  1. Pray Truth for all and say Satsriakal! Dear Singh Comradz Ji! I appreciate your views and pray that all grow on their conscious level. Sometimes I wish to discuss Sikhi matters which may bring us back to our original lessons and hope my questions do not disturb orthodox persons much. Surly the answer will be shared with you all when God wants it to reveal. I feel relaxed about it. Balbir Singh
  2. Satsriakal to all and Singh Comradz Ji! Don't you think it would be great to know the name, the Gurus used to call the holy scripture? Perhaps it would also be interesting to know why that name was ignored. Balbir Singh
  3. Satsriakal to all and Singh Comradz Ji! Thanks for your input. I hope I have understood you correctly. We shouldn't change anything in the holy scripture as it may change the message. But we may change the name or outlook of the present Guru Ji out of love. May I ask if this freedom is alone for Sikhs or any person may name Guru Ji as per his liking? SinghStah Ji! Do you feel you have more respect and love for the Guru's True Message than others? Do we need a stage to demonstrate our competition? Balbir Singh
  4. Satsriakal to all and Crayzy Ji! You asked "what names are these....I've only ever heard permutations of Guru Granth Sahib..." Some of these names are Maharaj, Guru Maharaj, Guru Granth, Sri Guru Granth, Adi Granth, Baba Ji, Baba Ji Dee Beerh, Guru's Deh (body), Adi Gur Durbar, Dasam Gur Durbar, Sarbloh Gur Durbar, Pauthi Sahib, SGGS, Shabad Guru etc. Your next question is "there are 100+ different words for God in Guru Sahib - does the different name change the meaning of anything?" The meaning of everything changes when it gets another name by the ever changing person or Maya. God remains Truth. Balbir Singh
  5. Satsriakal to all and Japmans Ji! I have nothing to spare. The question came up and it is shared with all. Right now I am also curious like you. Think tanks among Sikhs perhaps may guide us. Balbir Singh
  6. Satsriakal to all! Thanks for your posts. ms514 Ji! Have you anything to say about the topic? What is the true name of the holy script from the Gurus? The Gurus have put a lot of efforts to save the holy scripture from changes. How did it come that the holy scripture got so many changing names? Balbir Singh
  7. Satsriakal! Where are all the Sikh babies, teens and babas? Don't You know the true Name of your Guru?
  8. Pray Truth for all and say Satsriakal! There are so many labels available for the holy script of Sikhs. What is the original name of this sacred script given by the Gurus? What made Sikhs to call the holy script with so many different names? Please express your views. Balbir Singh
  9. Pray Truth for all and say Satsriakal! Religion is a toy for children. They go on playing with it till they feel true hunger and come to the Guru's dining table. Balbir Singh
  10. Satsriakal! What happened with your Kakaars?
  11. Satsriakal! ms514 Ji! Have you found the true Janay-oo? Why are you showing the plate with three black spots. What happened with your all the three eyes? It's worrying me. Balbir Singh
  12. Satsriakal to all and ms514 Ji! Thank God. You got my message. Balbir Singh
  13. Satsriakal to all! Lion (LK)King Ji! Guru Nanak Ji called Janay-oo 'Gyan' (wisdom). I do not understand why you are raising the slogan 'discard it.' Surely I am not asking you to wear the thread or anything made of it. Balbir Singh
  14. Satsriakal to all! Why Guru Nanak Ji asked for the true Janay-oo?
  15. Pray Truth for all and say Satsriakal! Dear all! What have a Sikh and Sikhi to do with Janay-oo? Balbir Singh
  16. Satsriakal to all and Suman Ji! Thanks for the great questions. In my view, all the Gurus knew what Amrit is. One cannot know Amrit without experiencing it. They suggested us also to get Amrit by Naam Simran. Also, the gurus spread the same message and Wisdom of Truth. It is very clear from their Baanees. Only persons living on the surface of consciousness, find their message different. Balbir Singh
  17. Sat Sri Akal: Ask your helper minds and come back with a logical example.
  18. Pray Truth for all and say Satsriakal! Dear Bundha Ji! I know some Sikhs who got angry because someone touched their turban by mistake. For them the turban, gaatraa, hair-fixer etc. are also holy. And holy things are untouchable. I find God all holy. Imagine God does not allow anyone to come near to HIM. My question is to discuss the topic and become aware of our true values. In my view, Gurdev gave us Kakaars to be aware of our actions and spiritual growth. Kakaars and their keep up are not to become fanatic and expect favor belonging to a minority. Balbir Singh
  19. Satsriakal to all! It is possible one day that pictures of the Gurus, which are anyway false, are banned. What will happen with the pictures of Shaheeds which are true? Balbir Singh
  20. Pray Truth for all and say Satsriakal! Dear ms514 Ji! The topic here is Gaatraa not Balbir Singh and his way of living. It is the bliss to watch God's Will being fulfilled through all. You wrote "So...Gatraa is a method of keeping the Kirpan. I do not recall the Jeneoo holding up anything on a Hindu, unless you connect it to the Dothi..." Janayu, dhotee, gaatraa and kachchehraa all are made of thread. Also, those are worn similarly on the body. ************** Quote "why is evrything in 5's?? panj shastar? panj kakkars, panj piareh, panj bani, panj choor, etc... " Behind all numbers the Truth is ONE. Come to know ONE and you have it. For example one + one + one + one + one = five Balbir Singh
  21. Pray Truth for all and say Satsriakal! Gurdev offered Kakaars. Sikhs accepted those as Gurmat. I am not sure if Gurdev gave Sikhs also Gaatraa. Is Gaatraa the smart invention of human mind but Manmat? Perhaps the new generation of Brahmins unconsciously started wearing Gaatraa, made of thread, as Janayu. Balbir Singh
  22. Satsriakal to all and Khãlsã Ji! You wrote "Well we can't have kirpaans floating beside our waist" And "Its pretty much common sense." Namastang Ji wrote "gatra came during ferengi times. In puratan times, sikhs used to have shastars intact in kamarkasa, not just kirpan but sikhs also used to carry five shastars(some are hidden, some visible) mentioned in sri dasam guru granth." A curiosity is raised here. Is it only you or some other Sikhs who have common sense? What about Sikhs of puratan times who wore Kirpan and other shastars intact in kamarkasa. Balbir Singh
  23. Pray Truth for all and say Satsriakal! Dear All! Sikhs, strictly Amritdhaaree Sikhs, wear five Kakaars. One of those is a sword (Kirpaan). Gurdev gave Sikhs Kirpaan as one of the Kakaars. Sikhs keep Kirpaan in a sheath with a belt (Gaatraa). My question is this. Why and how the practice of wearing sheath and Gaatraa started? Is this practice from Guru Ji's time? Please express your views. Balbir Singh
  24. Satsriakal to all and International Akaali Ji! Ignorance is not to be compared among people, folks or religions. It is a tool of Maya. We are influenced by either Maya or we are lucky to have received the True Simran. Balbir Singh
