  1. How dare you ask such a silly question! They're all totally behind her. They don't want her to ruin her life by being stuck in a loveless, arranged marriage to someone of her cultural and religious background, because, as we all know, love marriages are totally not built on physical attraction, and the love between the two partners in such marriages never fades or wanes at all resulting in no divorces ever. It's a universal truth. And you're an extremist... a God-forsaken terrorist for attacking the beautiful couple on their special, magical day.

    /sarcasm

Because arranged marriages between two from the same community are so succesful?

None the less, Im glad this was stopped. If you want to marry outside your religion, go get a court marriage. Hate these liberals trying to enforce their views on religios institutions.

  2. Satkar committee have done well in this case and should be commended. But their other activities are questionable, only last week I saw a video of them beating up an elderly gyani with a baton after making him lie down on the floor. Shameful behaviour beating old and poor people.

That man wasn't eldery, and he was given 2 previous warnings to stop his activities.

But this is great news, kid must feel great knowing at least someone out there is looking out for sikh. Should keep an eye on these kids, after being humilated they may seek revenge.

  3. The drug dealing punjabis in Surrey and Vancouver are your typical fresh off the boat from India uneducated retards. They have no education or skills.

No ethics or morals they just want to get rich quick.

Or the wannabe "gangsters" youth in Canada that talk and act like they are Jamaican yardies. This has been a problem is Surrey for years Google Bindy Johal, Bal Buttar etc...

Are you from BC or just making up what you hear? As someone born and raised here, I've met a handful of guys who talk like they're black, and they're usually not well accepted. There wasnt a tiny spec of "black" in Johal or Buttar. Also, most of these dealers are not "fresh off the boat," very few are.

alot of u dont really have a clue. These punjabi guys in surrey are not living in poverty and most likely never had they are just a bunch of rich boys who want to act like a gangster outside of BC they are a joke... They are throwing there lives away for nothing they are conserided the low in the criminal world anyways so all I can say is that they are a bunch of wannabes that won't be able to match up with REAL gangs in canada this why surrey is there only stronghold none of them even live or have lived in places like whalley which is surreys poverty area. From what I've read though the community in surrey is fixing up newer gangs are moving in like the somalis n afghans and this is what started this whole gang war a gang of punjabis vs a somali one

You've heard incorrect lol. Nor are they considered low in general, but obviously these 18-19 year old kids will be low, I don't know many 18 year old mob bosses. Like many others in here, you have no clue what you're talking about. Which ghetto are you from btw? I'm willing to bet a lot of the kids involved are tougher than most of the guys hiding behind a screen on here, after having grown up with them.

Too many people here going off on "what I heard."

  4. I'd suggest looking at his history before even saying "he seems like a good man", he lost control over the EDL and allowed extreme right wing factions into it and did nothing about it while saying that he was only against extremest "Islamics", he claimed he had nothing against Sikhs but on more than one rally they have clashed with Sikhs and he has made no attempt to apologize, he and everything he stands for goes against everything that Sikhi stands for and before anyone say's anything different, i've had first hand experience of being chased by his goons for doing nothing more than walking in the city centre while they were having a rally, just because the dude is now wearing a suit doesn't mean you should trust him.

For the record, I am not from the UK, so I am not extremely familiar with the politics there. But, I have not heard of Sikh-Edl clashes ever up until now, where did these clashes take place? I've only seen him praising Sikhs, I'd call his leadership skills into question regarding members of organization opposing Sikhs, but wouldn't say he is a bad person himself. I've got zero problem with someone who opposes Islamic extremism and doesn't throw Sikhs in the same pile.

  5. From what I have seen, it sure does seem like a muslim problem, at least in the UK. Tommy Robinson seems like a good man to me, he seems to support Sikhs too, but instead most Sikhs want to chose sides with the enemy over him.

  6. Need to be cleverer than that. Can't be going all ISIS on these degenerates even if we think they deserve it. Use head not heart. Punishment should be in proportion to the crime committed. Above all, the whole world doesn't need to see it on YouTube. That's a complete nonsense, and no, it doesn't scare people even though we may think it might. If anything, it emboldens others to escalate matters if they think they can get a rise out of us. Unfortunately, subtlety and subterfuge have never been our strong points.

My thinking was that these people may act up because they know there will be little to no consequences, the authorities sure won't do much. But if vigilante justice occured, may send a message to other guys. In that part of the world, western morals are useless.

  7. Better question is, where were the kids parents?? Bullies will sadly, always exist.

Parents cant supervise their kids 24/7, plus kids in the villages run around alone all day.

The pakandhi sikhs won't condemn this. Don't hold your breath.

I don't expect nearly as much of a backlash, bunch of liberal losers!

    Can't the police get involved?

I assume they will once ID's are confirmed.

    How did this come about?

We have a clear picture of the guy in the pink T-shirt, so it shouldn't be too difficult to locate him. Find the young kid, then find these idiots. Are they Sikhs? I'm not kidding, some of our lot back home have a very questionable sense of humour. I dread to think what kind of negative mental affect this has had on the young child in terms of demeaning his Sikhi.

Someone with Sikh Channel released it, this likely took place in Amritsar. They could be sikh or hindu, god knows, no kara visible on any of their wrists however, don't know about India but most here wear a kara.

Absolutely dreadful, will the authorities arrest abd punish these guys? Or do they only give a speedy response when Sikhs are involved. Our Sikh Jathebandhis in India seem to have disappeared, not a word. Taksal, Nihangs , Baba , Sants all silent.

I don't expect Badal or any jathedaars to speak out on this, but yet when the video of the Sikh child being bullied on the bus was released all the major Punjab heads were trying to tell lecture America.

  8. Im bashin the uk...and so wat? I care bout this country, and care about humanity in general. This country has serious serious problems, and they need solving in various ways. And wat about my character, makes u wanna mention me in same sentence as those dirty shariah pr!cks?

There is the muslim way of bashing, and then the proper way brother. Its ok giving constructive criticism, but just hating will land Sikhs in the same boat as the Islamists. You seem like a heated chardhi kala singh to me though, I get your views, but you can and easily will be misunderstood.

  9. Just as Panj Pyare who conduct Amrit Samagam are selected based on their Rehit same way the Panj who should run our Gurdware should be selected based on their spiritual rehitvaan jeevan. It is Panj rehitvaan GurSikhs who qualify to become Panj Pyare. What qualifies as Rehitvaan? Panj Pyara must obtain from 4 Bajjar Kurahits, have at least all Nitnem memorized, have all Kakkars, MUST wake up at Amritvela to engage in Naam Simran.

We don't need democratically elected politicians to run our Gurdware we need selected rehitvaan Gursikhs.

I'm not familar with the process, how are those singhs selected for Amrit Samagams? But surely someone will have to choose which 5 singhs from the community meet the "requirements" the most, as there is bound to be more than 5. Would it not be the community who picks? I don't think democracy itself is a problem, its the lack of requirements.

I guess you don't believe in paying taxes on monies earned either.

Easier to not declare the income earned from donations from said temple and then claim off the corrupt British welfare state by stating you only earn £2 an hour.

Then go and preach against British western democratic corruption and how Gurus law is unquestionable and beyond criticism whilst living in a British secular democratic society.

    Sounds like a plan.

I've seen a few posts from StarStriker bashing the UK now, thankfully he's not as bad as those Islamists posted on Londons street trying to enforce Shariah over British law.

  10. Hence my glib assessment of the situation. Although if I'd hazard a guess it's something to do with money? It always is somewhere along the line. They certainly aren't fighting for truth and justice!

Not entirely, none the less though, aj kal no ones fight for righteous causes. Seen "Singhs" wearing chola sahibs, dumallay outright say they have lives to lead and would not fight for a cause.

  11. Look geezer, in sikh religion, we dont believe in democracy, only gurus law. B4 british arrived in late 1800s n took over our institutions, all gurdwaras were run by panj pyaras (5 baptised sikhs), who have only the religions best interest at heart. By puttin into the sikh minds that democracy is the way, u now have corrupt ppl in charge, who use payed muscle to intimidate other parties,n not to mention non-religious sikhs/spies r in charge to push their own agenda. This is how u get physical fightin happenin in gurdwaras over the dumbest lil non-issues, coz committee members have no love for r gurus, n dont even kno sikhi-wise wats right n wrong.

Panj pyara system isnt corruptable, coz they have the religions love 1st n foremost, not their own pockets, bmw's n license plates. Oh n btw, 5 baptised sikhs (panj pyareh) r the equivalent to our gurus, as sed by 10th guru, guru gobind singh. I couldnt careless who has monopoly on corruption, but it wasnt there in our gurdwaras, pre-british colonialism, so they r to blame, end of.

Who will decide who the panj will be?... Riddle me that.

  12. THEY ARE NOT SIKHS

You should call these lowlifes South Asians or Punjabis

What do gurdwaras have to do with this? Its not like they will be obeyed anyways

The only way I can see to keep ourselves safe is too keep our shastars - the guns - for self defence in case these cowardly shooters show up but sadly the gun laws in Canada are pretty strict thanks to the government

Why do you think they pose any harm to you? They have issues amongst themselves and keep it that way. No reason for you to hate on them or prepare to fight with them.

  13. What can be done?

None of the gurdwaras, sikh organizations, punjabi organizatins have come forward to lead a coalition to save our youth from killing each other. Why are there drugs in Sikh dominated areas?

I am 30 years old now, and this is been going on since 1995.

You really think these kids will listen to gurdwara committees/organization? most of whom are corrupted. They'd laugh in your faces.

  14. I commend Raj Kakra for his efforts in making films that give the Sikhs a voice, but if I had to give a completely unbiased review of the film, I would rate it low. The movie had little substance, not much of a plot/storyline, could have been done in much less than 2+ hours, and the suspense music every minute or two sure gets annoying. The CGI and action towards the end of the movie was horrible. In terms of watchability, I'd put Punjab 1984 much further ahead of it, despite that films subtle yet not so subtle maligning of the Shaheeds.

  15. bro, gurdeepsinghjohal was put into QC because he was denying the truthfulness of Gurbani and Vaaraan of Bhai Gurdas Jee. And he was put on QC due to another topic not about the issue of Kachee lassi being used

So he was punished for speaking his views that certain others didn't agree with? Sounds like something I'd expect from Islamists. Everyone should be free to speak their mind on a discussion board.

  16. What favor did the Hindus do for the Sikhs after Guru Teg Bahadur Sahib gave his head for the Hindus. That's right the Hindus gave up the whereabouts of Guru Gobind Singh Sahibs sons and they were killed. Yet our all knowing Guru still gave his head knowing what the Hindus would do. Also the Hill Rajas( hindus) fought against Guru Gobind Singh Sahib ji. The Guru ssw injustice being done and did not look at what religion they belonged too.

Current examples, Sant Jarnail Singh ji helping Hindus out and even built a Mandir for them when other Hindus were killing Sikhs. If Sant ji was here right now, he would give all of you a good whipping for even uttering such shameless words in the name of Sikhi. Thise who want favors should take their dastars off and join ISIS. Sikhi is a dharm of no worldly desires. Your views are borderline fanatic. The innocent will always be protected by Sikhi, no matter what religion they come from or plan to take up.

Like i've said we were a much more capable and stronger people under the gurus and even in the 80s. We could defend ourselves and others. Unlike today. Also, its not about getting favours in return. My view is lets be able to stand on our own two feet before making futile attempts to help others. Also, at a certain point it just becomes foolish to continue helping someone who keeps backstabbing you.

  17. No Sir! If you had read Sikh history, you would know better. Was Sri Guru Teg Bahadur Sahib ji's Shaheedi in vain for the Hindu nation? We had a lot of issues back then as well. Sikhs don't see us and them when it comes to injustices. Sikhs will not die out because we start helping those in need. Neither will we flourish by helping others in need. This is not a game of win or lose, but a game of following Vaheguru's command (no desire). The sooner Sikhs stop practicing the simrtris and shastars, the faster we Sikhs will get back on track and let Gurbani lead the way.

Sikhs did indeed have issues then, but in those days we also had tons of great leadership, unlike today where we have 0 leadership and 0 unity and are much easier of a target. It is not a game of winning/losing, but instead about survival. I don't see how helping others will mean we won't die out, till day what has it gotten Sikhs? Nothing wrong with taking some time to solve our own problems, and then help others when we are also in better shape to do so.

When the Saharanpur riots happened, not a single Gujarati Muslim came forward to condemn this unprovoked attack on Sikhs. I don't mind Sikhs standing up for Kashmiri Muslims and their rights because they also sometimes stand up for Sikhs since they are in the same boat, but the other Indian Muslims are an ungrateful bunch. Take the Saharanpur attack as an example. The Gurdwara committee which owns a school gives free education to poor Muslim girls in that area. Sikhs of that area help Muslims during any natural calamity such as floods and even allow them to do Namaz in their Gurdwara if they need to(which by the way goes against Sikh rehit Maryadha), but some Sikhs being the moorakhs they are allow such blasphemy to take place. Then Sikhs give untold amount of money and food during Eid. Yet still Saharanpur Muslims disregarded all the service that these friendly Sikhs did and attacked the Gudwara even though that land belonged to the Sikhs. And to top is all off, not a single Muslim organisation any where in India stood up for the Sikhs and especially not the Guju Muslims for whom Sikhs always raise their voice.

Exactly what I was saying earlier, we can go around helping everyone possible, pretending everything is fine and dandy, but in the end we get a slap in the face. But it's still not enough for most sikhs to wake up. We need to put the effort elsewhere or else Sikhi will be gone soon.

  18. Yes because we're all one and the same right? Generalise much

I'm generalising Sikhs? Not at all brother, I know some are anti-Islamic, and yet some aren't. I myself am not racist, but just prefer looking out for Sikhs before anyone else. Let the muslims deal with the Gujrat issue, we have our own problems to solve first.
