The sad news is that we were about to take up auditions, but all of sudden many technical problems arose. Me and my team mates wanted to create a history not only in Punjabi cinema but also in Indian Cinema by making a film on Sikh history equal to the level of "300 spartans" in quality and in all aspects, which was a hollywood movie.

We faced alott of technical problems.

Any ways, we failed today but I swear I will definitely do it the next time. The work is still on, only Waheguru ji's approval is left, that is what I believe.

I really want to thank SIKHSANGAT, who read my post and sent me e-mails.

No offense, but if you are serious about making a movie, I think you need to be more organized and give more information. You just wrote one line, with barely any info (which country?, when? etc..) Please be more thorough if you want people to take you seriously.

I received my copy from Akashdeep. Just started reading it and it looks interesting so far. Unfortunately the title of this post is a bit misleading. The book is not a graphic novel but just a novel with a small picture every few pages (14 in total). A graphic novel is supposed to be a story told in sequential art like in a comic book. Anyway, I will post more comments after I finish reading.

I wanted to edit the title of the thread, but don't know how :confused:

One of my friend used to replace his kirpan, temporarily with a small sized kirpan, while performing long jumps and relay races. May be this can help.

Baba deep singh was a highly educated man in his time, he was of the highest of literacy. The shahheds of 1984 stood up when they had women being raped by police and others so forth however they are still under the shadows of baba deep singh and even sarbans daniye pita guru gobind singh ji who was a great scholar his pen was mighter then his sword, he was literate in great amounts a true polymath, had knowledge of philisophy, science, maths, many languages: persian, punjab, braj, arabic, hindi, sanskrit and more.

Go get a degree and work in top companys, if you own a business go become a billionaire company or get near, don't be second best. You will get nothing in motivating kids into gangs and reliving illiteracy, if you don't even get gcses no one will respect you, do something which will earn the respect of others all around you. Work hard, blood, sweat and tears, work as hard as you want to breath. Live the meaning of kirt karna, kirt karna is as important as naam simran. To work hard is a prayer of it's self. No Singhs or Kaurs bother with deeper education, how many of the never forget 1984 have phd's in political fields you could write papers, books, videos. Get into the best investment banks, companies, law firms, what ever you do be the best. People all of kaums in the new generation majority have degree bscs, bas etc. even Masters ma msc etc. Most upna going on and on about 1984 don't even have gcse's no one is going to respect them or bother listening to them, before people listen to your parchar they look at your credentials it gives more worth to your word if you are educated, rich/succesful and professional.

Giani jarnail singh was illiterate however in damdami taksal's school he was the best of all gianis, the gandhis had degrees. Look at 1947 nehru, jinah and gandhi all went to the uk got degrees from abroad and for sikh representation a new convert who didn't even have year 10 test done master tara singh highly illiterate and most of the people on our stages are illiterate how many degree holders do you even see controlling gurdwaras. It is never to late to go into education, no matter what age you are, there are other ways into university even through btec, avce, apprenticeship, part-time, correspondence and foundation degrees and you can always change your profession.

Still you can always pick up a book and learn. You can open youtube channels and record your messages, today majority of people who are not-sikh think 1984 is a complete joke, sikhs have become a joke not by the doing of bollywood but by our own doing. Work Hard singhoo, give a high name to your gurus, your land, your family, your friends.. You need somewhere to stand and your education is for life, sikhi means to learn and education is the path. Become the best everyday learn something new, talk to someone that helps you, read something that helps you achieve your goals and become the best in what you do.

And this aspect of you and the book my dear brother will be critical as you are promoting what you are doing. Take great care on how you present your role and relation to the book. In any appearances you make with the book explain yourself with great care or the celebration may appear to be one of hypocrisy and mere business which you won't even know as the world is full of the same.

There is alott of difference between me and my book. I am not doing it for business, "Waheguru da ditta sab kuch hai". And if your suggestion would have been brother-like you might have messaged me in personal and explained me, your views. I am born in a Sikh family, I am already familiar with the explanation you gave above, and yes JSinghnz is very happy to see your comment. I am younger in age than you, around 19, but I think ki "Sada dharam sab nu naal le ke chalan wala hai, na ki jo naal ralna chanda ohdi bezti krna, you people have dastar, have kes you are role models no doubt, but I am Patit, if I do something, it's wrong, its against Sikhi."
