What do you know about the Agan Bhet Sewas being done under the dekh-rekh of Bh. Narinder Singh jee? How can you conclude that Agan Bhet of Hand Written and Stone Stamped Paavan Saroops and Guttka Sahib & Pothi Sahib were done there? In regards to the Agan Bhet Sewa organized by Bh. Narinder Singh jee, only the modern printed Paavan Saroops or Guttkes are being Agan Bhet unless a Paavan Saroop comes half burnt. No Hand Written and Stone Stamped Paavan Saroops or Guttka Sahib or Pothi Sahib are Agan Bhet. Please see the list of documents below showing how many Paavan Saroops and Guttka Sahib & Pothi Sahib were given to SGPC for the Sevaa Sambhaal. Yes, a lot of times we get the Paavan Saroop that is not Biradh but that doesn’t mean we Agan Bhet that Paavan Saroop. Paavan Saroops are inspected (Darshan) three times prior to concluding Biradh. A lot of Paavan Saroop are fixed (sevaa) at these Sewa places. To date about 9700 Paavan Saroops have been given back to the Sangat that came to these Sevaa places (including Toronto) as Biradh. With Guroo Saaheb Jee’s blessings, Sangat in Toronto has taken the project of installing outdoor LED Screens at Sree Darbaar Saaheb (concept photos attached) for spreading the message of Gurbaanee to the visitors visiting Sree Darbaar Saaheb. The outdoor screens will let Sangat in circumambulation/parkarmaa (irrespective of weather) read the translation of Gurbaanee and get the message of Guroo Saaheb Jee. Some of you must have seen these types of outdoor LED screens in downtown Toronto. We have received the approval from SGPC for the installation and now we need to raise funds to accomplish this project. We humbly request you to carefully consider the image being promoted. The "superheroes" portrayed are far from being a positive image of Sikhs. Though the intention may have been to generate excitement and pride amongst Sikhs and to show the general public that Sikhs too have superheroes amongst them, we must ensure that the image being promoted in fact matches the actual character and virtues of a Sikh that Guru Granth Sahib and our history portrays. The excellence of character that identifies a Sikh as superhero is to be revealed both in visible and inner virtues. Chivalry, modesty in thought, word and action along with selfless service to humanity in spirit, matching the life of Guru Sahib are alone the hallmarks of a Sikh. The current poster diminishes Sikh identity by playing fast and loose with Sikh Rehat Maryada in presenting the lead male and female characters as superheroes and role models. They appear more as villains, abandoning the true Sikh virtues. Going about "saving the world" with the hair uncovered is far from being obedient to Sikh Rehat and to the visible identification as a Gursikh. The Kirpan is supposed to be worn in a Gatra, not attached to a belt. Furthermore, pierced ears as in the case of the young girl are not in the spirit of how Sikhs should raise their children towards principled Sikh living. Most troubling of all is the dramatic clothing and poses portrayed by the four characters. There is an unwholesomeness and shallowness that reeks of the typical [b-H]ollywood-type depiction of men, women and children and debasement of true human nature. It is unfortunate that the mainstream culture is flooded with such images on billboards, movie and television screens, and in print advertisement. These images incite immorality in all segments of society - young and old, male and female of any faith. It is against this backdrop of media and social decadence that the outstanding Sikh virtues of unique visible identity, maintenance of natural form and modesty of character should be promoted. Sikh identity projects a vision of uniqueness, unalloyed wholesomeness, trustworthiness and humility that acts as a beacon to all to turn to. When Sikhs already have their own prescribed dress and way of living that exudes grace and spiritual refinement. It promotes a modest lifestyle, and the social welfare through selfless service, where is the need to ape the street culture of tights, revealing cuts and egoistic-attitude. Particularly as these cartoon characters represent as role models - popular icons, they become a powerful force capable of creating lasting biased images and attitudes about Sikhi in the minds of those unfamiliar with true Sikh values and identity. As the 2008 SWFF poster can promote true Sikh character, it can misrepresent towards un-Sikh character. Sikhs already have their own heroes in the example of Guru Sahib and in the lives of Sikhs who lived emulating Guru Sahib. Let us not adopt false heroes who cast aside the example of Guru Sahib and project a shallow reflection of Sikh character. Please, with the above in mind, we urge you to consider this matter seriously and replace the current 2008 poster with one that is representative of the true superhero character of Sikhs. In regards to the protest details, here is a brief description. Sangat got there in the morning but somehow they found our plans and this chief guest (chela) was inside the Banquet Hall before the Sangat arrived there. Sangat wanted to meet the chela but police didn't allow. Singhs insisted we've the invitation and we should be allowed but police didn't allow. Then Singhs kept on saying slogans about Ashutosh's reality and challenged his chela about mis-interpreting Gurbani. Sangat was there for almost whole day. We'll try to put the Audio of the event. He is saying that Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji was chela of Shiv 2. He is breaking Sikhs from Gurmat principles and trying to divert Sikhs to his Guru, Ashutosh 3. He is misinterpreting Gurbani 4. He says that you guys just believe in Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji but I know Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji with the blessings of my Guru, Ashutosh 5. He says that you guys just do external Parkash/Darshan of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji but I have got enlightenment of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji with the blessings of my Guru, Ashutosh 6. You guys are talking about breaking India and we will make the whole world India 7. He calls popular Sikh Magazines being agents of Pakistan 8. He calls Sikhs as terrorists and further says they don't have anything inside and therefore can't give anything to anyone. He says we have knowledge inside and that's what we give to our followers

Everyone is aware of anti-Sikh activities of Ashutosh but even after knowing all this, Sikh/Punjabi members of Parliament in Canada are supporting him and that implies anti-Sikh activities. So, it seems like all they care about is VOTE. One of his chela came to here in Toronto and Sangata did a demonstration outside the hall today and found out about these culprits. And therefore Sikh Community of Toronto asks you to sign a petition asking these members to apologize in the media. Their letters are attached.
