  1. What will happen if you want to do 50 different task simultaneously at a time?

99% you will fail to do so :stupidme:

I am also a converted sikh and it took like years for me to be a sikh altogether

Many things will come in middle

Palarmux take time bro to learn about this religion because its not easy to follow sikhism.

  2. It's sad that gianis/raagis do seva in gurughar day and night, and yet they are looked down upon and disrespected by most of the sangat and treated like something on the bottom of someone's shoe by the committee members, yet it should really be the other way around. Hardly any parents in UK/USA/Canada would be happy if their kids turned around and said I want to be a giani/raagi, but instead our parents are happy to encourage us to spend our whole lives chasing high salaries and maya in endless circles as we can never be satisfied with what we have and will always want more. But then when we come to the gurdwara and open our wallets to find some change for the golak or raagis on stage, we always hunt for the lowest-value coin. A lot of us need to re-evaluate our priorities and attitudes, otherwise our religion and society cannot flourish how we want it to.

    True..!!

Even I look for minimum when I need to contribute.

So true, better i would never question anyone now for it.

You know 2 important aspects came forward in this discussion.

    1. the money is divided into 3-4 guys

    2. they need to tolerate all tha bla bla bla of committee - for this they should be paid thousands of dollars :blink2:

  3. He is so cute :D

You will find dirt here there everywhere.

On this forum, in Gurdwara/<osque etc or i must say in your own home.

Cheater, lair, hatters are there everywhere.

Very rare are those who can roar like lions otherwise you will find many dogs in a face of lions and that's a fact.

How many amritdhari bothers to do good deeds? very few

and i have seen a criminal who helped people in need.

So my dear child what you can do you can be a good sikh of Guru.

Don't look around just try to be A SIKH OF GURU that's it and insha allah ..!! your problems will be reduced.

I faced the same problem but i don't bother to walk with people but rather i chose to walk Guru's style or way :D :D

    Waheguru, Amin

  4. Lol. Yeah their family doesn't stay in the gurdwara. Besides most gurdware take a percentage from the money they get. My dads best friend from his childhood is a raagi. He has a family to support in India, with no other way of making money.

And this thing about affording raagis? What? When you have an akhand path at home the gurdwara will send some over. I think most people who do an akhand path can also afford to give a few £s to a raagi. What else can these people do? At least they are bothering to do parchaar.

I feel sorry for the dhaddis. At some gurdware they put them right at the end, so most sangat has left. These guys probably make like £20 in a day, this £20 is split between 3/4 people. If a Punjabi singer can get a few thousand pounds for attending a wedding/party, why can't a raagi get paid to sing at a wedding? Whats wrong about that?

Ya you are correct I forgot that the amount is distributed among 3/4.

  5. I do kirtan for free for sangat who call me....

FYI- raagis and sewadaars are given home food and salary to serve Gurudwara :)

Apart from this they get chadawa like people who donate to them.

Get some information some of the raagis ask for so much money that poor people can't even to think to call them at home or in local Gurdwaras :)

  6. I have a separate drive of 103 GB for granth sahib ji and all the shabad kirtan,

Its very difficult to maintain all the norms or rules that we follow actually,.

If you would try to follow everything then your need to keep latop like Guru Granth sahib ji like matha tek and worship it.

You know when other sees us doing so they will think we are mad.

Better have a hardcopy of Granth ji that will be good. But if you are keeping thou In laptop don't watch porn n all dirty things.

You can do your programing and other works. Its not a problem, atleast you are learning something rather then not doing at all.

I have translated version whenever I get time I read it.but I never minimize and keep Granth sahib ji open And I even try not to talk while reading

Better clear your brain to read Granth sahib jI coz if brain is clean and thoughts are good then you not need to worry about other things :)

  7. Yes its a bedbi if you keep Guru Granth sahib where alcohol and meat is served

I too keep Granth Sahib ji in laptop but I have whole 103 GB separate drive for Granth sahib ji but it requires some kbs of space And people call me mad when I say I dont have extra space un my laptops lol.... N yeah if you keep Granth ji in your laptop then you should actually don't need to watch porns or anything like that on your laptop... And if you are really interested to watch thou then why you need to keep Granth sahib ji and wanna do bedbi.... How awful....

N for babeeess who can't respect Granth sahibji and does bedbi....and if I see it happening so , I would certainly give them a harsh warning to not to do so...or I would carry Granth sahib ji myself to a space where it should be kept with honour....

And I and some of my friends who are very religious believes that if someone is insulting your religion continuously it is your prime duty to defend your religion. Some people say it is manmat but when you will stand with a sword in your hand to defend your religion and weaker one. People will call you manmat coz they are so weak to understand the difference between Gurmat and manmat....

That's why sikhi worship weapons coz in time of need and justice you need to use them to make others understand that you need to know that if we can be polite enough to make you understand so we can be harsh enough if you still can't understand....

  8. To have ur 5 ks for 24/7 is not just a respect for having those on your body...

Rather they serve a purpose for it. You dont know when you would require kirpan to use.

You don't know when ur evil thoughts rule you so you need to wear kachera all time.

You don't know something can strike your mind to lessen the burden of hair on your head. So keep kanga 24/7

If you are washing your hair then u that period of time tie kirpan on waist. Then after washing your hair you can it on your forehead or knot of your head. N do one thing tie on kangha with kirpan or on gatra coz kangha is difficult place on your body while bathing

For kachera its not a problem. Its a believe in Hinduism that you should wear a cloth on your body while bathing. Kachera is best to wear while bathing as per sikh and hindu ideology. And for dastar you can tie it on waist if you are washing your hair otherwise I think there is no problem to wear a dastar while bathing. :)

Try it once you will be habitual with it you would not take much time to do this.

I am so habitual of tieing kirpan on head that sometime I search for my kirpan on head while washing my kesh when I know I tied it on waist hahahaha :D

  9. Hey bro I can understand you know when you have hair it blocks your sweat or sweat gets collected as compare to clean shave skin

But for this u could certainly use perfumes and while bathing clean your body properly.

Carry one perfume everytime when you go to office or somewhere. You can easily find time to go out to washroom there u can spray perfume on your body.

There are lot many portable perfume bottles coming in market have those you can easily carry it in pocket :)

  10. Whenever there is a fight between sikhs and nonsikhs, the nonsikhs try to attack on the head I.e turban of sikhs because they know if they will atrack ttheir turban it would be the biggest insult for them. To provoke them

Offcourse in fights people do that which can hurt otherone externally and internally.

  11. Let me help u out -

This is real Story must read - Must Read - This happened 2 years back - LIke all the other sikhs, Sikh who are there in army was also celebrating Gurpurabh of Guru Arjan Dev ji.

The sikh soldiers were preparing langur and they were busy reciting Guru Mantar - Waheguru.. Waheguru.. !! Then suddenly one Hindu Officer came and ask them what were they doing?

The sikh soldiers with politeness and with their humble nature explained the officer about how and y they celebrate this day. The officer started denying that this is not possible.

he said how someone can sit on hot plate for him it was next to impossible. he even started arguing on this.... While he was Busy saying it is not possible ... Not possible .. how can someone even dare to sit on hot plates... suddenly one Sikh Soldier went and sat on the hot flames, and said look this is how our Guru sat on hot plate "WAHEGURU"

The Hindu officer started crying, He went and helped that soldier to move away from the flames and he was crying loudly, started saying sorry to that soldier, and touched his feet,

He even added that U are true sikhs coz Today also u cant bear the insult of ur Guruji

This was disclosed on TV in a live show of PTC punjabi channel by Guriqbal Singh ji

    Forgive my mistakes.

Waheguru ji ka Khalsa, Waheguru ji ki Fateh :D
