  1. SANGAT JI I CAME ACROSS DIS.

    http://forums.waheguroo.com/Benti-Remove-A...ers-t20491.html

Benti TO ALL Sangat across UK:

Remove all Mann Jitt Weekly Newspapers from your local Gurdwara.

The Darshan Das cult have a full page advert on the back page and also has Gurbani on the same advert. It is disgraceful considering our Brothers are still in prison for killing the previous fake 'Guru' who claimed to be the Leader of all Sikhs.

No Gurdwara has allowed them to have a programme. Their programmes are mainly at Mandirs or Hindu centres. They have used this paper as an underhanded tactic to get into Gurdwaras and infiltrate the Sikh Sangat.

We must not allow their parchaar to enter our Gurdwaras. The paper will be in all Gurdwaras by the morning.

Please contact Mann Jitt on the below details:

Mann Jitt Weekly - Head Office: 267 Darlaston Road Wednesbury West Midlands WS10 7TG

Mann Jitt Weekly - Community Office : C/o Southall Community Alliance

    10 High Street

    Southall

    Middlesex

    UB1 3DA

    t. 07939 624 403

It is Distributed free across UK Gurdwaras.

Please can we forward to all forums.

I DONT THINK IT IS OK AT ALL.

  4. I wanted to share this with the Sangat so I am going to let you know the power of Naam, the reality and evidence in todays world.

My father Sahib told me not along ago that Naam is like water and our sins are like dhal (lentils) when we wash our Dhal with water we clear the dirt and we left with clean dhal, and its just the same with our bodies, we clean it with Naam.

Anyway, My father was a witness and so was alot of my relatives. My fathers Fufhar, was a very humble man, he was fed by Naam and not by food, he was the ultimate as we say 'Brahm Gyani', so much nimerta in him he never ever used to say bad things, he was highly spiritual being, anyway death knocks on everyones door, the way a person goes is totally different, here it goes. Fathers Fufhar ji, Braham Gyani knew when his death would come, he then told his son who lived in Uk at the time, that should he wish to see his father he should come now because he said death is knocking at my door.

The son was very busy at the time and told his father he will see him soon, Ok said the Fufhar, he said 'Chalo hor Sheh minhi lay la ghay' meaning he will tell the people who would take him that he will have 6 months more. But some how the son arrived to see is father early, there was lot of the family gathered in to the room to see what he had to say. The Fufhar then said Ok I dont need the six months that I required to see my son.

He then said to everyone, he has come on this earth before as father and son so many times, but he said where I will be going now, none of you will be able to reach, he said does anyone have any questions, no body answered, he then said ok I will tell you when I will go, he turned his back towards the wall, and when he did beanti that he doesnt wish to stay on this earth, he waved at his family saying waheguru ji ka khalsa waheguru ji ki fateh and went to his eternal home.

He chose when he wanted to die, he had so much Naam, the power of telling the people who were going take him when he wished to leave.

When my father told me this, my gob was down near my stomach and I was like WOW. See how much shakti it has......very few people...and I mean very few people are like this...or who are willing to take this path......

    Waheguru Naam Jahaj heh!

Believing in the power if Naam is a shakti too, which many of us struggle to gain. It's our own worldly egos that make us think we are in control of the situation. People may wish to mock when a Sikh's suggestion of spending time in Maharaj's hazoori reciting Naam as a pose to protesting. It's our own sceptical minds which make us think that we will attain more by raising our kirpans and shouting slogans. In all that is going on I am still struggling to see a Dharam Morcha, all I am seeing is an adverse reaction.

NO ONE SHOULD MOCK THE POWER OF NAAM. I DONT KNOW IF ANYONE HAS BUT ALOT OF PEOPLE DO HAVE A LACK OF BELIEF. NAAM CAN SOLVE EVERYTHING. BUT THEN WHY DID GURU JI GO TO WAR??? WE ARE NOT 'GANDHIS'...WE HAVE BEEN TAUGHT TO STAND UP AGAINST INJUSTICE AND FOR DHARAM. IF YOU CANNOT PARTAKE IN A PROTEST THEN PLEASE DO SOME SIMRAN FOR THE PANTH AND YOURSELF. BUT BECAUSE OTHERS FEEL A PROTEST WILL HELP (THEY CAN DO SIMRAN AS THEY PROTEST) DONT CRY LIKE BABIES ON THE INTERNET.

Kuljeet, believe it or not we are singing from the same hymn sheet. We just have different voices!

sarbloh, ur attititude is seen as a defeatest or anti sikh stand at the moment. join my club...

NOT ANTI SIKH AT ALL MY BRO. YOU ARE JUST GOING ON AND ON. YOUR POINT HAS BEEN MADE. SO AGREE TO DISAGREE. YOU CANT ALWAYS BE RIGHT BRO. CAN I BE PART OF YOUR CLUB?

THE PROTEST IN SOUTHALL SHOULD ALSO TACKLE THE SOHI ISSUE....SEEING AS IT IS ON HIS DOORSTEP....RSS OUT IF YOU ASK ME.

  6. excuse me, the trouble at handsworth was between our own sikhs. it could have actually been a good event had the smethwick gurdwara violence not started. the organisers actually made a positive effort this time to promote more dharam this time, it was the trouble of our own hot heads who ballsed the day up for everyone!

    YOUR EXCUSED.

I DIDNT SAY THERE WAS ANY OTHER TROUBLE. BUT ITS BESIDES THE POINT. WHAT I AM SAYING IS WE CANT GET AWAY FROM THE FACT THAT THERE WILL ALWAYS BE TROUBLE OF SOME SORT. ONE YEAR IT WAS WHITE YOUTH ANOTHER MUSLIMS ANOTHER IT WILL BE SIKHS THEN IT WILL BE BLACK YOUTH THEN AND ON AND ON AND ON. I COMMEND ALL THE HARD WORK BUT PUT THE HARD EFFORT INTO ORGANISING SOMETHING ELSE. WE CAN CRY FOREVER THAT OUR OWN HOT HEAD BROTHERS CAUSED THE TROUBLE HAVE WE WONDERED THAT MAYBE IT WAS JUST HOW MAHARAJ WANTED IT.

  7. I BEEN TO HANDSWORTH MELA ONCE AND I REMEMBER THE SINGHS HAVING A BAD TIME TRYING TO STOP FIGHTS AND MUSLIMS CAUSING TROUBLE. I WERENT THERE THIS YEAR SO I DONT KNOW BUT THE SINGHS TOLD ME A GROUP OF MUSLIM/PAKISTANI LADS WERE WAITING OUTSIDE TO CAUSE TROUBLE AGAIN. I UNDERSTAND MONTHS OF PLANNING WENT INTO THE MELA...WAS IT REALLY WORTH IT? ARE WE NOT BETTER OFF SPENDING THAT EFFORT SOMEWHERE ELSE?

  8. why don't we just ban everything rolleyes.gif

yeah, like lets hav a sikh version of the taleban and ban all music, cultural activities, dress up as ninjas so no one can look at us, have our own sikh only schools, segregate ourselves from all the other communities we live in, call everyone a racist if we dont get our own way, apply for government grants to build the biggest gurudawaras under the guise of they will be for the whole community and all will be welcome and then fight in them between ourselves and ban people we dont like from coming to them and pay for the police to come with metal detectors on the days we change the commitees so we dont get unwanted people attending... etc. etc.

    jus kiddin..!

    crazy fools :(

WHY YOU CALLING CRAZY??? AND WHO YOU CALLING A FOOL??????

IF YOU GOT NO RESPECT FOR OPINIONS OF YOUR OWN BROTHERS AND SISTERS THEN KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT. YOU ARE TAKING THE MICKY OUT OF SOMEONE BY CALLING THEM A TALEBAN BUT YET YOURSELF YOU ARE JUDGING THEM AND STEREOTYPING THEM. LOOK AT YOURSELVES IN THE MIRROR.

THE LAST MELA I WENT TO HAD ALCOHOL AND MEAT STANDS. THE COMMITTEE SAID "WHAT CAN WE DO?" BUT HEY AT LEAST THEY AINT 'CRAZY FOOLS'.

you wanna take a chill pill, as i said only joking but if you wanna have a serious debate maybe u should start by trying to understand the irony of how we are starting to sound like other fundamental groups, such as the taleban, who have no tolerance of other faiths, cultures and traditions and wish to impose their way of life on anything that moves.

Instead of trying to ban everything why cant we try make the best out of a bad situation and educate people in what they are doing wrong and why. the mele provide a great opportunity to spread our faith and educate people.

If we continue to keep ourselves to ourselves and only talk to each other and the people in our own social comfort zones, i dont think sikhi will flourish as its meant to.

Think of our Guru Nanak Dev Ji who was renowned for his travels.

I do agree that the gurudawara and the comittees have a lot more to do when organising these events and they should take responsibility for the stalls, stands and food outlets that are allowed to attend, or they should stay out of them all together and make it clear that this is not a religous event.

and if the commitee that organised the mela that you went to that had alcohol and meat stands then i say they are CRAZY FOOLS!!!!!

so cut your jibber jabber. d_oh.gif

I SEE WHAT YOU SAYING BRO BUT I WAS SPEAKING TO A SINGH IN BIRMINGHAM ABOUT THIS LAST YEAR AND HE SAID ITS A GOOD CHANCE TO PROMOTE SIKHI AND THEN WE JUST SAW WHAT HAPPEND AT THE MELA THERE. I THINK IT IS JUST THE ATMOSPHERE OF THESE MELAS THAT CANT BE CHANGED. MORE NEGATIVES THAN POSITIVES. COMMITTEES JUST WANT THERE OWN 'BALE BALE' AND DONT CARE ABOUT SIKHI REALLY.

  9. why don't we just ban everything rolleyes.gif

  10. WAS THERE A MARBLE PIECE? IF SO THEN THIS IS ANOTHER SIGN OF OUR LOVING QUAM, WHO LOVE TO FORGIVE AND FORGET...EVEN IF IT WAS ONLY 22/23 YEARS AGO....IF IT WAS OUR DAD OR MUM WHO HAD BEEN KILLED WE WOULD NOT HAVE FORGOTTEN.

SO IS THIS THE WORK OF OUR LOVELY PEACE LOVING NISHKAM BROTHERS....WHO THINK WE LIVE IN TIMES OF PEACE...WHEN WE HAVE WARS GOING ON AROUND THE WORLD?

  11. VJK VJKF ... ino all da sangat wud b tinkin sum1 wud put this upp but all dai todai ive been thinkin

if your a guru-sikh amrit tari... n u hav sum1 rite... wud it b rong to shw ur luv to her by buyin her gifts or linkin her etc

what are your views on this topic isit rong 4 an amrittari to join in with this soo called '' valentime dai'' thing?

IF YOU ARE AMRITDHARI AND YOU HAVE BEEN THINKING ABOUT THIS ALL DAY THEN YOU HAVE GOT ALOT TO WORRY ABOUT BRO.

THE SIMPLE ANSWER IS: THAT SOMEONE SPECIAL YOU GOT IS MY SISTER...AND YOUR SISTER (UNLESS YOU MARRIED HER OR ARE ENGAGED).....SO NO DO NOT ENGAGE IN RELATIONSHIPS.

  12. WE ARE NOT PROMISED HEAVEN AND VIRGINS....SO FOR US DOES IT MATTER WHERE WE ARE?

WHERE WE ARE, as you put it kuljeet is in a realm of fantasy as you stated “you imagine” this is where the problem arises. The question is not the limitations of Guru for that there is no dispute. The question is do the means justify the end? What I am implying is, is it moral to state fiction or a lie in order to bring people to a “righteous” end?

YOU ASKED: If death is liberation why would the Guru bring anyone back from it?

    I COMMENTED ON THAT.

NOW YOU ARE SAYING: What I am implying is, is it moral to state fiction or a lie in order to bring people to a “righteous” end?

I IMAGINE IT IS WRONG. I ONLY IMAGINE BECAUSE MAHARAJ STATES TREAT LIFE LIKE A DREAM/A PLAY....IT IS NOT THAT IMPORTANT THAT YOU TRY TO ACHIEVE LIBERATION. IT IS YOUR OPINION THAT THE STORY IS FALSE...IT IS OTHERS OPINION THAT IT IS NOT....YOU HAVE MADE YOUR LITTLE POINT SO JUST PUT A SOCK IN IT.

YOU HAVE MADE YOUR LITTLE POINT SO JUST PUT A SOCK IN IT.

Would that be an imaginary sock one or a real one?

You carry on dreaming and coexisting with the rest of your buddies in the land of the Easter Bunny and Santa Clause somewhere between Never land and Oz. Factually speaking based on some of the claims that are made on this forum people are reducing the Fact of Sikhi to a piece of fiction.

The truth will always remain be it cold and uncompromising, even well after the fantasists and dreamers have long gone. Good luck building a nation on the foundation of lies; will this be the great Khalsa state?

    SAT SRI AKAL

DID I SAY I AGREE OR DISAGREE WITH THE VERSIONS? WHY YOU ARE SOO MUCH ON THE DEFENSIVE I DONT UNDERSTAND...WHAT MAKES ME A FANATIC?

MAHARAJ HAS TOLD US THAT LIFE IS A DREAM, TREAT LIFE LIKE A PLAY, WE COME AND GO.....HENCE I GUESS I HAVE DEVELOPED AN IMAGINATION....I APLOGISE IF BY ME SAYING 'I IMAGINE' HAS OFFENDED YOU DANCING WARRIOR....WHO ARE YOU WISHING GOOD LUCK TO? THE REST OF US LOST SOULS? THE REST OF THE PANTH? NEXT TIME I WILL REMEMBER THAT YOU ALONE DANCING WARRIOR HAVE ALL THE ANSWERS...THE REST OF US MERE MORTALS ARE JUST LOOKING UP AT YOUR BIG HEAD IN OWE.....I HOPE I HAVEN'T MADE ANY SPELLING ERRORS....IF I HAVE I APOLOGISE IN ADVANCE DANCING WARRIOR VEER JI/PEN JI.

  13. WE ARE NOT PROMISED HEAVEN AND VIRGINS....SO FOR US DOES IT MATTER WHERE WE ARE?

  14. The reason is, penji, that we respect females more than males.. thats how i think of it..

I won't want my sister to touch my feet/touch my shoes.. Because Singhnis are princesses..

There's a reason why Guru Ji gave the royal status to Sikh Girls, as Kaurs.

YEH I AGREE WITH THIS TOTALLY....BUT SHAME OUR PRINCESSES ARE DRAGGING THEIR PRINCES AWAY FROM DOING SEWA THESE DAYS....THAT IS OBVIOUSLY IF THE PRINCE WANTS TO SEWA IN THE FIRST PLACE. SORRY OFF THE TOPIC MAYBE?

  15. Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh

ItS the belief of all true Sikhs that Guru Sahib Ji beheaded each of the five Sikhs and breathed new life into them. Thus the creation of a new brother hood, the Khalsa. The Guru baptiesed them with a Khanda and in turn asked to be accepted into the Khalsa himself. So from the Panj Piyaray Guru Gobind Rai became Guru Gobind Singh. Such was the dramatic beginning of the Khalsa brotherhood.[

It can be argued that without the actual act of decapitation, it would have been an incomplete test and perhaps even a dishonest request upon the part of The Guru; perhaps it is for this reason that Sikhs have such faith that The Guru did as the The Guru said He would.

It also follows therefore that without being 'killed', these Five Beloved Disciples would not have had the opportunity to be 'reborn' as The Khalsa of The Guru which is clearly the very concept that The Guru intended to put across to His Sikhs.

    Hello Cartman,

Are you saying the Guru performed a Miracle by decapitating the five beloved? If so was this reflective of The Gurus way?

    What do you think?

Did GOD not make the Kaaba rotate?

Did GOD not perform the Panja Sahib miracle ?

Did GOD not perform the miracle of the blood and milk from roti?

Did GOD not perform the miracle of Guru Nanak & the Grazing Buffaloes?

And many many more, all done via the Gurus, do you doubt this??

If death is liberation why would the Guru bring anyone back from it?

IS DEATH LIBERATION? I WOULD IMAGINE EVERY SINGH/KAUR WOULD WANT TO COME BACK TO DO MORE SEWA OF THE PANTH.

  16. JUST LIKE TO SAY THAT THE WHOLE QUESTION DOES NOT APPLY...'SIKHISM' SOUNDS LIKE A RELIGION TO ME...SIKHI IS A WAY OF LIFE....BUT PUTTING IT INTO A CATEGORY FITS PERFECTLY INTO THE HANDS OF THOSE WE TRY TO PLEASE TODAY...WE DO NOT TRY TO PLEASE OUR GURU, BUT INSTEAD WE TRY PLEASING SOCIETY AND GOVERNMENTS....EVEN IF THEY ARE WRONG AND EVIL THEMSLEVES....WE HAVE TO PLEASE PEOPLE AS WE HAVE NO POWER, AND MOST IMPORTANT WE HAVE NO FAITH IN OUR GURU.
