The Mars 2020 Mission is by MarsONE, and not by NASA.

It's definitely a great achievement for not only her, but one for our community as well.

Yes proud moment for the community hopefully she will get selected to go if not at least she inspires other Sikhs to aim high.

I need to read up more on MarsONE. Elon musk is also planning some sort of mars mission is that his company i wonder.

No, the suicide mission is the Mars 2020 Mission. This is the two-way Mission, Mars 2030 Mission.

There's a mission to mars on 2020? wow thats pretty close which company it doing it doubt it would be nasa.

And great achievement by the sister so far so congrats to her. Nasa astronauts have to go through a very tough and high criteria process to get selected.

And that is why you call yourself a 'superkaur' because this gives you the right to insult the Guru Granth by saying IT is not waheguru? You need to shame 'jatt sikhs' because when you go to the Guru Granth Sahib you learn to insult and shame others for being born in the families and castes they have been born in under the Guru's Hukam? Your distant relatives daughters must have been pure slags to run off like this to bring shame on their mothers and fathers. CHEAP SLUTS. Only sluts run off not decent girls.

Sri Guru granth sahib Ji is waheguru? Are you feeling ok?

Where did you get this new revealation? Guru gobind Singh ji never said this... nor did any of the Guru's they didnt say adi granth is Waheguru we must worship the saroop. Guru gobind singh ji forbade people to call him God and said those who did would be cursed. So when he transfered the Guruship to SGGS Ji he transfered only the Guruship not the God status you seem to have mistakenly believed in.

So all these years you been worshipping literally worshipping SGGS Ji as an idol as God? like hindus do with their idols like the dehra premis worship their cult leaders as God.

Oh dear no wonder your so lost.... people like you need alot of help understanding Sikhi if your that lost

I think the greatest lessons to be learnt from the Khalistan movement are that we are firstly an extremely divided community, secondly an incompetent one, and finally that the movement is worthless in the present-day.

Expanding on my first point, Sikhs don't know who they are! Sikhs face the biggest identity crisis in the subcontinent, even more so than Indian/Pakistani converted Muslims. How so? Well although Indian/Pakistani Muslims may claim they are descended from Arabs/Persians/Afghans, they are firm and sure on one thing, and that is that they're Muslim. Sikhs don't know what they are. Heck, my own extended family doesn't know what we are. They wear turbans, but celebrate Karva Chauth. They acknowledge the teachings of Guru Nanak, but accept that they are a branch of Hinduism. Until Sikhs don't align themselves with each other, no Sikh sovereignty related movement will flourish or go through. KPS Gill, Kuldip S Brar are examples of the confused Sikhs.

My second point is one of extreme relevance. I think post 1947, Sikhs have become extremely incompetent. This is quite evident in the Khalistan movement. The martyrs were extremely motivated individuals, but lacked any communal support. There were no wealthy and powerful Sikhs to fund them, or any famous Sikh media personalities to rationalize and voice the Khalistani cause. This could be partly due to that fact that Sikhs are divided amongst each other, but I think its more likely that we didn't have any notable members in our community at that time, apart a from the odd one out, and still don't. We have no Sikh in academia, the arts and sciences, business, medicine.

My last point follows my second point, the Khalistani seperatist movement, considering the current incompetent state our community is in, is worthless and should not be followed, promoted, or continued on with for the meantime. The problem with us, or perhaps its a quality of ours, is that we have always fought against the system, be it the Mughals, British and now the Indian gov't. Our community needs a breather. We need to rejuvenate, and come back stronger. I see so many of our youth waste their energy on the Khalistan movement, that I wonder had they done so much for their own personal development, perhaps they could have progressed further. We as a community are in desperate need of redirection, and I think that the direction has already been laid down for us, and that is the Jewish people. If you look at the Jewish diaspora, although it is half of our population, they command exceptionally far more power than our community, far more than the stalwart Christians, Hindus, and Muslims. They are in positions, and in roles in the US that not have only secured the socioeconomic status of American Jews, but has allowed them to make their voice heard. We need to emulate the accomplishments of the Jewish people, in fact apart from religious doctrine, we are not too different from them, we have been similarly persecuted as they are, and we've survived and that's what makes me hopeful that we can ultimately secure victory. We need to bring our arms down, and reconnect with Sikhi. Very few people are following the Sikhi enclosed within the Adi Granth. I saw Jugraj Singh as someone who was helping people to reconnect to Sikhi and its spiritual side, its unfortunate he left us so early. Getting back to my point though, is that we need more educated Sikhs, more Sikhs in power, not only in India (which I doubt ever happens, expect for puppets like Manmohan), but around the world that will allow our voices to be heard on the global stage. I see many Punjabi Sikh students immigrating to Canada, but most of them enroll into community colleges that give out degress that hold no merit. I honestly think Sikhs need to aggressively expand out of India, and settle in Western society where they can flourish akin to the Jews, however coming to community colleges won't help. I rarely see these students attend a top Canadian/American uni, very rare if none at all. Even Canadian/American born Hindus are far more educated than their Sikh counterparts, and this is worrisome for our community. We need Sikhs to branch out and attain power, and unfortunately I'm not wise enough to know how this will happen, but I do know this needs to happen. Sikh entrepreneurs, professors, inventors, celebrities, artists, physicians, lawyers, engineers will allow for more global exposure. Also, we need to be flexible. I often see us condemn 3HO Sikhs, or Nanakpanthis, however we shouldn't be doing that. We need to greet them with respect and love in order for their ways to be "corrected", and not just simply write them off. We also need to have more children, and I know many Sikhs are against this, but c'mon people, our numbers are dwindling. And for those that say the world population is already too much, well adopt children and raise them as Sikh. We need to increase our numbers by having more children, marrying out and bringing spouses into the Sikh fold through reason, and raising adopted Sikh children. Numbers go a long way in helping a movement be established.

I hope I have not offended anyone with my perspective on this.

Great points paji, but one small suggestion please break up your points in short paragraphs other wise its hard to read in a huge block

Also to add to your points I would say Khalistan movement should never be abandoned but rather it shouldnt be our main focus. Our main focus should be able improving and helping each other within the Sikh kaum and help non-sikhs who wish to embrace Sikhi feel welcome.

Too many times I have heard of punjabi mothers not letting their sons marry muslim girls but if you look at muslim households they tell their sons if they found a non-muslim girl to make her convert and she would be welcome in the family. Similarly Sikhs need to have this approach as long as the hindu, muslim or christian girl is ready to learn and convert to Sikhi she will be welcome with open arms. This is what the approach used to be by pure Sikh famililes they would welcome hindu daughter in-laws into the family once she had converted but nowdays we accept hindu and christian son/daughter in laws within requiring them to convert and seeing our population decrease because of this.

The Khalistan movement was not ready for fruition, the Indian establishment forced the Sikhs into an armed conflict that they did not want nor was prepared for indira gandhi's congess party wanted to paint Sikhs as anti-nationals need to create the environment to attack and genocide them and she used all the tricks in the book to do to the Sikhs what hitler did to jews in nazi germany and even worse too.

Sant bhindranwale didnt want Khalistan he wanted fair treatment for Sikhs as equal citizens and a Khalsa raj which is freedom for the khalsa to live life without hindrance of non-Sikh powers in their religious affairs. He did say though he wouldnt reject the offer of Khalistan if the indian govt pushed Sikhs for separation or if harmandir sahib was attacked. Pre-operation blue star It was Babber khalsa, Dal khalsa other groups that wanted Khalistan actively and they did not have the numbers nor the allies nor the logistics to wage an armed campaign against the overwhelming military power of the Indian Union. They could have done devastating suicide military attacks on Indian political centres of power and army barracks if they were serious about wanting to take on Indian state but they mostly fought a self defense war.

We as a Sikh kaum need to recognise we do need our own Sikh nation state because events of 1980s and 90s shows what happens to minorities if they don't have any political or national power. The way we go about for Khalistan needs alot of analysis of past events, recognise how devilish clever our evil enemy was as painting Sikhs as terrorists while they were the ones terrorisng punjab especially using false flag events by using "the third agency" shiv sena, alam sena, virk sena and other hindu terrorist indian groups dressed up as sikhs to cause violence for the army to come in.

When some say Sikhs should all be Khalsa and wear the 5 kakkars that is how we will get khalistan and khalsa raj I would say no dont be so silly it would take hundreds of years for that to happen besides the trend for youngsters these days is not to keep kesh. We need to remember the enemy dressed up as khalsa's they grew long hair they put on dastars they carrys the 5k's and they attacked Sikhs and hindus of punjab to ruin the image and high moral status of Separatist Sikhs and amritdhari Sikhs.

We need variety in our kaum we need to accept the fact that sahejdhari Sikhs are just as valid as Sikhs as baptised Khalsa amrithdari Sikhs are. Only our sahedjhari Sikh monay brothers were able to infiltrate congress terrorist party ranks and kill the murderous leaders who caused sikh genocide of new delhi like arjun das and bhagat lal they also killed general vadiya and they attempted to kill rajiv gandhi a few times. The amritdhari Sikhs would have been spotted a mile away and shot dead if they tried it on.

Only once we have realised and analyised, and processed all that went on and understand all this can we put our kaum on an upward path.

  5. She doesnt seem like a typical hindu girl to be honest more like a congress or shiv sena supporter.

Jammu and punjab units of Shiv sena and congress party have a close relationship. Someone suggested to me that shiv sena was set up by the congress party officals back in the days as a rival to BJP party as they wanted the undermine BJP and gain hindu votes.

  6. Often Shiv sena in punjab are dismissed as rats as clowns as fools who run away from brave Sikh warriors.
However what our Sikh youths dont know is that the people who belonged to those organisations at the time
had their role in the genocide and mass murder of Sikhs in 1980s/90s how they were
part of the same false flag Indian state terrorist machinery that operated black cats, alam sena, virk sena, etc

Below a short extract from " Truth About Punjab, SGPC White Paper,  Gurdarshan Singh Dhillon "

    ---------------------------

Siege of the Sikhs : State Terrorism in Punjab

Logic of KPS Gill was that the police were dealing with people who did not believe in any laws and so unless the police too was lawless it could not really fight them,"^ Gill justified the policy of creating under cover squads. He said, "The security forces in Punjab can do nothing without special spotter's parties and there is no question of doing away with them."^ He was reported to have prepared his 'elimination lists', with instructions from the I.B. When a team of the Punjab Human Rights Organisation (PHRO) who had a long interview with Sumedh Singh Saini, Senior Suprintendent of Police, Bhatinda, asked him to comment on the armed vigilante groups created in many districts of Punjab, he too is reported to have said, "What was wrong if they were organised to assist the state to neutralize terrorists?'"

Besides vigilante squads, there were other squads also who were responsible for deadly intrigues and murders. In a revealing letter written to the Lok Sabha Speaker Rabi Ray, Simranjit Singh Mann, while submitting his resignation from Indian Parliament, drew attention to the other hit squads called the "Black Cats"and "Indian Lions", who were operating in the State in a clandestine manner and were responsible for murdering and pillaging."

Mann complained that three members of the executive of his party, including Jagdev Singh Khudian MJ*. were done to death by the "Indian Lions" outfit.^ Mann regretted that even though the Justice Harbans Singh Rai Commssion appointed by the government had indicted the Punjab DGP, K.P.S. Gill, in connection with the Khudian murder, yet no action was taken against him.' '^ ' "The state is actively involved in killing and murdering Sikh leaders and I have been threatened by the "Indian Lions" which has several other names - 'Vaidya Commando Force" (VCF) and "Lala Jagat Narain Tiger Force".' said Mann. The Tribune reported the formation of a secret militant organisation called the "Indian National Army" which recruited commandos to fight terrorists m Punjab. The report said, "Mr. Dayal Singh Chief General of the army said to-day that commandos were drawn from the Army, the BSF, the CRPF and the Punjab Police.

He also introduced a commando to newsmen, who, he claimed belonged to the BSF."' All India Hindu Shiv Sena also trained its own commandos to carry out clandestine activities. 'Current' weekly in its issue dated August 5-11, 1987, brought to light a story which described a camp "somewhere in Amritsar district", where the AH India Hindu Shiv Sena was training about 1,000 of its young followers in the use of arms and commando tactics. The boys let their hair and beards grow and assumed the appearance of Sikh youth. The Sena president Surender Kumar BUla managed the camp and told the reporter that the idea was that these young men would act as agent provocateurs, attack the Sikhs and thereby create an aversion among Sikhs for the militants.

A group photograph of Surender Billa and his fake Sikhs was also shown in the Weekly. There were reports of nine similar camps located all over Punjab. It is obvious that these camps could not have operated without the patronage of those in high places. These commandos indulged in looting and extortion's. According to a Tribune report (August 13, 1991), "instances of miscreants, some belonging to the Hindu Suraksha Samiti, having written letters in the name of the Dashmesh Regiment demanding ransom from members of the minority community have come to light in Bhatinda district recently. In police records Surender Kumar BiUa was shown as a man' wanted by the police but actually the government made no effort to nab him.

He and his cohorts were allowed to go ahead with their mischievous plans. 'Frontline' reported (14-27 May, 1988) that 'in Punjab it is an accepted view that at least some of the death squads have been unleashed by the government.' This was a comment on a story reported by a freelance journalist that RAW was using imported AK 47s and RPG - 7 anti - tank rocket-propelled grenades in the Punjab in order to justify the 59th amendment to the Constitution, by which government can impose an emergency on the state and suspend the right to life.' Economic and Political Weekly' in a news report of April, 16, 1988, had asked 'Are the killings in Punjab the handiwork of the extremists ?' The report observed that 'strategic' killings by officially planned agent provocateurs may help the government to precipitate further authoritarian control by assuming more military powers.' The intention was to create an atmosphere of anarchy and violence so that, out of frustration, the people absolve the state for its direct use of violence and other means of repression. Such activities added an ominously new dimension to the tragic scenario and led to an atmosphere of terror and insecurity. Chandan Mitra observed, "The police under-cover operations have added to the confiscation over genuine and fake militancy."^

The Washington Post reported that the Indian security forces conducted a highly realistic mock hijacking of an airliner that fooled many people into thinking that it was a genuine terrorist action by Sikh militants. The purported hijackers issued a number of demands in the name of a Sikh extremist group. The exercise ended peacefully at an airport in West Central India but not without spreading alarm throughout the country.^ Such obnoxious tactics were used to blame and defame the Sikh community, to stoke up communal fires and to bring about reprisals in order to divot attention fix)m the real issue

  7. Apart from the politics of money and patronage of bolly celebs and politicians of ram rahim.

We must ask ourselves what kinda parchar he was giving that drew large crowds? No doubt he is a outlandish charismatic clownish figure and an entertaining one at that to the poorer Indians. The public there these days love that, he was successfully able to tap into that market and gain a large following through Tv show appearances, movies and "rock concerts".

If we look at our parchariks of today what message of hope do they give? Are they charasmatic? Are they entertaining? The audience of today is not the same even a decade ago. Peoples attention span is decreasing with the increasing use of smart phones and social media people want new things and entertaining things to watch. They do not have the capacity and patience to listen to some random boring baba/sant giving lectures of the past that they could easily watch on youtube or doesnt make them feel good.

There needs to be a wholesale analysis of what has gone on for so many problems to be occurring. And it starts as always at the top ... the SGPC...... if Sikhs dont reform or remove this entity we will see Sikhi confined as a minority faith within punjab itself or even dying out and christian or muslim or new age dehra missionaries will tear Indian punjab apart in coming few years by their own personal conflict's with each other.

  8. The real true and ugly evil face of shiv sena and other hindu nationalists online is coming out under the BJP Modi government ...for years they laid dormant until now. Anti-sikh hindu extremists from various hindu outfits have been feeding their followers lies against Sikhs since 1950s ever since punjabi suba movement started for autonomy for Sikh northern areas as was promised by congress.

And they fed their very low intelligence hindu population more lies about Sikhs killing hindus when it was hindu brahmins dressed up as Sikhs aided and facilitated by the RAW who went around killing both sikhs and politicians and low caste hindu laborers.

These hindu extremists told lies that Sant bhindranwale was raping women in darbar sahib when in actual fact he gave his congregation orders not to spare anyone who tries to rape women and he even helped rescued many hindu women from gangsters. Nowadays they tell lies these days that sant bhindranwale had ordered the killing of 30,000 hindus and now its 40,000? next year they will say 50,000. When in reality police and official records show most of those killed before operation blue star was Sikhs and only a few dozen hindus mostly from clashes with police or with Sikhs during protests and riots.

Over 1000 Sikhs murdered during operation blue star using tanks and heavy weaponary the type to use against a national enemy, akal takht destroyed countless historical artifacts looted and destroyed. Then came the delhi riots over 5,000 murdered in horrific way stabbing, raping and burning alive in just 3 days of state violence. More than 1,000 Sikhs murdered per day....

The fact is 50,000 Sikh youths from punjab were disappeared basically murdered by the indian state during 90s so called period of militancy.

India to this day did not allow amnesty international to investigate nor did it own up to its own past in its killings of all those innocent Sikhs.and these evil rats from congress party and hindu outfits do not regret their crimes.

They think the murders and loss of innocent sikh life is justified because they been fed lies by a very powerful propaganda machine

The Akali Dal, the SGPC and the Sant Samaj should be held responsible for this entire debacle. Their pro-Jatt sympathies have brought about this backlash from the lower Caste communities.

Not just them but the ones that fund the akali dal and SGPC sant samaj is the indian establishment which encompasses all political parties and regional ethnic religious centres of powers they have influence on all of it. Without flow of indian money SGPC / akali dal sant samaj cant run... who creates the money? who supplies it? banks via the indian government stop the flow and you control these orgs and the individuals in them and thus thats how they enslaved the Sikhs of punjab by control and flow of money.

The alleged panthic Sikh orgs can create their own currency and refuse to use the rupee as a protest to show their independence free from foreign rule over the religious and political affairs but they havent therefore showing they are hostage to the flow of money and funds from indian establishment.

without control over money the "higher caste" jatts and others cant help other downtrodden communities who may need help like the poor dalit lower castes who want to be Sikhs to have equality but are forced to convert to other faiths because they get a better economic or employment deal in other paths.

Those in power in indian establishment blame "high caste" jatt Sikhs for treating "lower" dalit / chamar Sikhs badly yet its they the brahmins who are the ones who have the money controls and influence to ensure their agenda happens. If you want to leave india to travel aboard you have to go to mr sharma who decides you can go or not. If you need funding from central government mr sharma decides if you get money to punjab or not.

Only solution is sovereignty or autonomy so Sikhs can run their affairs according to Sikh ideology to stop castism and treat everyone fairly and equally regards to jaath paath.

Why would anyone read Pakistani media ?

they almost always have bias. If you read about the 1947 Punjab riots you will see Pakistani authors blame Sikhs, all despite the fact Hindu/ Muslim leaders were the ones making nonsense statements.

Someone forwarded me the link they read it on google news and it came up.

If pakistani muslims are writing articles called this pedo rapist hinduvta baba as a "sikh guru" they aint doing it out of ignorance they doing it out of anti-sikh agenda and hate for non-muslim agenda. This kinda material will help Sikhs who often praise pakistan against india to wake up that pakistan has alot of dogs inside it that are not our friends neither pakistani establishment nor india establishment are our friends because they are non-sikh majority populations run by those who hate our kaum simply for existing. The average common man in both nations usually has no problem with us but their rulers their politicans and establishment figures dont want to lose their power so often try to belittle or disenfranchise minority communities.

Well... i aint no hindu. I was asking people how i should quit cuz i didnt know how to and my friend said that i should if i cant handle it.

Sikhi is not hard it is simple it is common sense. Why would anyone say Sikhi is hard? Sikhi is about glorfying God, doing good for humanity, working hard and sharing with others.

There is no requirement you to keep hair that is part of the Khalsa bana if you want to be a Khalsa then you take amrit and keep your kesh. If you dont wonna be a khalsa then dont, its free will. Sikhi is about free choice within the limits of what Guru Ji has advised and taught.

If you still have problem keep to simple basic easy rules then your a troll a fake Sikh who doesnt deserve any attention any more.

  12. 2 hours ago, OneBeing said:

Keep going. Call me all the names you want.

Telling us your going to quit Sikhi, is your own personal choice no one is forcing you to be a Sikh or telling you to quit. No need to tell anyone thats your own preference this is why I called you out as troll as most anti-sikh trolls operate in your manor.

In all the years of reading and being on Sikh forums I have never come across a Sikh saying they gonna quit Sikhi except fake Sikh trolls who were hindu punjabis, atheists or other faiths just trying to make a joke on Sikh forums.

What anti sikh joke posts? Its fine, i dont care about your opinion anyway. If you dont like me, then you dont like me. It is what it is.

Your over emotional posts your complete nonsense of topics. Either your a young kid or a troll and I dont think your a really young kid.

You saying you quit sikhi is icing of the cake when you got caught out the joke was over.

Its been weeks and i cant find any strength do paath any more. I've literally been in bed all day on my phone watching movies etc and not doing anything spirutual. I became so lazy. I even did ardas so many times to give me strength to stay on the path of sikhi and not fall off.

I dont know what happened. All of a sudden i lost all motivation. At school i never ate anything because I wanted to find some sort of motivation to make me do my paath again. I use to find a way to force my self to do it. Pain etc, but not even that worked. Obviously you need love and stuff and some kind of connection with Gurbani to be able to do this.

Maybe its cuz of my past life or something. Thats why im not blessed to be able to do these kind of things. I know so much about the spiritual side of sikhi, but find it so hard to do it and apply it to my life anymore.

I use to do satnam waheguru jaap and mool mantar everwhere i went. Walking to school, at break, when ever i had free time etc. I did japji sahib all the time in my mind when i was at school because of my panic attacks etc.

I know im a bad person and have a HUGE EGO (haumai). I dont know how to lose my lazyness. What do I do?? I never had any sikh friends in my life so i got no one to give advice or anything. I've never met any practicing sikh my age in my life who can relate and none of my family or anything practice it even though they are amritdhari and they know nothing about sikhi, they can't even name all the gurus.

I dont know what to do. Should i just leave spirituality and sikhi? No one else around me is doing it and when i talk about these kind of things around other people, i get laughed at and they say "what the hell are you talking about, stop speaking this nonesense".

Become a Sikh not a troll on here

  16. Islamo-fascist article writer basically calls the rapist ram rahim of dehra sacha sauda as a  "sikh guru". When if the muslim idiiot writer had a brain he would have realised Sikhs have been fighting these dehra cultists for more than a decade now for blasphemy and beadhi against Sikhi and our SGGS Ji.
