Bhai daya Singh rahitnama also lists yellow as a khalsa colour. Dark grey is wrong English translation below. Original text is 'surmaye' which means dark blue or deep blue. Daya Singh Rahit-namaClothing should be dark grey, white, yellow, or green. Do not wear red clothing.

Khalsa colour is Yellow or basanti. In 20th century kesri colour got infiltrated into the sikh religion by anti-sikh hindu organisations and even our nishan Sahib became kesri. John griffiths in 1794 writes that Singhs either wear deep blue or YELLOW. http://sikhcybermuseum.com/history/MemorandumGrifiths.htm They never shave either Head or Beard; They sometimes wear yellow, but the prevailing Colour of their Cloths is deep blue; They make their Turbans capaciously large, over which they frequently wear a piece of pliable Iron Chain or Network.

I totally agree. Gursikhs wore dastaar and all 10 Guru Sahibaan were Kings and wore dastaar. Nihang Sher Singh is a great sikh and preacher but his views on seli topi that u posted r terrible.

Dear intrigued veer I hv a question. Bhai Pheru was one of the 6 bakhshishiyan of the udasi order known as sangat sahibas. History as well as kalgidhar chamatkaar says Guru Sahib tied His half turban on bhai Pheru's head. It means bhai pheru ji must be wearing a small dastaar on his head on top of which Guru Sahib tied His half turban. Nihang Sher Singh ji and many present udasis say that all their saints used to wear seli topi. What do u make of this?

The jattajoot wali line actually follows the 'Nanak Shah faqir' wali line. So basically Sri chand ji is saying: Dress up like Guru Nanak Dev ji Be sabat Surat Hv joorha on head

I was told this by Baba santosh das of pubowal dera in una, himachal Pradesh. In this fake granth, on page 20 there is amritanjali which is an attempt to copy rhythm of sukhmani sahib.

Most udasi deras used to hv parkash of Guru Granth Sahib. But RSS wants to change this and they hv created a fake granth called 'sidhant sagar' and say it's Sri chand ji's bani. Many big udasi deras in punjab hv already done parkash of this fake granth in their dera.
