  1. Hard times like these are a test of ones faith. If one's faith is strong in Waheguru (inspite of difficult times), Waheguru will aid you.

Severe illnesses like this can be 'Karma Da Lekha' where you are suffering due to your past deeds. Only meditation upon Naam will be of aid to you.

I always tell my mother this as she also suffers from MS and is basically in a wheel-chair.

'God is never wrong. People suffer for a reason and it is just that they suffer.'

Think about all the qurbani's that our Guru's did and the many great martyrs of Sikhi. They never lost faith in Waheguru regardless of what happened.

  2. If someone follows their religion fully and in a truthful manner, they are said to be Extremists. Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale was an example of this. Just because he went back to the roots of Sikhi and tried to follow it in the way it should, he was labelled an Extremist.

"If following one's religion makes him an extremist, then an extremist I am."

  3. If people diagree about turning your back to the Guru Granth Sahib, that means you can't move anywhere because which way can you turn where Waheguru isn't present?

Refer back to the story of when Guru Nanak Dev Ji went to Mecca and had his feet pointing in the direction of the Kabbah. Musalman's said do not put your feet in the direction of our Kabbah. Guru Nanak replied "Put my feet in a position where God does not exist."

  4. A name is a name but I feel that we should stay with our culture as Panjabi's and keep names that are Panjabi. I never understood why some people in our community choose to keep western names or name their children with english names. Are Panjabi names not good enough?

I feel that the root of this problem is that people are afraid to show their seperate identity. They want to fit in with the 'Goreh' so that no one will say "Why is your name different to our?" The problem is that some members of our community have lost their religous roots and also their cultural roots and want to become like 'Goreh.'

I recommend that these people that have strayed from the true path should watch "Khalsa" by Mangal Singh Dhillon.

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh!!!!!

  5. Gurfateh!

This may seem tedious but has anyone seen the 10 min video from www.khalsa.tv regarding BlueStar?

Does anyone know what the music is that plays when you see Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale walking around in the Temple Complex?

    Thanks in Advance!
