i dont see why this should even be debated. he was recruited in to politics because indira and zail were looking for someone to challenge the akalis. they were hoping sant ji would be the stooge. even bhai manjit singh said the same thing. unfortunately for them they picked the wrong guy. sant ji worked for sikhs, and once he saw what they were up to he was against them 100%. what other reason is there to explain how he was associated with them? like i said many times before its not a criticism of sant ji. brother, after finding what happened, the real behind the scene story, i dont put my trust on anyone now. just because a sikh looks the part it doesnt always mean he is the part, yeh? read about how budhsinghwalia died, and many others, it was by the treachery of their best friends sometimes, by supposed gursikhs even. i just trust sant bhindranwale but he isnt here. anyway, like i said before, a few of these jathedars were being used in an indirect manner. look at babbar khalsa. it was infiltrated almost from the beginning, even before 84. how else do u think those black cats got in to their ranks and started commiting terrorism that got blamed on the real khalistani's? its quite possible that a dodgy agent, or police officer was encouraging some khalistani to do things that hurt sikhs... like encouraging the boycott of elections. something i read on that link about manochahal.. he didnt support the boycott, which was against what the goi wanted. so he couldnt have been entirely a dodgy character some say he was. again, its not a criticism. just shows how clever, and dodgy our enemies are. what these people in the goi have done is infiltrate major sikhs groups, and cause damage from the inside. no, obviously its not my real name. lol. i was asking for the name of the moderators user name. i dont want to know anyone's personal info.

thanx naam jap. i still cant believe my post was deleted. there was nothing insulting in there. at worst i have some questions about this period that id like to get answers about. is that such problem? wot does the editor recommend? that i go to a hindu site and get answers( or lies more like it). better yet why dont i go to kim bolan. Its well known that in the 80s Buta Singh of the Congress had some connections with several Khalistani groups. Which groups were they? Factions in the Babbar Khalsa? There are also a lot of stories floating around that Gurbachan Singh Manochahal was connected with Buta Singh. Someone please inform me.

Id like to know more about Surinder Sodhi. What was his relationship with Sant Bhindranwale? Ive read Sodhi being described as "Bhindranwale's hit man", but we know how the GOI lies. Also didnt Labh Singh, and others have close relationship with Sant ji?

What are the thoughts of the sangat on these two? From what Ive read, Kala has written some very anti-pantic, and anti-rehat books. Strange that Gurtej Singh would back him, seeing the way he promotes pristine Sikhism. Somebody please shed light on this.
