  1. tried to sing. his girl dumps him via txt msg and he begins to sing - i think he forgets to actually ring her and say it to her though so the whole things pointless.

they also have an outakes bit at the end where hes got using a book or something to gesture his manhood (cant find a better way to put it!)

ok, its for his coursework but he cudve found something a bit more sensible to do. if akshay kumar can create a keertan video, whats stopping this prat?

he shouldnt do seva in the panj. no way. he is still young though and maybe in the future.

  2. what the ...?!

im getting so <Edited> off today im tellin ya. what the hells happening in southall man? its going even further down the <admin-profanity filter activated> hole.

can someone pass on this guys name and stuff? its for "research purposes" if neone asks.

  3. VJKK VJKF!

    YEH MANN ALL THE WAYY

IS THERE A BIG PARK IN LESTA THEN???

    VJKK VJKF!

WaheGuru Je Ka Khalsa WaheGuru Je Ke Fateh.

Yerr there's several...Evington Park is the nicest, Victoria is the biggest and Spinney Hill is closest to two Gurudwara's...and they are all pretty big, take your pic! Leicester doesnt have enough Sikhi related events considering we have the best Sangat. rolleyes.gif

WaheGuru Je Ka Khalsa WaheGuru Je Ke Fateh.

    Hunkaar... tut tut

    ours is better though rolleyes.gifrolleyes.gif

  4. I would just like to say this is the second such event (as far as im aware) and it was an improvement in terms of tediousness from the first one which was just way too "political speaches ra ra ra"... so this was the second one. I will personally be speaking to ASHT regarding the issues from this year and im very certain they will listen too - its a new type of event Keertan In The Park and im sure it will improve. few hitches - it happened. lets try to stop this happening in the future by liasing with ASHT and the organisers :D

  5. This programme was nothing more than advertising in the park. Before I got the chance to matha theek a barclays bank representative came up to me offering a bank account in India!! Come on!!!

I personally had to stop someone from lighting a cigarette!!!

For at least 1 & half hours the organisers were doing each others Wah Wah LOL

Worst of all the amount of people with their heads uncovered was beyond belief! The organisers should have seperated the Darbar Sahib from the rest , It was impossible to concerntrate on the kirtan because of the Mela happen around.

    Very disappointing.

Yeh i kinda agree there - its a shame. I can imagine the event cost THOUSANDS AND THOUSANDS of pounds to organise but the whole "next on stage is ..." thing was very annoying and there wasnt enough keertan which left me unsatisfied a bit. The mela was also TOO much. Having DTF etc there - no point. Fair enough, community projects like Police are kool and the advertisers will want their own stall too which is fine. Other point is, Gatka should have been done at the front again like last time, rather than in a seperate section. I agree there could have been lots of improvements but i sat mainly in the darbaar and i loved it... totally loved it.

  6. Appearance by Western Union again. How come they make every Nagar Kirtan, Kirtan event, someone would think they sponsor the Khalsa Panth!

    post-5283-1154335302.jpg

Who got approached the Braclays Bank at the Kirtan in the Park? Did anyone transfer their current account?

    hahaha! lol

Yeh i know, Western Union are ALWAYS there! THey attend more events than me! They fund a lot of events though so alls good.

As for Barclays, they werent giving me easter eggs like Natwest did at Vaisakhi 1999 so i thought "allow dat"...

  7. militant singh,

ure entitled to ure opinions so alls good. but i was there yesterday and it was an amazing event with rass pariya keertan and beautiful kavishri. Gatka demo was just wkd. Singhs from India killed it! The video clip u put up was not in the presence of Guru Jee. Also, there was no anti-Sikh parchaar being done. They did not tell others to become Naamdhaari. I would like to hope that these YOUTHS who were there performing on stage would have listened to the veechaars being done on stage at some point and realise who the True Guru is. You cant bring people onto the path of the True Guru with hate. You do it with pyaar. If you had listened to what was going on stage rather than wonder around finding what you could to criticise the event, you would have heard the veechars on stage.

In terms of ure friend, maybe the other Singhs had reason to. You can come out with whatever story, but truth is, theres always two sides to a story.

Also, did you speak to Barclays about the flag? Because I did when i saw it and they said no one had said anything at all and they didnt realise. I never wandered the stalls until Maharaj left so i didnt see it before hand. Maybe if you'd actually spoke up ureself to them, they may have responded accordingly. But its evident from your inital post you were only "making observations" rather than being active.

As for the Punjab Radio - whats wrong with selling DAB radios? I didnt go over there but ive always wanted a DAB radio! I looked not too long back and they still CAN cost in the region of hundreds.

Anyway, forgive my mistakes and sorry if i offend neone.

  8. I believe it is creating "levels" of sorts. Why do people feel they have class themselves as a certain jatha, be it AKJ, Taksaal, GNNSJ, Nanaksar, Nihang Dals etc etc?

The way i see it, my life, my rehat incorporates a LOT of the teachings that are associated with those jathas. Its quite funny - i dont even class myself as a Sikh, for i am such a paapi. But being such a paapi and low, Sikhi has touched me from "way up there" and has reached to me. I think these jathas try to reach as high as possible but why dont they see that in doing so, they surpass Sikhi because Sikhi does not reach your heart, mind and soul if you are trying to push and shove and climb higher than others. Sikhi reaches those who bow ONLY to the feet of the Guru and try to dig deeper and deeper into the earth to find the true honest meaning of "lowest of the low".

Forgive my mistakes, for i know i make many...

  9. ive actually got hours and hours of tapes worth of Bhai Chattar Singh which have all already been MP3'd and i know ive heard that shabad somewhere... but its difficult to go through them all and theyre not labelled either.

i will definitely sift through them for u though and see if i can find the shabad...

  10. Just wondering if this is a fact?

In the morning, a number of learned hajjis gathered around the Guru. They held religious discussions with him. He satisfied every one of them. He explained to them his golden rules of life and religion. They listened to him with utmost attention. They agreed to live and act as advised by him. One of them said to the Guru, ‘Holy Sir, give me something which will always remind me of you.’ The Guru gave him his pair of sandals. They were respectfully kept in the Kaaba for some time. That Muslim fakir then returned to India. He brought the sandals with him. He kept them in his temple at Uch in Bahawalpur, now in Pakistan.

Yes thats quite correct - i hear that the black box in the centre of Mecca contains the sandals of Guru Nanak Dev Jee... or at least they DID at some point in the last few hundred years...

There are many theories on time travel. Im a big fan of Quantum Leap which was on back in the late 80's and early 90's. But my question to you is simple...

IF you had the chance to travel back in time, just ONCE.... what time would you go back to, what would you see or change, and why?

Dont just give answers like "1984". Say HOW you would change or prevent it.
