  1. As a Sikh male, I've always felt that it is much harder to be a Sikh Bibi then a Sikh man, for the simple fact that Bibiyan must keep their leg hair, etc., in a society that deeply looks down on it, and for which people will give you soo much more crap then a turban. The Singhnis who don't cut any of their kesh, I have so much respect for them

  2. Please could you not refer to Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji as a Holy Book. I'm sure you don't consider Nirankar's Bani as a book.

Relax man it wasn't a Sikh who was saying that it was just someone who was attending a wedding and doesn't know any better. As to that issue...those people who aske for Guruji to come to the hall and those "granthis" who allowed it...wow.

I just have one quick question however. A lot of people bring Guruji to their house when they have a Paath or something going on. Is that acceptable?

  3. I don't see nothing wrong in what they're doing ... Everyone's so quick to label and judge something as incorrect and 'anti-Gurmat' just because they're doing something that's not familiar to you or your Jatha ... You try reciting Jaap Sahib and bowing down to every Namastang, bet you can't do it!

Exactly. There are much more important issues than this

  4. I thinks its nice to see someone bowing to Waheguru constantly while listening to Sri Jaap Sahib. Why not look at it in a positve way? They are bowing down continiously to Bani...how can this be wrong? People can say the same thing about doing parkarama around Guru Sahib. Its showing respect either way you look at it.

Yeah, why are we trying to say this is bad? These arent yoga excercises as much as they are showing devotion by bowing. The only thing is that they shouldn't be saying "down, up, eyes closed" etc. other than that what's wrong? Why do we try and divide and say, do this, not this, so often?

  5. When you go, don't have any alcohol or tobacco on you. Take your shoes off and put them with everyone else's, an cover your head with a cloth. Their should be some near the entrance. Go inside, and you will see Guru Granth Sahib on a platform. Walk towards it, put a dollar infront of it, and kneel down and press your forehead to the floor (matha thek). Then go and sit down with everyone else. When it is time for ardas, you will see everyone stand up, an you should stand up as well. Clasp your hands together, and when other people matha thek, you should as well. After this, you will e offered karah prashad. Take this with two hands and eat it. Now it will be time for langar. Sit on the floor with everyone else, and people will come by with plates and food. If you don't want a certain food, put your hands over your plate. Eat langar, then your done!

  6. Mirpuri my friend maybe a dialect of panjabi, but they are nothing like panjabi mussalmaans. mirpuris are very much like ppl of jammu, and are very backward ppl and have no ambition, straight up, no lie. they dont let their girls wear english clothes, go for decent jobs. look at all the pak tv/radio presenters in this country they r either panjabi/pathan paks, never mirpuri. If this country had 90+% pakistanis from panjab then you would not get all this sikh vs muslim tension and tapping up/grooming of our girls, because every panjabi mussalmaan i ever met are amazing ppl and obviously just like us. for example most pakistanis in canada and scotland are panjabis, yet they have no tension with apnay sikhs in their respective places. only places where panjabi paks live in slightly big numbers are in some places like sheffield, certain parts of manchester

What's wrong with people from Jammu? My family is Punjabi but most were born in Jammu
