    Price?

Price added ji. Baldev Singh is on the pricier side for India but compared to international bladesmiths he is cheap. I commissioned a pesh kabz from him earlier this year which cost me  £180 (I got quoted £400 from bladesmiths in USA) I’m happy to pay his prices as mentioned above, the shastar are high quality functional combat weapons, not just for display.

I have for sale a 2 foot Siri Sahib made by Baldev Singh Nihang & Son.

It has a 20inch Sarbloh blade with a reinforced spine. Also includes a wooden sheath miyaan wrapped in leather.

The sarbloh used is of the highest quality carbon steel which has been heat treated to toughen the blade and sharpened to a wicked edge.

This is a real functional Siri Sahib, not just a display piece.

Please contact me for more pictures/ videos.

I have for sale reluctantly, 2 Pesh Kabz I had custom made by Baldev Singh Nihang Shastar.

The fit and finish is of a much higher quality as a result. They both have a very sharp blade, capable of cutting paper. The top edge is also sharpened and they are made from heat treated sarbloh. To all those that know about shastar, it's the heat treatment of iron which separates the good shastar from the bad.

The Myans are made from wood covered in a very high quality leather which I opted specifically for - it will not fade or leak dye thus adding to the cost.

I also requested special wood be used for the handle scales. It's called African Blackwood, its naturally very hard and black in colour. The natural grains can be seen running through each piece which looks beautiful.

Please message me if you want more pictures sent via email.

  4. How is it? I bought Victoriaknox one but never used it as it's not really my style.

I'm glad you haven't had to use it, someone will end up in hospital or prison, lol.

It's very well made, I've sharpened it with a ceramic stone so it's hair popping sharp. I'm selling this kirpan in order to fund a sword purchase.

I understand your point, however when parents are looking for a engagement for their children a match should be made based on the characteristics of their child, not the characteristic of their caste. The main issue which is unfortunately ignored by our naive outlook is we simply ignore gurmat,

If we all followed gurmat and blindly follow our caste, there would be more common characteristics between sikhs than differences. So it basically goes back to us believing in caste and not gurmat.

    WJKK WJKF

Sure character of child is more important then caste, but unfortunately caste still plays a part in traits of both the child and his / her family.

If everyone followed gurmat and were gurmukh there would be no caste or caste traits, but this is not reality at present.
