Have you just contraicted yourself again? God created us out of his own will, but you said that God never created us because of bad karma, KARMA COULD OF ONLY BEEN ATTAINED AFTER CREATING US!!! (brother didnt you think before you type? ) So Sikhism does say God created us through his own will. The fact that we suffer is because of our bad karma. Get it right first brother. Illusion is attachment!!! I.e. lets look at ppl when Katrina happened, when this happened there houses were destroyed if these ppl were attached to their homes, then that is them in maya (attached in illusion to there homes) and that will cause them great pain. This temporaray world will go one day, and what use is it getting attached to it? If these people werent attached to there homes, they would not have had any pain of thier homes being destroyed rather they would of just accepted Gods will and they would of adapted to where ever God took them. So where ever they went they would be in bliss, remebering God, and accepting his will. As the only true ppl will be only attached to the Lord, and they only need God to get attached too, as only God is permenant and only God will be with us forever. Just think of these ppl in the maya of their homes, how long and how much will they suffer as thier homes will nevr ever be in the same state again? Or there temporary belonging have been destroyed, That what this temporary maya does! The only true attachment that we should have is with the Lord the only permenant being who is with us all the time. I hope the sangat corrects me if ive got the wrong meaning of maya. Our sins arent an illusion, they will be with us forever, but we do our sins in the love of a illusion, after getting into this illusion out of attachment thinking this life is permenant! Getting illusioned to thinking that this material world is permenant. I.e. if i stealed a xbox, why did i steal? In the love of maya! Love of this temporary materilistic world! Why do i need this maya, when i can have the attachment to the Lord, the only permenant being?!! Yes there real, but are they with me all the time? Is the sky always going to exist? Is this Ocean is always going to exist? Are the Birds going to be with me all the time? God forbid but if i die now are my parents going to be with me then to support my soul going to the next stage of after life? I came alone and i will go alone. Are they going to be permenanty with me? No, how can they help me when im dead while there on earth? WHO PROTECTS ME? WHO'S WITH ME ALL THE TIME? GOD. God only! Which is why we dont get attached to anyone except to God, as God is the only truth! The only permenant being with us all the time, the only being who supports me all my time. And that night was the first night in my whole entire life that i had ever had anand, something i couldnt understand or feel before this, So why did i have a personal experience if Jesus Christ is the only way? And by the way its a good job you posted here, so the sangat can try and help you to help your friend (and by the way the fact that you are concerned and want to help her is very sweet of you- your a good friend). The fact that shes not into Sikhi, maybe you could persuade her to come to the Gurdwara Sahib with you, so she thinks that she thinks shes supporting you going to the Gurdwara Sahib, when she will be really helping herself find peace and get rid of depression if she has any. Like the sister above said maybe shes got problems or she might be aiming to be skinny like a model to attract lads. You could try to find out whats going on in her head, like how shes feeling. And you could remind her you will support her all the way what ever shes going through, and she can trust you, and tell her that you care for her. You could ask her why she throws food away, and what ever she replies the sangat on here can maybe give you solutions on the problems that shes got. Maybe you could indirectly make her realise she looks good how she is, and she should be happy with what shes got, and that shes got a duty to look after it as Waheguru give us this body, and remind her that this body is temporary so looking good to impress the lads isnt going to help.
