I agree thou with All Info jee. Coz it is now just common practice. And girls are generally more sensible than guys. Have to admit that.

    Sorry if that offends neone!

    107004

I know its not rare and it does happen but in context the likly hood is low..

Anyhow i tell you straight, i love my bana and when its on, its sad to take it off!!!! Wear it as much as i can! Sooooo comfortable and on a HOT day, your not gona find anything better as when tha material fnas ya legs in that mellow wind, ah its all good! lol

    107051

Yeh man. Singh looks wicked in bana.

Though ure mellow wind quote reminds me of Marilyn Monroe... ! hehe

  2. forget that man.

    Get PM'ing Ranz everyone!!!

  3. I was gonna say, wot u on about "name-calling" and i re-read my post and apologise, i meant to say "nihang" not "nang". Didnt mean to do that. I wudve edited my post but then i wudnt be able to apologise, which i do.

And u know blatently Singh that u support the Sikhi Camp. But u decide to write your little "i went to Khalsa Camp BUT..." in a sly way so no one can turn around n accuse u of just supporting Taksaal n u know it.

As for all-info is concerned, im jus stating my opinion. Wasnt meant to attack. Just stating the point that everyone is supporting their own jathas like so theres no point to this thread nemore. People have shared their views n experiences n let people make up their minds from that, rather than getting into convos leading to jatha bashing which it eventually will do.

SikhStudent camp is in its place and is doing well. Campers know wot they r getting themselves into coz all da info is online. Its a more relaxed camp than ne other and this is shown in the website so its up to people to make up their own minds.

THE SAME GOES FOR ALL CAMPS. THEY ARE ALL IN A LEAGUE OF THEIR OWN. Leave it at that. Uve seen the websites, uve heard the deal with each of them - if ure makin up ure mind, good luck to u which ever camp u choose.

    Bhul chuk maaf

  4. FIRSTLY this is like a "War Of The Jathas" thread in itself. Everyone supporting the camps that are mainly organised by the jathas they follow. Taksaali Singh - DDT. Tarunjeet - AKJ. And all - info, u would say wot u said in the post below coz ure a nang ureself and attend Nidhaar Singh classes. Whats the point of this thread? Mostly biased views neway.

sangat jio go to khalsa camp or boss camp

sikh student camp is a niddar nang camp STAY AWAY

    97769

i have also heard from reliable sources that this camp is just a dos hole, no real learning of sikhi, also the nangs just use the camp to convert people into druggies and meat eating so they can justify thier actions and feel better.

just go to the khalsa camp or boss camp, or both as they dont clash

    97771

    Bit of a harsh joke.

I went last yr, it wasnt the best camp in the world but then i did jst show up on the wednesday!!!

I thought it was good and useful, i laready knew a lot more about sikhi then was being taught and the only lecture i actually went to - as i only went on the off chance, the lecture side was prety much done, i had already heard it 5times before as i know the guy who did it!!! So again, i didnt learn much but in terms of the rest of it! The stories that were told, the kirtan darbar at the end, i thought it was great!

Sikhi parchar was done there, from what i remember meat wernt really an issue, just kids playin games etc.

The only thing i didnt like was maybe the sevadars, but thats just down to an attitude problem by them. Nothing to with the camp, jst they to up themselves in authority positions. I had it out with the ones i had problems with and it was all good.

People are going to camps to lean something, i havent been to many but droped in to loads of them recently for like one dayers and stuf and they all been good!

(im not sticking up for sikh student btw!!!)

I shud be hopefully checkin out khalsa camp this yr as where our sangat is goin (ie the people i spend the whole week with doing kirtan, paath, training etc) so be nice to stay with the sangat and boost our own sikhi. Also as everyone tells me its good and so i might as well check it out!!

End of the day, if you kno the bare basics to sikhi, and are strong in them!! then there shud be no worry of being mind converted etc! Just stay strong in your own belief and if you got problems? Go and see Guru Ji.

(PS the talks at the camps are the best!! ie when people all jst sit in a group and have discussions...)

  5. vaheguru ji ka khalsa, vaheguru ji ki fathe

i am going to boss camp, me went last yaer and its a life changing experience,

i remeber there was a few singhs tthat sed they wud keep there kesh because of what there learnt at camp, boss camp rockssss, the singhs rock, as they are NOT from any particualr jathebandi but are KHALSA jis, compared to some who just call them selfs nangs and akjs. any way boss camp rocks, it wil be nice to see some of the sangat there

    105766

hahaha... i wuda agreed with ure post up n until the point u said the BOSS lot are NOT from any particular jathebandi! AHAHAHAHA! its a Taksaali camp! They are mainly all taksaalis and they all teach Taksaal maryadha! Not saying thats a bad thing but am just saying thats how it is.

Oh and tell me where it does it say on KhalsaCamp.com that its by AKJ? Coz i tell u sumin - theres more peeople from jathebandis helping with the KhalsaCamp than any other camp.

And thats a totally unbiased view. Ive seen it with my own eyes. I aint AKJ either so i have no reason to support KhalsaCamp other than the fact i think its definitely a worthwhile experience compared to other camps.

  6. look? smile? talk? touch (non-intimate places)? hug? kiss? touching and feeling? sex?

where would you draw the line with someone? If u said to me "i draw the line at hugging someone who i am talking marriage with, i wud say theeka. If you said talk, i would RATE YA to da max. If you said sex i would smack ya in the mouth if u are a Singh or Singhni.

U see, i dont think theres nothing wrong in looking, smiling, talking, touching (in "non-intimate" places) or hugging someone who u r talking marriage with. But kissing and more,.... then u wud have crossed the line.

people will do it. They will try n find a spouse for themselves and there is a lot of western influence involved in how they go about it. You cant STOP it totally. But u can control it and give someone the best advice and most practical advice u can and THEN once theyve put that in place in their life, you can tell them the next step... the more orthodox approach.

Intentions are key. Some pretend to "love" someone because they love all the attention the other person gives them and uses them as time-paass. But if intentions are honourable... then i dont see the problem as long as you dont cross the line as mentioned above.

  7. So is any1 else here taking up the task? Or any other organisation offering to do this sewa?

Problem is, theres always critics who mouth off but none who are going to back up their words with actions. You think they doing a bad job? Go see the guys at Soho Road or woteva and get a statement from them, publish it on this thread word for word, and lets discuss this fairly.

Soho Road Gurdwara is wicked. The newish one in Africa is.. amazing. Amazing architecture and structure. So to believe you guys sayin they bodging up jobs on Gurdwaras in india... it dont make sense. Not sayin y'all wrong, but you gorra back up your claims a bit more strongly than u have and i would like to here gnnsj's response to this.

  8. All info you wrote .(...jst i work with goria and well, you know what they like).

All-info, What do you mean by this? I think i know but want to hear from you before i fly off the handle needlessly.

    105103

Singh come into my office and listen to, "steve did this and sean did that" Down the pub last night he was ... this and *** that.

Trust, i cnt repeat the crap they come out with.

if you wona fly off the handle its up to you!! Just follow the rules or admin will accuse you for goin of message thread..

And what do you think i mean?? I have to hear such gantha crap all day about men and women, try sittin and listening to it. NOT nice!

    105107

And witrh regards to people on this forum who flirt etc i have heard this too. its not nice that Gursikhs do this and then cover it up or lie about it...

    105108

Haha. thats a load of c**p in itself. a load of goriah? "apniya kuriya" do this as well and whether there are girls who r like that or not, it doesnt depend on the colour of their skin, it depends on the class they mix in.

As for people who flirt... well define flirting? Because i think everyone has their own opinions of this. Some wud class just TALKING to a girl as flirting... some wud class laughing, joking, smiling with a girl as flirting...

PERSONALLY, i dont think we can stop flirting. I think the only thing we can do is control it. Control it in the sense that as long as we know we are flirting and dont take it TOO far (and im sure most of u know wot im talkin about here) then i think that is acceptable as long as the other party involved is the same. It all depends on intentions. If youre intentions are to flirt with the aim of "getting it on" with a girl, then that is defo wrong. If you're intentions are to flirt funnily and not go OTT, then i think that is not that dire. Lets face it - kaam krodh lobh moh hunkaar... KAAM comes first. Its one of the hardest things to eradicate. But i think if people can control it first before eradicating it, it is the best way.

YES , its easy to say "no, i disagree with ure point because we shouldnt be doing it. Everyone should eradicate kaam" but this is a VERY difficult task and is easier said than done. But being difficult does not make this impossible. I think u have to learn control and limits. Im not excusing flirting, im giving my opinion based on what ive seen and experienced.

  9. Waheguru Jee Ka Khalsa. Waheguru Jee Kee Fateh.

Before i begin this post, please be assured this e-mail is not out to attack neone or any jathas in particular. Its to highlight a certain problem which is common nowdays at programmes and a request to those who fall into the trap, to try their best not to.

It was at a recent Rehansbhai keertan darbaar which happened in the UK that really annoyed me. Upstairs was one of the most amazing keertan darbaars ive been to in a while... and downstairs was a doss session. A doss session of MAINLY Singhs who are in the same kind of... organisation or jatha. Theekaa, there was sewa going on downstairs of signing letters to Shaheeds and petitions and selling T-shirts and hoodies and what not... which was all brilliant. But it saddened me to know that 20-30 of these guys were just downstairs... dossing whilst the keertan was going on. I mean the sewa that was being done could have been done by about 5-6 of them. The rest were standing there.. dossing.. inside AND outside the Gurdwara. ON their fones. There was barely room to walk around!

It gives a bad impression. Ive heard people talk about guys who doss around downstairs that they are their to "flirt and look at the girls". Its sometimes an untrue and unfair justification but you can see where those kind of rumours spark off from.

I did walk up to a couple of Singhs who i have met before and did ask them to come upstairs but they were reluctant. "nah singh, we going in five mins"... - a few hours later, they were still there! I think the organisers tried as well to get some of them upstairs but didnt work.

So the point of this forum is to ask everyone to try and remain upstairs during smagams and not to "chillout" downstairs for no reason other than to stretch ure legs or eat langar or do some other form of sewa. I mean, im no saint - i say that with my hands up. I used to chillout sometimes myself downstairs a lot. But ive learnt that this leads to so many problems and also u end up missing some MIND BLOWING keertan.

Apologies in advance for anything wrong ive sent or if i have offended neone. Admin, please feel free to delete the topic or lock it if it does.

  10. Does it really matter if the Damdami Taksal sevadars have advertised their name in bold on the posters? NO I don't think it does!

if it dosent matter why did they write it then ?

i know a few students of DDT and they never say there 'taksalis' they just say their gursikhs.

It's the wannabe Bhindrawala who say taksali this and taksali that.

    98217

i was gonna say something similar. U get all these young fanatics that go round sayin "oh man DDT is da bomb" or "AKJ are phat" and all that stuff when they dont know jack themselves really. I think its brilliant that amrit sanchaar is being organised. But we dont need people like whoever designed that poster. I mean come on, big DDT logo is larger in bigger than any letter on the poster too. I go by taksaal maryadha myself so dont think im being biased. And Taksali Singh is wrong to post it how he has posted it. We are trying to bring about ekta and this will, like Sher Punjabi stated, will dishearten people and whoever designed the poster n that must know that. So whats the use of doing it when ure disheartening people?

More people would most likely take amrit if the whole "DDT" thing on the poster wasnt there because it would feel more open to all.

My two cents. Forgive my mistakes.

  11. ive heard it but am not impressed by the "GT Road" track. I mean theres a limit and i think this track is wrong coz i played it some bhangra lovers n they just laughed but werent impressed that parchaar has come to this. Infact, the overall impression was that Sikhi is selling itself to merchandise... to make dosh.

Yes, the Shaheedi Immortality project is wkd and yes i loved the first two albums but am disappointed that we have had to use classic hardcore bhangra tracks in such a way.

Thats just a personal opinion anyway. Other than that, keep up the wicked seva you guys are doing, seriously.

Sorry for any wrong doings or saying.

  12. whoa. this is a public opinion forum. i gave my opinion and asked questions which arouse in my mind. if you dont want opinions (which Singh Shiromani doesnt seem to mind judging by his neutral post) then whats your problem Missy Kaur? C'mon, when will some of you realise its a public forum? I offered criticism.. CONSTRUCTIVE criticism i think because by thinking out aloud of what someone really thinks, the people on the recieving end can go and counter it by producing something a lot more effective and robust.

and about the Sikh Fed thing... i had an opinion, i aired it on a public legal forum, i asked a question which i had in my mind and asked it. If you dont like it... TOUGH.

And "go hide in my mums laugh" referring to my anonymity? LOL! Well Missy Kaur, unfortunately, the world and indeed, this forum is not filled with people who respect other peoples views and opinions and will therefore attack them in many sick ways to get at them hence why i choose to stay anonymous in this dark age. I would love to say you dont seem one of them but past posts of yours are keeping my lips seeled on that one.

Thanks Singh Shiromani for your answer. Bhul chuk maaf.

  13. hmmm. u telling me u have backing from Sikh Federation to run the Birmingham branch website?! i think not. this looks more like a fan site. If not, please tell names of who is backing this website and the stamps or certificates to authenticise this.

I mean freewebs.com?! i doubt Sikh Federation would back such a poor website project.

  14. i agree. it used to be quite renowned for its in-depth posting but i hardly go on there anymore. They filter EVERYTHING. Anything that is anti-tapoban doesnt go on their. Anything that they personally disagree with is not posted. And they take sides before listening to both sides of the argument. They use it for personal gain in the sense that any bashing they want to do, they do through it through the forum.

Saying that, its the Tapoban forum. Its not neutral as its run by Tapoban sevadars. It s their forum at the end of the day...
