  1. I can't help laughing at people that get tattoos in this day and age. They come across as lame and extremely unfashionable. I mean 20 years ago sure, I could see the attraction in doing something unique and different. It certainly looked cool then. But now ? In the year 2013 ? Oh no. This is a time when every old woman has tattoos. Dinner ladies....lollymen men and women....politicians, news anchormen teachers and accountants and even priests. The people who get them done these days have boring run of the mill written all over them. Unimaginative bores. We live in a time where the one who doesn't get tattoos is the cool one that does something diffrent and stands out from the crowd. I truly pity the saddos that get tattoos these days. Pity, but still can't help laughing at them.

  2. Important to include Monas and non-Sikh Khalistanis into our struggle for Khalistan.

From what I've noticed in UK Sikh society at large, and especially during the London rally last Sunday, mona Sikhs are far more likely to be pro-Khalistan than keshdaris. The reason for this is because besides Sikh pride they also possess nationalistic Punjab pride, and as every self-respecting Punjabi knows the Punjab never was part of India and never should be and only became so through lies and deceit in 1947. From what I've seen, it is moneh sikhs that are wondering how they can get more keshdari sikhs into the notion of a free and independent Punjab. For me personally, 'Khalistan' is just word a word. What is important for me is a nation called Punjab, for I as a Punjabi don't look like them Indians, don't eat the same foods as them Indians, don't have the same language as them Indians, don't have the same culture and traditions as them Indians, don't have the same history as them Indians. For them Indians to be ruling over Punjab is the same as Sweden ruling over Punjab , i.e strange and different foreigners that have no business being there.

  3. We already know what fascist criminal scum bags in garb of sikh bana are capable of, they killed many nihang singhs during late 1990 and they definitely have innocent hindus blood on their hands..whilst there are many sikh genuine refuge who came to canada and abroad because they were innocent and tortured by police but there are criminal ones, and those are the ones who finger youths all day long with their khalistan rhetoric, while these scum bags committed crimes and ran away to safe haven like canada, uk, us..now these cowards wants finger the young generation of sikhs and hide behind them with their khalistan rheotric..be careful in nagar kirtan guys, don't let anyone take you for free ride..!!

^ The mother of all uncle Toms. :blush2:

A very very very poor, lame and sorry exuse for a Sikh.

On Sunday, in London there were tens of thousands of professional women and educated youngsters calling for Khalistan with passion in their hearts. Tens of thousands of them. And yet here you are portraying them as facists and criminals. You are an absolute disgrace neosingh. An absolute disgrace.

  4. Good riddance to fascist quebec soccer federation...they should move to france where they can join other fascist francophones...!!

Most canadains are tired of quebec racist policies..do you guys know quebec idi0t lawmakers have language police which ensures everyone speaks french in quebec area?.

    http://globalnews.ca/news/499201/pastry-shop-owner-against-quebec-language-police-gains-support/

Don't think there's anything wrong with the language requirement. Whenever I visit Punjab I wish there was a law against the Hindi speakers there.

But the French language thingy is nothing new. Its been a feature of all French speaking countries, and especially France, for many centuries now. Scholars say this is best understood by looking at Paris and London. The way that Paris and London has developed over the centuries mirrors the development of the French and English languages. Paris, not that long ago, under Housemann, knocked down all its old buildings in the centre of Paris and decided to replace them with new, uniform, aesthetically pleasing building which, although extremely beautiful all look the same. The French language mirrors this. It thinks of itself as something of beauty that shouldn't be tinkered with, especially by vile words of the rustic english language. London on the other hand, developed in a haphazard way. The only city on earth where on the same street you find a victorian pub, roman baths, Norman cathedral, Edwardian villa, stone age pagan stones, art deco apartment block, gothic chapel and ultra modern skyscraper. London has this in street after street. The English language developed in the same way that London did. Without caring one way or the other it absorbed foreign words from various languages and just carried on conquering the world. There are of course absurdities. For example if you're on a train in England and you want a sandwich you have to make your way to 'The Buffet bar', whereas if you're on a train in France and you want a sandwich, you must make your way to 'Le snack bar' :biggrin2:

It is a totally natural reaction for France and Quebec to hold on to it's language dearly. Its on it's last legs. Recently, a couple of the francofone African countries decided to abandon the French language, embrace English and join the Commonwealth instead. French, at he moment, is like a cornered rat fighting in defence mode. Hence reactions such as the language requirement and racist rules.

  5. mostly youngsters sitting in western countries have strong fantasies of khalistan...

Though i supported it in the past....being PRACTICAL now & reflecting on long term survival......the current model of khalistan sounds absurd to me. Why?

1)Sikhs are minority in punjab itself. Punjabis have drifted away from sikhi .(Live a proper 2-3 months in punjab to understand this point). So, a Sikh state with Sikhs being a minority? (5 Piare system will not and cannot be possible, as the authority wont be recognized) Seculars will rule, Sikhi will take a back seat.

    2) A land locked country- will make trade difficult affecting the economy, leaving us with a poor economy. Not to mention lack of natural resources. Along with the under-educated current population. The sad thing is, Punjab was an agriculture society and still is one. This is the very reason Sikhs/Punjabis move out of India/Punjab alltotgether for greener postures abroad.

3)Punjabis/Sikh have endless bickering habbits with endless backbitting as we see in punjab. With such prevailing traits and senseless politicking, countries rarely develope vibrant economies. e.g: India (compared to China)

4)Corruption is deep rooted in desis,a progresive economy is not possible with hardcore corruption habbits.

    5) Instability will be prevalent, with various Sikh "sectarianism" around.....they will also compete againts each other for political dominance/power. Lets be honest, people from various groups can even get along well on Sikhsangat, what to talk of in a Sikh state(?!?!?!).

    6) Delhi Gurdwaras, Patna Sahib and Hazoor Sahib will be seperated from Panth permanantly. Whichever goverment controls it geographically will also control in politically, causing production of dubious hukamnamas and conflicts. Not to mention the Panth severe difficulties for doing yatra there.

7)Clowns sitting in western countries who talk about Khalistan(and ussually the only ones), if Khalistan is formed, majority wont move to it in the first place, who wants to leave the perks of developed western countries have to offer? (and move to a country whose major economy is still agriculture)

    list is endless,,,shall I continue?

    8) The only proper place & Organized in Punjab is Chandigarh, that too is run by Central Gov. Shows lack of leadershil and resolve in Punjabis. Even if there is resolve to bring change, there is no MONEY because corruption eats it away.

Ofcourse people are going to hate me, but I am just being PRACTICAL. do reflect on my points and reality..

Deep down I do hope the Khalsa Raaj Bhai Rama Singh jee talk about in his Autobiography comes true....

You, and the people that have given you a thumbs up for it, have just listed reason after reason why half the countries of the world should be stripped of their nation status.

For god's sake half the countries of Europe are landlocked and the majority have a population less than Punjab. We're living in a time where tiny countries with tiny populations such as Scotland are about to become independant nations.

I am truly astounded by the slave mentality being displayed by some here. My relatives in Punjab never mention the word 'Khalistan' because whilst 2 decades ago the punishment for doing so was death by false encounter recent news stories have demonstrated that the average punishment for raising Khalistan slogans in India is a 13 month jail sentence. And yet here you people are saying "people in Punjab don't want Khalistan otherwise they'd be saying it'. :stupidme:

Honestly, if you had the desire you could come up with a million and one reasons why Canada as a nation shouldn't exist, as the world acknowledges it as a pretty pointless and boring, albeit beautiful, country. It has no language of it's own. It has no culture of it's own and it has a big giant powerfull dangerous war hungry country as a neighbour. How come you think there's a point to Canada and yet you don't think there's a point to an independant Punjab that only became part of India as recently as 60 odd years ago by trckery, lies and deceipt ? What could possibly be the point of New Zealand ? or Croatia ? or tiny Malta ? or Belgium ?

What could possibly be your motivation for those double standards ?

Sikhs, are the only major religion on earth without their own homeland. Doesn't that tell you somethng ? They (in Punjab) live under a power that bans the use of their language in schools for their children, bans their children from school if they wear the required Sikh symbols, ban Sikhs from the workplace if they wear the required Sikh attire, fire rockets into the Golden Temple for the first time since Ahmad Shah Abdali in 1757, murder, according to international human rights organisations a quarter of a million of your brothers, rape thousands of your sisters, hang your people at will, commit genocide against your people at will and then reward the killers with positions of high office, habitualy deny your people justice for those atrocities and then portray you in their media as silly bufoons. And the price, in Punjab, for complaining is either arrest, torture, being labelled a terrorist or...death.

What kind of position in life do you want your Sikh children to inherit that you wish for them to live that kind of second class life ?

Do you (or will you when you have them) hate them that much ?

  6. India would have backing from a lot of nations? India is a developing nation. Do you think the world will support us (what do we have when compared to India?), they will just lose valuble trade with India.

It's great talking about it and imagining a Sikh land, but do you honestly think we can get a country? We can't even run gurdware without being at each others necks! People stealing from gurdwara golaks, imagine if they had a country....

Our leaders don't even go and stand with those who just want justice do you think they will stand with us when we demand a country?

Hang on a minute. The white Christians argue with each other in their churches and then they habitually go off in a huff and make their own sperate churches with new denominations. Then, because they habitually can't stop arguing, some of these new protestants then go off and start their own new churches with yet newer denominations. The vicars in the established church say they don;t really believe in god. The priests in the other churches fiddle with kiddies. Both are still arguing with hate and venom about letting women be involved whilst 80% of the churches have, over the last few decades, been turned into either pubs or Sikh Gurdwaras.

So........bearing in mind their absolutely terrible track record in running their religious affairs without argument and war......why are you not suggesting that every nation on earth that is a white christian country should immediately be stripped of it's nationhood ?

  7. saw this documentary a few times, the first time being the time of its release. It has a very strong pro indian government bias from Sonia Deol. I don't consider her to be a Sikh. A lot of reporting post 1984 from western sources is a lot more accurate in the depiction of events that occurred.

The Sonial Deol criticism is a tad unfair. She's just a pretty face. A bit of an airhead and she makes no claim of being anything more. Her task in the programme, was to be the pretty face behind the propoganda of main researcher and producer Mandeep Singh Bajwa. Mr Bajwa, is a well known agent of the Indian government.. Next time he's listed as a producer of a BBC show.....be sure not to watch it. It's sure to be nothing more than a hot steaming pile of dog poo.

  8. Perhaps I'm missing something and playing soccer in a field is something completely different to playing football on a pitch, but the honourable MP would do himself and the community a favour by reading what I stated on the other thread yesterday. i.e....it is not FIFA that make the rules of the game. FIFA take instruction on rules and regulations from an organisation called IFAB. IFAB are the rule making body not fifa. IFAB is made up solely of the home nation football associations...i.e England, Scotland and Wales. The MP will have a greater chance of a positive result if he sends his letter to the right people.

  9. You can't expect a sensible ruling about football from a nation that is such a non-footballing nation they even call it something weird and strange like 'soccer'.

It is time, then, for us UK Sikhs to play our part. As you know, each nation has their own footballing asscociation with names that are preceded with their nation's identity. The only exception to this is the english Football Association which is simply known as The Football Association as it was the original one (in much the same way that the UK is the only nation who's postal service does not have the nation's identity in it's name.....simply The Post Office). Fifa, is of course the governing body of football but the rule making body is not Fifa.....it is IFAB (International Football Association Board). FIFA takes it's instructions on rules and regulations from IFAB. As the nation that invented football, IFAB is made up solely by members of the 3 British football federations....with 4 fifa observers on board. That is to say, British football representatives are the sole rule-makers for the world game. Fifa can only set rules and regulations on the instruction of the British members of IFAB.

As British Sikhs, we know full well that the rule put in place by Quebec would be considered both illegal, unethical and racist by the British authorities so could never happen here. As such, we need to bombard IFAB with details of what is happening in Canada with demands that strict and far reaching sanctions are imposed upon both Quebec and the Canadian footballing body. If nothing else, IFAB will issue clear guidelines as to the acceptability of wearing patkas whilst playing football.

There's no point in us UK Sikhs living in the home of football if we can't do anything positive for our international brethren.

  10. Trying to portray Muslims as the victims of 1947 shows just where your sympathies lie. Let me educate you on the Islamic mentality and a short history lesson. Muslims were the first aggressors and used violence as a political tool to achieve Pakistan.

Nowhere did I try and portray Muslims as the sole victims. What I tried to show you, but obviously failed, is how hate works both ways, i.e if you think you have a good reason for hate the other side can just as easily find a reason just as irrational to hate you and I. For example, the many hundreds of thousands of Muslims that lost their lives in doaba and malwa were innocents with nothing to do with what happened in Rawalpindi. Another example is how the pashtu / dari word for cruel-rule by a power is 'Sikha-Shahi'.....i.e the word for cruel rule is sikh rule. They (the other side) see the 100 years that we ruled over them as a period of extreme cruelty where muslims were persecuted and their places of worship defiled. Of course we don't see it that way but if some muslims wanted to behave irrationaly they could see that as justification for blind hatred towards you and me.

Like I said before there are no winners in the hate game.......only losers.

  11. You do know that Guru Arjan Dev Ji was murdered by Muslims?......Perhaps you should learn more about Sikh history

It's a mute point because I don't hold every Muslim in the world accountable for what some bad muslims did in the past but Sri Guru Arjan Dev ji was tortured to death on the orders of and in the private house of a Hindu called Chandu Bhaman and he did it for reasons of hatred of the Sikh equality of caste which the Hindu Punjabis of the time intensely disliked. Moreover, when Guru Hargobind ji personally told the Mughal emporer what Chandu Bhaman had done to his father, the Mughal (muslim) emporer ordered Chandu bhaman to be paraded through the streets of Lahore on a donkey before being put to death.

So please, do not ask me to learn more about our history. I know our history well, and I know it teaches us not to blindly and irrationaly hate.

@Legal Singh perhaps you have not heard about the plight of Sikhs in Pakistan or in Afghanistan.

Again, perhaps you have not sat down with Afghan Sikhs and personally heard things from them. They themselves say that the period of Taliban rule was the one time in the last 30 years that they could get on with their business lives in peace and safety. They say the taliban respected Sikhs and, contrary to news reports, Sikhs were not required to wear yellow badges as Hindus were. They say their problems started when the taliban fell and non-religious criminals took over the country. Those non-religious people saw Sikhs as fair game to rob and kill and the exodus of Sikhs from that country started then.

As for Pakistan, 99% of Pakistani Sikhs live in the pathan tribal mountain areas. They live there because, during the massacres in Punjab of 1947, the pathan tribes of nwfp were obliged under their code of ethics (pakhtoonwali) to regard their Sikh neighbours (many of whom are actually ethnically pathan rather than punjabi) as hamsara so were duty bound to protect them with their own lives. Since then, the Sikhs of Pakistan have actually got things alot better and easier than other minorities such as Hindus and Christians, as Sikhs enjoy a position of respect and sentiment in that nation. Irrationality is when you see the 2 or 3 brothers that have been beheaded there as far worse than the 200,000 that India has murdered, raped and hung.

Sikhs, are rational people. There is nothing rational about supporting a disgustingly racist facist organisation like the EDL.

  12. The 0.1% might have started the persecution but the over 99.9% actively took part in the genocide after Banda Singh Bahadur up to the 1780s. It was Muslim bands that used to go into the lakhi jungle to hunt down Sikhs in order to claim the rewards from the Muslim government, It was the Muslim masses that again murdered lakhs of Sikhs in 1947.

Brother, Hindus claimed their rewards from the mughals as much as the Muslims. Do you hate them with the same venom too ?

Brother, exactly 2 and a half times as many Muslims were murdered in Punjab 1947 as Sikhs. To put it simply, we'd have to go through another exact copy of the 1947 massacres and then half another one just to reach the same level of dead as the Punjabi Muslims. Were they not human too ?

Don't you see brother, there are no winners when it comes to irrational hate. If you can find a reason for hate then you have to realise that the ones you hate can just as easily find even more reasons to hate you. Hate is a losers game.

  13. @ LegalSingh If you knew anything about Islamic history then you'd reconsider who the real 'facists' are. Muslims have continually persecuted Sikhs and continue to do so. The EDL are the ones taking the abuse, their leader has been hospitalised by Muslims and there have been at least two serious terror plots against the EDL.

Those 'muslim women and children' have no problem becoming suicide bombers. Without a shadow of a doubt the biggest threat between the EDL and the Muslims are the Mohammedans.

'Muslims' haven't continously persecuted us Sikhs......The Mughals did. Even when the 0.1% of the Muslims who were part of the Mughal govt persecuted us there are plenty of examples throughout our history of when ordinary Muslims not only saved our lives but also laid down their lives in defence of our Gurus. By the same token, if 0.1% of Muslim women and children have become suicide bombers it is totally irrational to taint the other 99.9% with the same brush. Our Gurus taught us that time and again.

Frankly, the Sikh that sides with hate-filled facists is no Sikh at all. Rather, he needs his head examined.

@ LegalSingh If you knew anything about Islamic history

I politely suggest you spend less time occupying your mind with irrational fears about Islamic history and spend more time reading up on your own history and the lessons our Gurus have taught us. For example, what the 5th master Guru Arjan Dev ji taught us. He came down to doaba to get married in a muslim village called 'Mao'. The Muslims of the village showed him so much kindness he was overwhelmed. He called the Muslims of the area 'his beloved muslims' and to this day the big historic Gurdwara there is joined at the hip with a Muslim Mosque. As per Guru ji's wishes both the Gurdwara and the Mosque share a wall to show the love between the 2 communities.

You are a fool my friend if you think the ordinary rank and file EDL supporter knows the difference between old Mrs Kaur and old Mrs Khan. In that respect, you should look at the disgusting abuse Mrs Khan has to face as abuse directed at your own mother. Indeed, if the EDL supporter gets his wish and deports Mrs Khan it is your own mother who is next on his hit-list.

  14. If we would have been like muslims...we would have claimed khalistan in 1947...n khalistan di aag eni thandi ni hundi.....

Let China attack India...Again khalsa will save India.... :)

They say you can't possibly know where you're going if you don't know where you're coming from. In that respect, Gurpreet, you're walking in life blindly. Whats clear ois that you have been educated in India rather than most of us here who have been educated in the free world where facts are not hidden away from us.

For your information we did claim our own state in '47 but Nehru sold us a pack of lies in order to get us to side with India. His publicly made promises, delivered at the All India Congress of July 1946 oin Calcutta, stated among other things the promise that the Punjab would be made a semi-autonomous region in the vein of the Khalsa Raj where the Sikhs would experience the glow of freedom and run their own affairs without interference. That, and that only, is the reason that Sikhs sided with India in 1947.

But let me just get this straight, because I'm finding it hard to believe what you've just said :

Since 1947 they've cheated you, ridiculed you, dissected your homeland, hung you en masse, killed you en masse, raped you en masse, denied you justice and torn down your holiest of holy's and yet here you are still thinking you belong to them ? :stupidme:

Chinese government officials and the Chinese media have repeatedly over the last few years issued statements saying that India is so pathetic they could crush it blindfolded without even trying. I happen to think they've got a very good point and would welcome their hostility with India as a chance to progress our own Sikh cause.

  15. Sikhs should neither endorse EDL or protest again them. Sikhs should be silent witness of whats happening in UK.

That seems to go against the whole ethos of being a Sikh. The essence of a Sikh is that he stands up against oppressors. When disgusting racist facists march in the street making open threats and directing abuse towards muslim women and children the Sikh stands up tall and strong against those facists. I have no connection at all with 'Sikhs against the EDL' but I salute them for their courage and ethics.

  16. Go ask industry insiders. You probably dont have or need the connections but i do. No point argueing. Also even you must know that so many people fled Punjab under asylum in those days just to get to the UK yet their reasons where purely financial.

    Hardly rocket science mate.

No we're not arguing my friend. I'd genuinely like to know the truth. And so too, I suspect, would the British Home Office.

I would suggest then we do 3 things to show people that make abusive comments about Guru ji how we have many ways of dealing with them....and...we will deal with them :

    1) Bombard the Home Office with letters and messages informing them of the immigration fraud that has taken place and reminding them that it is their duty to prosecute those that lied during the immigration process.

    2) As hard core regularly performs in Dubai and Dubai has the harshest punishment on earth for drug possession, we should send letters to the Dubai authorities getting them ready for her next visit.

    3) Let the Sikh organisations in Punjab know that we demand they carry on with their criminal prosecution of hard core and not accept the lame half-hearted apology she made.

Drug addicts sometimes think they are invincible, particularly when they've engaged in a cetain behaviour for many years without any comeback. One day though, their whole world comes crashing down. Hard core's moment of abusing Sikhs and our Guru wil be her epiphany moment. It will become the moment she was brought back down to reality from her high and forced to explain the deeds she has done in life.

  17. . She doesnt say it was Hindus that killed him by the way either. So much bull flying around

Pray tell, if it wasn't Hindus who killed Sikhs in '84 ?

    Was it Bhuddists ?

    Was it Rastafarians ?

    Was it Chritians ?

But seriously I'm interested to know one thing from you. When the British govt and Courts looked at evidence of him being killed in the anti-Sikh genocide before granting hard core and her mum british political asylum how is it that you know he was a sharabi and died from alcohol poisining ? Did you conduct the autopsy ?

  18. Whatever your thoughts about EDL please do not take out your frustration on the Gas and Electricity giant EDF. Apparently, over the last few days, the French utility giant has been receiving hate mail from people demanding to know why they, as a public company, were out in the streets of Woolwich trying to convert people to facism. :biggrin2:
