i always thought that Kaur translating into princess is a very common misconseption and really comes from a price named Kaurna---some thing

who asked his father if he could go fight in a war ... and that name given to him meant Lutinent. as an army ranking... i think 10 patshah gave woman the name of Lutinent as in symbolizing that his daughters could comand an army of singh

any one else ever come across this explaination as well???

interesting that her dad had to take amrit for anad karaj

should this not still be in place that only amritdharis can and should go around for anand karaj?

What the hell is wrong with you??...where did you draw that conclusion from?....I am from Dehli and i am a Sant Jarnail Singh Ji Khalsa Bhinranwaleh supporter...just because we do not live in the homeland it does not mean that we are anti panth. Your just making more divisions in an already divided community. Remember that all the Mahaan Shaheeds laid down their lives so that we would unite under the KESRI NISHAAN SAHIB!... your making divisions under it!!...Wake up!!

  5. i heard Bhangra came from followers of Shiv Ji..who used Bhaang (cannabiss) to intoxicate themselves and dance round a fire or summit like that...

im not 100%..but it kinda makes sense coz tha two names link.

Just because some people are against it doesn't mean they have to make stories or associate negative words with. Not referrring to you, just in general.

I would agree with the following paragraph.

Bhangra originates from the North of India in Punjab. Originally Bhangra was a dance performed to celebrate the harvest of crops. Farmers would gather at the Vasakhi Mela to Sing and dance.

Another note for the few fanatics, Vaisakhi Mela isn't a religious thing. Vaisakh is a month when the crops are harvested. A Vaisakhi Mela is to celebrate that.
