  1. Recently there was an issue where there were puctures on instagram of UK Nihang Singhs wearing shoes while holding Nishan Sahibs. And some people also said it isnt maryada to wear blue kasheras as well , and that got me confused

Wearing shoes is understandable in UK as you need to be tyar bar tyar in case it kicks off.

The neela kashera was worn over a white one. its simple really. black isnt camouflage at night as you can still see a silhouette but neela completely blends you into the darkness.

The Nihang Singhs were famous for the midnight ambushes and raids. it wouldnt be much of an ambush if you can see a load of white kachereh walking towards you.

  2. Having certain colours being acceptable for Khalsa and to refrain from others is like having certain days and times approved for prayer or good fortune, its a Brahmin thought and not Gurmat.

nothing to do with bhaman reet.

The Khalsa is distinguishable by uniform and by colour.

to make it easier to understand, think about why 2 teams playing football wear different colours.

What about Bhai Daya Singhs rehitnama? do you believe it to be made up because we are told to go hunting? is this antigurmat in your view?

Also the translation of the pangti you quoted from Asa Di Vaar is wrong. there is nothing to mention everyone followed the way of the turks and pathans. it says everyone wore blue clothing and robes and the turks and pathans attained power.

According to Ithihaas, did Akali Guru Nanak Dev Ji wear Neela bana in Mecca?

Can you please explain the contradiction in Bhai Nand Lal Rehitnama?

  3. Please please please, red is nothing more than just a colour. The Gurbani about the lady wearing red and Guru Ji advising her to get rid of the red, put yourselves in that time, wearing red for females was a 'dress up' colour.

If Guru Granth Sahib Ji clearly tells us God is within all colours and then within none, how can we Sikhs follow a Rehat written by a man and not our Guru. I know the history behind Bhai Nand Lal Ji but we need to start thinking and questioning. If whatever the rehatnama contradicts what the Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaj says, dispose of it because I know that our Gurus could not say one thing in one place and then go against it or contradict it in another passage.

There is no colour restriction in Sikhi and nor do certain colours mean anything. If people believe wearing red makes one and think of a sin then maybe its for that individual to practice this upon themselves because the colour red wont mean the same for everyone.

You punjabis are dumb. Red was worn by Bandai Sikhs and ascetics, Green was worn by the mughal army. We are told to wear blue garments by Pyara Bhai Daya Singh, the first of the panj pyare and we are told in rehat not to wear red or green. Who are you compared to Pyara Bhai Daya Singh?

Also in Karninama by Akali Guru Nanak Dev Ji it states that the Khalsa will wear blue.

Drop your ego. All you punjabis that wanna wear your red or green patiala shahi paghs to match your shirts and ties go ahead, but don't try and justify it with your manmat when its stated in maryada and you haven't bothered to look into it.

  4. whole point of our beautiful spiritual path called Sikhi is to look beyond mind created petty hate (on this forum I have seen venom against radha swamis/missionaries/3ho etc)

Remember how Guru Amardas treated Datu when he kicked guru sahib ? Or how Guru Tegh Bahadur reacted to DhirMal's followers making an attempt on his life ?

Lets also not forget Akali Guru Gobind Singh Jis reaction to the masands who were stealing from the gurdwara and spreading pakhandi teachings.

Your path of acceptance will only lead to skewed and corrupt education.

  5. Vaheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Vaheguru Ji Ki Fateh, can anyone explain to me why the idea of Kirpan Di Amrit started? It seems like manmat since Guru Sahib has only ever made 1 Amrit which was previously Charan Amrit and now Khandi Di Pahul?

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh

Kirpan Amrit is given to bibiya by Budha Dal. You're better off asking real nihangs from Dal or Hazur Sahib.

  6. you can wear any colour ! If Gurbani tells as that Vaheguru is in all colours and none, then how can a man made rule be made that Khalsa can only wear certain colours?

Its manmat to say you can wear any colour, especially if its your own thought and you havent reseached to make sure your claims are valid.

Neela was and is the colour of the Khalsa. As mentioned in Bhai Daya Singh Rehitnama (First of the Panj Pyare) and in Salok Dumalle Da.

there are tons of historical references to Neela

  7. I will be honest, I do not know the meaning of this thing; (not something I've studied in great detail), but I'm not sure most people know the meaning either and just do it out of a blind-ritual.

its definitely out of blind ritual but im trying to find the root of this ritual. its harmless really but I would still like to find out the reason behind it.

I've never seen rang being thrown on wedding cards or at a kurmai, whether at the Gurdwara or at a venue/house.

Did u see it in India?

Ive seen it on pretty much every wedding card ever. its just like orange colouring in water flicked on the cards and bags of sugar.

Its not done at the Gurdwara but at the venue or house. On the kurmai before the boys side go home, the girls side flick the same orange coloured water on the boys side. They probably do it in India as well although ive never been to a wedding in India.

  8. Vaheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Vaheguru Ji Ki Fateh, it has no meaning at all. It's a cultural thing, not a Sikh thing.

Do you know the meaning/history behind why its thrown/flicked culturally?

it obviously does have a meaning, just not a meaning that's Sikhi related.

  9. Waheguru ji ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh

Does anyone know the real history or relevance of throwing rangh on wedding cards/bags of sugar or on the boys side after a kurmai?

Any reference to history would be helpful

    Thanks

    Gurdial Singh

  10. Lets start by thanking the MOD or Admin that blocked me from this forum. This forum is, essentially, an immoral cesspit populated by drug-enthusiasts, simran head-shakers and body poppers and moderated by a bunch a faceless morons. I thank these faceless morons because they've done my spriritual well-being a world of good by keeping me away from such useless people.

Secondly, as I traditionally see things that other people do not see, may I draw all your attention to yesterday's celebratory scenes from Leicester City Football Club which was the main headline news throughout the entire world (except America of course (and by default Canada which doesn't have an identity of it's own). While the world's media was showing the families and loved ones of the Leicester players and officials on the pitch celebrating, I'm guessing I'm the only one that noticed that 3 (including the Lineker bro) of the stars on show were either married or dating a Sikh girl. Indeed, the french Arab Riyaz Mahrez even has a daughter with his Sikh wife, Rita Johal. Lets just be glad the muslim one direction star Zain Malik wasn't there as well because he would have made it 4 (his girlfriend is another Sikh girl: neelam gill).

Anyway, it'll be interesting to see who will pick up the mantle of being able to see outside the box now that I'm gone. But, regarding the 'Sikh' WAGs.....go ahead and discuss:

You will not be missed. You obviously have no life beyond internet forums and are by no means a Soorma (unless you're behind a computer) otherwise you would confront the acts you don't agree with like a man. I for one am glad to see that your sissy tantrums and childish insults will disappear. :biggrin2:

  11. Ummm.......you have to wonder about a man that is awake at 01:14 hrs on Saturday night /Sunday morning with nothing on his mind but marijuana. :nono:

Calling it 'shaheedi degh' is just an attempt to give drugs a sense of respectability among those sikhs who are inclined towards narcotic substances. i.e..bani is not good enough for them......simran is not good enough for them.....sangat is not good enough for them. They need drugs in order to reach a stage that Gurbani on its own can take other Sikhs.

It grows wild all over Punjab. You'll find it in other people's fields if not your own. It (bhang), unlike the cannbis smoked all the world, is made from the male plant and is made from the leaves and flowers of the plant. As it grows wild in the fields there the general rule among these natural plants is that the shorter the plant the higher the thc levels....i.e the taller plants will have lower thc.

Thats a clever ploy I've noticed among 'Sikhs' who are attracted by drugs. Even though it is Hindus who have been 'religiously' making and drinking bhang for thousands of years and 99.9% of the people that drink bhang in order to pretend to be on a higher spiritual level and also those thatdrink it to lose inhibitions and molest each other during, for example, holi are Hindu......The Sikh that has junkie inclinations and capabilities will ignore the 99.9% reality and simply mention the 0.1% (nihungs) in order to give the impression that it is a 'Sikh' thing with a rightfull place in Sikhi.

Jagsaw 'singh' your just a nindak. i feel sorry for you being constantly butthurt by the nihang singhs carrying out traditions that are centuries old. your probably one of the pro vegan, tree hugging NKJ rent boys that just bashed nihangs all day because of his own inadequacy. Ive been reading comments off this site for a while and it always seems to be you commenting on Nihang Singhs in a negative light when in actual fact without them you wouldnt exist. The Akali Nihangs including Akali Nihang Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj follow maryada of degh and jhatka and without them doing so, you wouldnt be able to spout the utter <banned word filter activated> that you do day in and day out. By the way 'gulaal' is thrown on Holi to replicate blood as tradition which Guru Gobind Singh Ji started.

Since you feel sorry for the goats, please go to Sachkhand Sri Hazoor Sahib and try and stop the tradition. Take the cannabis off a nihang singh just as hes about to do ragra and see what happens to you. Seems to be a lot of talking <banned word filter activated> on your part and not much action. Same <banned word filter activated> from a fruity manmat following keyboard warrior. :giggle:

  12. Beautiful Anand Karaj, the only thing bothering me is our Sri Guru ji's photos on the ground..!

You do realise that are not photos of our Gurus? They are just artist depictions so no beadbi or lack of satkaar is taking place. They shouldn't even have the paintings there
