Hi,

We try our best to bann the users and their IP. On average we bann over 25-30 users a day... We have filtered the religious words. but people use different one with more NN's or AA's or AAAA's. You can't use word GURU NANAK. but people use it with different spellings.  It's a common problem among all the chat rooms. We are trying our best and so are other hundereds of chat sites.

    Regards,

I dont think it's gud enough so I will be emailling again to press for more action and moderators on the chat.

  3. Man, 67, robbed in temple toilets Jul 19 2005

    By The Huddersfield Daily Examiner

A 67-year-old man was attacked and robbed in a temple. He had withdrawn money from a bank in Huddersfield town centre then went to the toilets at the Sikh Temple, Prospect Street, at about noon yesterday. Police believe the robber had followed him. He punched and kicked the victim in the toilets and stole the cash. The victim suffered cuts and bruises. The robber fled down Manchester Road towards Longroyd Bridge and crossed Hudders- field Narrow Canal, near Earnshaws motorcycles. He was described as a mixed race African-Caribbean man, aged between 27 and 34, just over 6ft, with short or balding hair and he wore glasses. He wore a red and black T-shirt and blue jeans. Call Pc Neil Dunne on 01484 436582.

Why dont these gurdwara's have secruity? Anyone who does such a thing should have be cut up in pieces by sewadars. If gurdwara's cant maintain safety and secruity for Guru sahib and it's congregation then it should not be operating.

I find it amazing how gurdwara's are so laxed and let any tom, <admin-profanity filter activated> or harry just walk in the gurdwara and do anything they want.

This is a wake up call for committee's to take note....their are no more excuses.

    109595

Well, you cant actualy blame the Gurdwara itself, if derz sum1 2 blame, blame da comitee members. The comitee members need to be more alert ov fings hapnin @ da Gurdwara. whas da point of becomin a member wen u cnt comit up 2 ya wrk?

  7. I need some advise plz. I know of a man who is Amrit Shak but drinks alchohol and eats meat regularly. His parents are well respected Amrit Shak members of the community as are his grandparents. He acts religious in front of his family but is drinking alchohol and eating meat when not with his family. His parents praise him everywhere they go although a lot of the people around them now know of his acts as he is regularly seen in various pubs and clubs. His actions show he has no respect for his family but even worse what respect must he have for Guru Ji's teachings.

What should be done about this individual?

    109085

sounds lyk a PA, I no bare peepz dat do dat up ere in Peterborough, N wa we tend 2 do iz confront dem, n ask wa dey get out ov defamin sikhi? @ da end ov da day u c a sikh full Amrit Dhari with Dastar, Bana n Kirpan wa u fink da otha religions wud say? 9. I personly dnt prefer Goreh names, @ da end ov da day it wud jus cover ya identity. This girl that argued wid me she has an eng name & wen it cumz dwn 2 religious studies lesonz she duno jak al bout Sikhi & avoids bein cald a sikh, but wen it cumz dwn 2 churchs n christianity she fires away so many fingz. She admits 2 y ayn she a christian, she sed she wants 2 convert but she ayn alowd cuz she stil livz wid er gran n wen er granz out she'l convert. Wud dis b da rents fault or da galz?

  10. Khalsa Jee,

Can I please know your views on keeping Sikh names under Goreh names or any other cultural names other than Sikh names?

Do you think it's right or wrong? Because we were discussing marriages and one of my m8 tld me she went to a wedding this weekend and when it came to the Ardaas the Gyani couldnt pronounce the Girls name properly because it was an english name and she didnt have a Sikh name at all, and I was arguing with this Girl today who is a "Sikh" but has a Gorah name and she justified it as if it's a right thing to keep a Gorahs name and the Gyani should have known how to pronounce it, and put the blame onto the Gyani, when it was no fault of the Gyani's what so eva.
