  1. Having a conversation this morning with a colleague at work who also serves as a magistrate. He was bringing to my attention that a friend of his who is a door man at nighclubs in Manchester and how the two of them were talking about their various jobs. My colleague the Magistrate was talking about the need for metal detectors in the court to prevent the chavs from taking paint scrapers into the court room and how our Kirpans are allowed special dispensation in this case. The doorman also pointed out how they have to search people before entering night clubs however wasnt sure about these 'Sikh' (if you can call them that) people with their Kirpans and how he would prefer them to not be in the clubs as he has witnessed dangerous situations with these Kirpan wearing drunks. However the law allows these 'people' special dispensation because they are Sikh. Quite rightly the Magistrate was able to point out to his doorman friend that these people are not Sikhs in the basic sense of the word nor in the tennants of the Sikh faith as 1) Sikhs dont drink 2) don't dance 3) dont listen to 'music' (if you can even call it that), which is so anti, yes anti not contary, but ANTI-Gurmat. My Magistrate friend told me he was only able to point this out to the doorman because of the education I gave him, which did wonders for my homai! But left the doorman somewhat disgruntled in that he was in the mentality of, well these people clearly arn't Sikhs, they shouldn't be wearing the Kirpan then. But I can't legaly take it off them. These people are a bunch of hypocrites who flaunt and abuse both the law and the Sikh faith to maintain a false sense of identity which they dont even adhere too and at the same are putting Guroo Sahibs Kakaars in further jepordy. Clearly funjabis making a mockary of Sikhi once again, even if they are doing it un-intentionally, this most likely is not isolated to Manchester either. What are your views on this and any suggestions on what can be done about it? Is this quite an important issue even? I mean we have the blind and the one eyes wearing those steel bangles posing as Karas. Backwards fake Sikhs pilloking around wearing Kirpans seems to just be a further escalation? First thought was to get in touch with local Sikh society and possibly have a discussion group on the importance of respect for Kakaar, but what does one do when the local society isn’t even panthic but in alliance with RSS?
