Apparently, y'day on Alpha Sant Singh Maskeen mentioned in his katha that at Hazur Sahib, the Nagare were beating by themselves for some time. Sant Singh wanted to see this for himself, and he witnessed it too!! He said it was devtai who were playing them as they wanted to be born in human form, and so Singh ji said that when they get their wish, the nagarai will stop. And so shortly after, they did stop!! wow! Does anybody have more info on this?

Sant Singh ji led such an amazing life, witnessing many amazing things, can't wait to read his biography!

Vaheguru Jee Kaa Khalsa! Vaheguru Jee Kee Fatheh!

There has been an update to the english translation on the SikhiToTheMAX website. There has been some criticism of the accuracy of some of the translations by Sant Singh. These were verified in Malaysia in comparison to Sahib Singh's translation along with others.

This has resulted in around 16,000 updates (roughly a quarter of the translation). Although a lot of the updates have been to the Mool Mantar translation and MangalChaarans, it still equates to around one fifth of the overall translations being translated.

There will be a further update to this thread in a few days (details on how to do a comparison of before and after etc).

Hopefully this moves us one step closer to some kind of unified and accepted translation. This in turn can be used as a base for other languages.

I think I remember hearing that the soldiers got a trusted Mullah to verify Bhai Ghani Khan and Nabi Khans asertions. The Mullah, after seeing my true king, then said that Guru Gobind Singh Ji is "peer -aa de peer" i.e. the spirtiual divine of spirtual divine people. The soldiers then let them past.

Stay strong and let somebody responsible know asap. I agree with GuruManeyoGranth that some kind of firm evidence would be great but if you can't, you still need to let somebody know with view to preventing this ever happening again. Tell the police. No doubt, finding evidence will be difficult and even evidence found will be mocked by those who hold this maha paapi in high asteem.

If you don't tell somebody, trying to avoid people getting emotionally hurt, think about the number of people who could/have got hurt in much more serious ways.

Can't believe BNP made so many gains.

Sandwell as well? I thought Sandwell was alr8.....

British National Party supporters claim it is "on its way" after doubling its number of councillors in England.

The biggest gains were in Barking and Dagenham, where it seized 11 of the 13 seats it contested, becoming the second party. One ward has still to declare.

The BNP also won seats in Epping Forest, Stoke-on-Trent and Sandwell.

The party fielded more than 350 candidates and now has 46 seats in England. Before Thursday's local elections it held about 20 of 22,000.

According to the Economist, Afro Carribeans are voting BNP as they are jealous of their "Asian" neighbours being more successful. Also anti -Muslim sentiments causing people to vote BNP. Sad state of affairs.

As Kurtas says, we have to use our votes to prevent scum getting in. If you can vote, use it. If not persuade your family to vote (obvioulsly not for BNP).

All this would only apply to Gursikhs right? coz, if at weddings people dress up in a flash suit and stuff i.e. to do stuff to make their appearance more ummmm..."beautiful?" then what is the added harm of them wearing surma and putting haldi on? coz haldi is done to make the skin colour look fairer I think.

Whereas I think the Kalgi wearing thing ought to be ban coz why wear it and then present your "used one" (as Kurtas rightly out it) to Maharaj. It's a joke that you act like you suddenly had an inspiration that it is wrong to wear it in the Darbar sahib.
