  1. Veerji, don't get carried away by the Darwinian theory of evolution which is an anglo-saxon contribution.

Darwin's theory of evolution was a byproduct of the colonisation of various parts of asia, africa and south america by the anglo-saxons who wanted to erase local narratives and impose their own.

After all when all the local mythologies and narratives of these three continents say about the presence of snake-like beings in their midst whom they used to worship, they can't be all wrong now .. can they.

Also there are hardly, the same amount of temples dedicated to eagles, hawks, lions, tigers or wolves.

then why the pre-historic fascination/obsession with only snakes to the exclusion of other predators. Kuch to baat hoga naa ..

Let's cross our fingers and wait for time to give us the answer.

  2. Underestimating the power of the ancients are we ?

Naga was not only a kingdom, they were a people .. a race of serpentine humanoids .. according to wikipedia. :p

Pun aside, don't brush them away that easily. Why do you think the Chinese worship dragons (snakes with feet) and the Mexicans, Aztecs and Mayans worship snakes as well. In India there is Anant Nag in Kashmir and Nag-ercoil in KanyaKumari.

There is Nag-pur in Maharashtra and Nag-aland in North East of India.

The symbol of the Saxons of Europe is also a Dragon.

  3. 'INDIA' only exists when a foreign power rules the sub-continent.
I didnt know people are so ignorant - there was no such thing called India at that time (even the word didn't exist ) - It was all small princely states with by now a very weak mughal ruler - Bahadur Shah - you seriously need a lesson in Indian history.

dear driends, what you say is not entirely true. Check out Wikipedia maps of the Maurya Empire and Gupta Empire.

Also check out the reach of the Naga Kingdom in India. They were spread out from Kashmir and Afghanistan right upto Kanyakumari, southern tip.

  4. But what is stopping the indian govt from doing all this again?

To others on this forum who so easily disrespect the memories of the Kharkoo's, atleast those singhs and singhnia showed the govt that commiting crimes against the sikhs will not be tolerated.

there is no assurance that for eg a BJP led Indian Govt would not try the same stunt Congress did in 84 with muslims or Christians. No guarantees whatsoever.

Only guarantee is that the Hindu baniya and baniya-minded will think twice before any disruption and international disrepute hits his pocket book.

Sikhs must have complete control over Punjab and Northern India within 3-4 years, or else BJP will impose itself and it's idelogy over everyone else. We need to fight back, but this time through covert means more than overt. The battle of hearts & minds is also important.

Finally all Indians are extremely guilty that something like this against Sikhs happened, whether they be RSS supporters or BJP supporters, though they may have another hidden agenda to absorb Sikhs within hindu fold, nevertheless they feel guilt for what happened in 84. They seek a chance to repent, and that chance must be given to them.

this will also make the hands of Sikhs much stronger ultimately. And if Sikhs gain strength the other minorities in India will also be comparitively safer. So all hands on deck.

  5. the will of the people was for khalistan as shown in 1989 elections in punjab when khalistani's won seats in a landslide victory and government was formed and headed by pro khalistan united akali dal party who themseles won 10 of the 13 seats. the leader of the party simaranjit singh mann was not allowed in indian parliament to press there claim for an independant state by democratic means. the will of the people was met with oppression so the sikhs had to fight for their right of self determination.

I still think veer that both sides were wrong.

As someone who was around in 84 and saw the massacre (not riots) I would say that Nehru's dynasty had done a biggest disservice to India. Such small people like Indira are not worthy of ruling a diverse nation.

As far as SAD Mann is concerned, creating independent Khalistan at that time will mean disintegeration of the Indian state. Because Khalistan will immidiately tie-up with Pakistan and both will be supported by US and UK. The only loser will be India. So any Indian would not be comfortable with that thought, because the very life and peace of the country is at stake. If at all SS Mann had to go about seeking Khalistan, it should have been done in a more discreet way and not challenging India outright.

OTH the Indian Govt was represent in Punjab by pusillanimous Hindus of the likes of Gobind Ram, who after centuries of living as 'dhimmis' first under Mughals and then under Sikh tried to humiliate Sikhs and remove his own inferiority complex in the guise of establishing peace and writ of the state. Bringing order in Punjab should have been completely restored to Sikhs themselves rather than bring in Hindus with an axe to grind in the picture.

It also seemed very petty, that the same Hindus for whom Sikhs had laid down their lives repaid their maganimity in the Gobind Ram'esque manner.

So there was ill-will and mistrust all around. The only mistake that can't be washed away is the killing of innocent lives by Govt of India agents like Gobind Ram, these lives can't ever come back. Those killed in 84, and those widowed can't get their lives back and just because those open wounds were created in the past, this issue will not resolve easily.

  6. I cant believe the mentality of some people. the indian government has proved that it would be prepared to kill off a whole community for its own self interests and we make excuses for them.

the Indian govt's guilt is acknowledged.

But now what can I as an indian and also someone who belongs to a minority community do to pacify you.

I will write GoI on my chest and you can take off my head. Will that satisfy your vengeance ?

  7. I do not support Sant Bhindranwale nor do I support Govt of India. I believe IndiraG used tried to pump up Bhindranwale to face the Akalis and humiliate them at their home turf just as the Congress of today is using Raj Thackeray to brow beat Shiv Sena in Maharashtra. IndiraG, in true dictatorial and family corporate style, since that is how Cong party is run, forgave slight misdemeanours by Bhindranwale and his supporters when they casually bumped off those who were inimical to their movement and terrorised others, all in the vain belief that Bhindranwale would rise against Akalis and she would have the last laugh.

Finally the whole experiment turned out quite contrary to her expecations, but instead of taking responsibility for her screw-up and stepping down she decided to teach Sikhs a lesson instead.

For this mistake of this pompous woman, we lost countless lives. this dynasty rule has made the life of the whole country miserable.

It is no wonder that Mahatma Gandhi when he heard news that the British had announced their decision to leave India, asked Congress party to be immidiately dissolved because it had already served it purpose. He probably foresaw what was to come.

  8. Been doing weights for a while was really in to it 2 years ago.

However I noticed there was mass increase rather than muscle and physic.

I also notice that black and some white guys don’t need to train yet they have physic

The only Asians I really notice with “cut up bodies” are the one doing steroids.

Anyone no why Asians dont have much physic??

Why don't you keep your generalizations to yourself instead of throwing around very casually western terminology like "Asian male", "South Asian" and so on.

You are what you eat, what you think and what you do.

I am what I eat, what I think and what I do.

And you can be whatever you want, it is in your hands.

The U.S. military has made Afghanistan safe for opium production once again

In 2000, the Taliban banned opium production in Afghanistan, making it illegal to grow poppies. Any farmer caught cultivating the cash crop would be severely punished, usually by death. By the middle of 2001, there was basically no opium produced in Afghanistan, though that nation ordinarily led the world in production of the drug. However, since the start of the U.S. led invasion, the poppy fields are growing again and the opium trade is flourishing as never before. Apparently, Bush's idea of a 'War on Terror' was making the world safe for the narcotics trade.

The Taliban had relied on opium sales to finance their operations until July 2000. It was then that the regime's leader Mullah Mohammed Omar issued a ban on the drug trade, because he claimed that it conflicted with Islamic law. Less than a year later, a U.N. delegation visited the areas of the country where poppies were traditionally grown and found nothing. The head of the U.N. Drug Control Program said: "There are no poppies. It's amazing."

In March 2002, a U.S. foreign intelligence official speaking on the condition of anonymity, reminded a reporter with NewsMax.com of the CIA's record of involvement with the international drug trade. The official said: "The CIA did almost the identical thing during the Vietnam War, which had catastrophic consequences--the increase in the heroin trade in the USA beginning in the 1970's is directly attributable to the CIA. The CIA has been complicit in the global drug trade for years, so I guess they just want to carry on their favorite business."

He went on to say: "The sole reason why organized crime groups and terrorists have the power that they do is all because of drug trafficking. Like the old saying, 'those who don't know history are doomed to repeat it.'"

The following is a listing of Afghanistan’s opium crop in metric tons, since 2001:

    -2001...185mt

    -2002...3,400mt

    -2003...3,600mt

    -2004...4,200mt

    -2005...4,100mt

    -2006...6,700mt

    -2007...8,200mt

    -2008...7,700mt

The 2008 crop of opium set a record for production and was worth an estimated $1billion.

Afghanistan could now fairly be described as a 'narco-state' and the U.S. military has played a large role in that nation's illicit evolution. Have we sent our young men to die in Afghanistan to protect or possibly monopolize the opium trade?

  10. The only prophecy that can be confirmed is the one that is the story of the Pipal Tree. For if it still exists in Punjab it can be seen...

The Tenth Master, Sahib Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji and his Sikhs were

travelling south. There was, on the way, a village by the name of saheva.

As they neared the village, they came to a grove of Jand trees. Here the

Sikhs asked the Guru if this might be a good place to stop and rest. The

Guru agreed and they made their camp.

After the camp was set up, the Guru told his men to go and look for a Pipal

tree (fig tree). They replied, "But Sir, the Pipal treedoesn't grow in this

region, for it is very arid here and the Pipal tree grows where there is

water. "Go and look" replied the Guru. The Sikhs went out to search for the

Pipal tree but returned without success. "Go and look again" said the Guru.

One Sikh climbed to the top of the highest Jand tree to look in all

directions, but still he saw no Pipal tree. Climbing down from the tree he

told the Guru that although he could not see a Pipal tree growing anywhere

around the camp, there was a tiny sapling of a Pipal tree growing in the

roots of the big Jand tree.

On seeing the sapling, the Master spoke thus: "This sapling will grow into

a mighty tree. When it overshadows the parent Jand tree and overwhelms it,

that is the time for the Order of the Khalsa to grow in large numbers. They

shall achieve recognition in the direction and the countires of the West.

Then the flag of True Religion shall be implanted there. The Sikhs shall

become sovereign in the Sikh homelands and then become the decision

makers." On hearing this the Sikhs made a deep obeisance and said, "Glory

be to the Guru and the True Master."

In 1862, whent he British were in India, Sir Attar Singh, the chief of

Bahadur sent this prophecy of Sahib Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji to Queen

Victoria in England. That the Queen took the prophecy seriously there is no

doubt, for she asked the royal scientists what the rate of growth of the

Pipal tree was known to be. When they told her that it would be 100-150

years until the Pipal tree overshadowed the parent tree, she breathed a

    sigh of relief.

In 1957 or thereabouts, it was reported that the Pipal tree was equal in

height to the parent Jand tree. Based on this, we can expect some

significant events to take place in the next few decades that will cause

this prophecy of the Guru to be fullfilled!

The above is taken from THE VOICE OF TRUTH (Sach Di Avaaj) Vol. 1 No. 1 & 2

which is publiched by Sri Guru Gobind Singh Khalsa Garh Malaysia.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Do You Know?

    * Within the pages of Sikh history, it is recorded prophecy of sahib Sri

Guru Gobind Singh Ji that there shall one day be 960,000,000 Pure Ones who

shall rise up in the West and shall guide this earth. sahib Sri Guru Tegh

Bahadur Ji meditated facing the West because he had said that the rule of

the Khalsa would come from that direction. And in one of his Hukan Namas,

Sri Guru Hargobind Ji says that those in the West will become Khalsa.

Sahib Sri Guru Singh ji had a white hawk which had a very special job. In

those days, enemy forces used messanger pigeons to send messages between

Delhi and Lahore. The white hawk was so gentle that it could go after a

pigeon and bring it down without hurting it in any way. This was important

because once a pigeon loses even a feather out of a wing, it is noticeable.

Once down, the message the pigeon carried was read and put back, and the

bird was allowed to fly away again and the enemy never suspected a thing.

The following sermon was recorded by Bhai Mani Singh in Bhagat Ratnavali

and by Kavi santokh singh in Suraj Prakash.

"To be a Sikh is to grow steadily in spiritual expereince like a tree.

humility forms the root of Sikh Dharm. Without it this faith dwindles and

dies in the soul of man. Service of humility should be deemed the branches

of this tree, while charity is its shade. When one associates with holy men

for enriching oneself, then the leaves and buds of Sikh Dharm emerge from

it. To understand the divine Word is to acquire the fruit of Sikh Dharm. He

truly is a Sikh whose inward life leads to the understanding that the Atma

(Soul) is the reality, while the material world is transient.

    1862 + 150 yrs is 2012

Mayan prophecy of end of times.

  11. >> Such "BIG" social problems which india miserably failed should not be kept under the carpet.

Boss, why is the west God damned obsessed with only India's problems. Hey don't you find a pattern here ??

As unfortunate as it sounds- I do feel that whites esp of the WASP variety will find a face of India `acceptable' that reinforces their stereotype of India being a backward and poverty ridden society. Nothing else can explain why Indian movies like Taare Zameen Par got short shrift at the Oscars since it portrayed Indians tackling more evolved emotions and not just being mired in poverty and struggling to succeed. I have no doubt Slumdog will do very well at the Oscars- it's main competition comes from "A Curious Case of Benjamin Button" which is a terrible movie.

I just hope that ordinary Indians will take this as a lesson and learn to be more confident about themselves rather than always seeking western validation.

Slumdog Millionaire is a Western narrative set in Mumbai with a Katherine Mayo's eye as a drain inspector (in words of Gandhi).

  12. Great Movie to see the reality of India ..

Danny Boyle did amazing work on this movie and he directed this movie in such a beautiful way !

    Everyone must watch this movie...

It's another psy-ops by Britain on India. A typical drain-pipe inspectors view on India and made with a view to placating all seperatists that massa is backing them.

    LOL

    Which part u didn't like or find non-realistic ??

Will any Indian be allowed to show the 'real' US or the 'real' UK ?

If I want to direct such a drainpipe, condescending movie on UK how many Brit actors would co-operate.

It is another matter that Indians have zero self-esteem and are perpetually waiting for western validation even if they want to show that their children are slum dogs or dog shoite.

WIll the americans allow "Bollywood" to make a movie about ... maybe Blacks in America with total masala indian style.

The movie can open with a scene where

Obama comes in and says: "I wanna be Pres oh dwent."

Whiteys first laugh at him but then realise that a Black man runnin for president will be interesting and they coach him in public speaking........... Why don't we make a script right here and forward it to David Dhawan.

    The movie can be called

    Black and White,

    Whitewash

Afterall it is part of western culture to make mockery of others misfortune.

  14. I used to sympathize with Palestinians and their cause.

But time has shown me that one can cry for muslim/Arab causes but they will never cry for us. How many people in India died after terrorist attack in Mumbai, did any of these Arabs even bat an eyelid or drop a tear.

    never.

I am not trying to defend muslims, infact I agree with what u say, but hindus are not much different. Modi genocided muslims in gujarat and WON ELECTIONS(gjujrati hindu voted this murderer into power). Indira attacked the house of Guru Nanak Dev Jee and became "Durga" and her son Won elections with a record margin.

One cannot be defensive on Indira, Modi and whomever when talking of Palestine issue.

Indira became Durga after 71 if I am correct. She lost that image to large extent after attack on Golden Temple.

Hindus can be as small minded as muslims, and who is defending them for that to bring that issue into Palestinian problem. But one thing that seperates Hinduism and Islam is that those who are dissenters can walk about freely and are relatively safe in Hindu lands.

In Islam nobody is allowed to keep a dissenting point of view. If you live in an Islamic country, whether you are muslim or kaffir one is most liable to be hunted down for a difference in opinion.
