    Makeup

punjabiness..lolz i don't think it's their punjabiness (lol) that makes them wear makeup......it's there........being-not-self-confident-ness (lol) A ot of girls these days are very judgemental of others..and yes a lot of those girls are punjabi (I see it everyday at school) Some girls make fun of others girls for not wearing makep..and also make fun of girls wearing makeup.... :D @ but....yea....ppl just need to learn to be confident with themsleves and not rely on a mask to sheild them from other people's opinions But, adding to that, I do know a lot of Amritdhari girls who wear makeup...as young as 11 or 12 to be honest
  8. On Octobber 31st, the Gurmat Center, Abbotsford BC, will be holding a very special program dedicated to the brave men, women, and children, who sacrificed their lives for the Sikh faith. In June of 1984, Sri Harmandar sahib was attacked, and as a result, thousands of innocent men, women, and children were massacred. Bhai beant Singh Ji and Satwant Singh ji saw this as such a horrific crime, that on October 31st, 1984, they were willing to sacrifice their own lives in order to bring justice to those responsible for this massacre. With this Smagam, the Gurmat Center hopes to make the youth aware of the historical events that have taken place in Sikhism, while making it an enjoyable experience at the same time. Forget about going door-to-doot for candy...the following is a list of events that will be taking place: -Slideshow and Vidio about Shaheedi (people who sacrificed their lives for the Truth) -Special Jeopardy Game -Live Drama Skits -Kirtan & Kavishree -Special GAtka Exhibition -Draws & Prizes -Candy, pizza, games, rides and more Who wants an aero bar for Halloween, when you could be going home with a sterio, mp3 player and much more! Please come at 4:00 pm. Sangat who arrives at The Gurmat Center before 5 pm will be entered in a draw that includes the prizes described above and a lot of other stuff too. People who have come in the past two years have said that they have never had even close to as much fun as they did when they go trick-or-treating. Oh yeah...every student who comes will get a HUGE candy bag, and a chance to win some great prizes. for more info go to: www.bcsikhyouth.com

  11. wgjkk wgjkf About two summers ago, my family got a phone call that my 8-year old cousin was run over by a car, and that he was now in the hospital. Of course this shocked us all and when i finally got to talk to his brother, this is what he told me: "It was dark outside, but kids were still playing in front of the gurdwara. While they were playing, my brother somehow fell and was on the ground. A car was coming up the driveway, and they didnt have their headlights on. They said they heard a bump and thought it was a rock, so they reversed and tried to run over it again. One of the other kids banged on their window and told them they ran over a child. They reversed and under the car was [my brother], who had been run over by a car twice in a matter of minutes. Slowly all the sangat inside the gurdwara heard wat happened and they came outside. At the time, a Sant was at the gurdwara (im sorry, i really can't remember who) and he told all of the sangat to start doing simran and they did lots. the sant went up to [my brother] and touched him. Then, a boy who had just been run over opened his eyes and smiled. After he was taken to the hospital all the doctors said it was a miracle he survived. Just about two months later, he was back to normal and it was amazing according to the doctors. 'wgjkk wgjkf
