  1. Navdeep Singh Ji, I agree with you, that there are more political conflicts today, like never before. But, the fact is, that most of the alterations in Rehat maryada is done by so called "sampradayi Mahapurushs & Brahmgyanis". U might not agree with me but u cannot deny the fact that almost all so called Sikh deras in Punjab have formulated their own rehat maryada. Every one have their own versions, Damdami Taksal Rehat Maryada, Nanaksar Rehat Maryada, AKJ etc etc.. By what means can we say to the world that we are united. Am I wrong when I say this? Eni sari confusion ton baad sikhi ton tuteya hoya Banda ehi bolunga ki asi door hi change haan. Other than Nanakshahi Calender issue, no political power have yet succeeded to alter Akal Takth Sikh Maryada. If u don't believe me, then plz do ur own research on this topic. & when I speak the facts, I don't know why some people call me missionary.
  2. JUSTAJATT ji, first of all, control your language. We are all brothers & Sisters here. U may be "JUST A JATT", but we all are Sikhs here. Secondly, I am not a Dhunda follower or a missionary, nor I studied from Sikh Missionary College. Last but not the least, tell me, how did I distort facts by quoting exact words from Akal Takth Rehat Maryada?
  3. Khalsa Ji, I know, some people's stomach get upset when they see Bhai Sarbjit Singh. That's y I didn't put. Its ok. This is the common symptoms of the hardcore followers of deras.
  4. Is this an excuse? Today, in Punjab, people who are indulged in many social & religious evils or manmat will ask the same question which u asked. Sikh rehat maryada was created in very brief & simplest language, which even a rural illiterate farmer understands. When Rehat Maryada Says that other than Nitnem, there are only two types of Path i.e Akhand Paath and Sadharan Paath, then we have no right to contradict & add our own versions of paath. Rehat Maryada on: Point 5: Meditating and scripturesIt is the duty of all Sikhs to engage in personal and communal meditation, Kirtan and the study of the holy Scriptures. Meditating and understanding of the Guru Granth Sahib is important to the proper development of a Sikh. One must study Gurmukhi and be able to read Gurbani and understand the meaning of the text. Translations and other material may be used to assist the Sikh but must not be the primary text for the Sikh. The Sikh has to revert to the Guru Granth Sahib for the all spiritual guidance in ones life – from birth to death. Point 7.3: Akhand Paath and Sadharan PaathAkhand Paath: Is the non-stop reading of the Guru Granth Sahib carried on during difficult times or during occasions of joy and celebration. The reading takes approximately forty eight hours of continuous and uninterrupted reading by a relay of skilled Gurbani readers. The reading must be done in a clear voice and with correct and full pronunciation. Reading the Gurbani too fast, so that the person listening in cannot follow the contents, is discouraged and is considered as disrespect for the Scriptures and the congregation (Sangat). Sadharan Paath: This is a non-continuous reading of the Guru Granth Sahib and one can take from seven days to many months to complete the full reading of the 1430 Anga (Pages) of the text.
  5. Navdeep Singh Ji, stop hiding. The shabads which I quoted are from Guru Granth Sahib Ji only. U asked for parman from Gurbani, so I quoted the shabads. When you have nothing to answer, u make personal attacks. U said, u don't want to give any explanation to me as, I am close-minded. Ok fine, but at least acknowledge the shabads from Guru Granth Sahib Ji, which I quoted. I know, you will never agree. Its OK. But lastly, I request you to plz read the Akal Takth Acknowledged Sikh Rehat Maryada, which is of 22 pages. I hope you have faith in Akal Takth & its acknowledged Sikh Rehat Maryada. Sikh Rehat Maryada: http://www.gurunanakdarbar.net/sikhrehatmaryada.pdf Nowhere, in Sikh Rehat Maryada, it promotes a sikh to do 50-101 path for certain period for some gains. If you don't believe in Akal Takth & follows some sampradayi Rehat Maryada, then God Bless You.
  6. Khalsa Ji, please read Sikh Maryada by Akal Takth. Its is around 22 page booklet, which is a code of conduct for every Sikhs. : Sikh Rehat Maryada: http://www.gurunanakdarbar.net/sikhrehatmaryada.pdf THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS SAMPAT PATH WRITTEN IN SIKH REHAT MARYADA. ONLY AKHAND PATH & SADHARAN PATH. Now, as far as sampradas are concerned, they have their own set of rehat maryadas. They don't even acknowledge the Sikh Rehat Maryada by Akal Takth. Now, tell me who is greater, Akal Takth or Sampradas? At least, people like Panthpreet propagate Sikh Rehat Maryada acknowledged by Akal Takth.
  7. Haven't read any tuk which says do only single path but for reciting Gurbani path by just babbling it for increasing counts & doing "Tota Rattan", Gurbani says this: parh parh gadee ladee-ah parh parh bharee-ah saath. You may read and read loads of books; you may read and study vast multitudes of books. parh parh bayrhee paa-ee-ai parh parh gadee-ah khaat. You may read and read boat-loads of books; you may read and read and fill pits with them. parhee-ah jaytay baras baras parhee-ah jaytay maas. You may read them year after year; you may read them as many months are there are. parhee-ai jaytee aarjaa parhee-ah jaytay saas. You may read them all your life; you may read them with every breath. naanak laykhai ik gal hor ha-umai jhakh-naa jhaakh. ||1|| O Nanak, only one thing is of any account: everything else is useless babbling and idle talk in ego. ||1|| Also "Suneya, maneya, mann kita bhaav, Antargat theerat mal nahao" Sunana hai, fir manana hai & usnu apni zindgi ch vasana hai. This might help u. & This (Little out of context, but will help u)
  8. Thank you. This is better than your nuska of reciting or babbling of 50-101 etc etc numbers of paths just for the sake of increasing numbers. Guru Maharaj don't need numbers. Do nitnem properly & implement it in your life.
  9. Lucky Singh Ji, I quit. :stupidme: Now please tell me what does "8 pehr simran means"? & also tell me the meaning of this quote by Navdeep ""recite 50 japji sahib per day for 3-4 months with meaning learned of japji sahib ,u will see" - Yes, I am closed-minded, Plz open it. :respect:
  10. Lucky Singh Ji, plz enlighten me with you open mind & explain me what the below quoted post means. I will be thankful to you. Navdeep Singh Ji Says: "The one who do many paths controls his sense's" & "recite 50 japji sahib per day for 3-4 months with meaning learned of japji sahib ,u will see" Plz throw some light Lucky Singh Ji, with logical reasoning, not from the katha of any kathavachaks but from Guru Granth Sahib.
  11. Navdeep Singh Ji, where in the above quote u mentioned studying Gurbani? Plz read ur post again. U said "recite 50 japji sahib per day for 3-4 months". Gurbani is not mantra. Where in my post I said that u don't need to study Gurbani? Studying Gurbani is all together different thing & reciting it like a mantar is different. My comment was only on your idea of referring reciting Japji Sahib like a mantar. Navdeep Singh Ji, thank you for the Guru Granth Sahib Katha Link. Since u shared it, I assume that u have have listen to it. Just tell me one line from Guru Granth Sahib which gives idea of reciting a bani 50 times a day. Bani padna bahut changi gal hai, par uston agge vi vadhiye te usnu samajh-samajh ke apnaa jeevan ucha-sucha kariye.
  12. There are 1440 hrs in a day, assuming, If 1 Japji Sahib path takes around 25 min(proper shudh ucharan path) to do, then 50 paths will take 1250 mins. left time is 190 mins, which is 7hr. Now, when will you sleep, Eat, Work etc.? Kirat karna tan pehla kehya hoya hai Maharaj ne. Is it a Bani crash course? This is wat bipar do, which Guru Maharaj refrain us to do. Did we ever read about any of our Guru Maharaj or Bhagat practising such things? "sawas sawas simro gobind" da matlab hai apni life di sari kriyawan nu karde hoye usde bhane wich rehna hai & usde naam nu simarna hai.Note: I am not against Nitnem.
  13. 50 Japji Sahib paths per day for 3-4 months & what after that?
  14. There's nothing in the world as Curse or Dua. These terms have come from Hindu Mythological stories. Do Good-Get Good, DO BAD-GET BAD. Simple it is.
  15. Next times when your Kid fails badly in exams, tell him, "what happened, happened". Won't u tell him to identify what went wrong? Wud u not tell him to identify the mistakes, weakness which led his failure? Won't u? The fellow Singh who wrote the thread wants us to help him identify the mistakes & weaknesses which led to his failure(the act which he did) & expects a solution from us. But, here u are "WHAT HAPPENED, HAPPENED". (No offence here plz) What if that amritdhari girl was your daughter? wud u dare to say then "What Happened, Happened"?
