  1. As people become more educated about their own history they start to appreciate and understand more. They teach the right things to their children too. Christian people are more literate about their religion and observe everything if they are devout followers. The Catholics are very devout so it is not surprising they celebrate Easter and Christmas every year with prayers and meditation. They try in their hearts to feel the message of their Messiah.

  2. I do not have the particulars of the breed of horses, but these were fairly small horses that the mongols were able to steer with their thighs. This allowed them to shoot arrows without the extra work of steering with their hands. I believe the breed of horse was over-utilized and is now extinct.

Mongolians loved their horses. Horse riding was an essential part of their culture, the training started at an early age. The Mongolian youngsters were taught how to tie, groom, lead, Saddle and bridle the horses very early on.

"The Mongolian wild horse is known in the West as the Prezewalski horse after the Russian naturalist, Nikolai Przewalski, who first sighted several herds in 1879. In Mongolia it is called Takhi and it is purported to be largely unchanged since the time of Genghis Khan (ca. late 12th - early 13th century). The word Takhi means "spirit," a reference to the horse's fierce independence and untameable nature." https://www.fei.org/news/landlocked-yet-plentiful-%E2%80%93-mongolia%E2%80%99s-rich-equestrian-history

  3. Khalistan is supposed to be a land ruled by KHALSA as per Guru Gobind Singh Jee's KHALSA principles of equality, principles of LOVE towards all and NOT HATRED.

The current state of Punjab even if becomes Khalistan - can we say it will be ruled as per principles of KHALSA - principles of equality, principles of LOVE and NOT HATRED.

In Punjab, Sikhs belonging to Ramgharia, Mazhabi, Khatri (Arora), Afghani Sikhs are teased with HATRED; not allowed in JATT controlled Gurudwars.

Is this sort of KHALISTAN we are aiming for - Is this going to be more of a JATT-STHAN rather than Khalistan - where there will more Jatts becoming new Guru's like Radha Swami and Raam Rahim Satguru's from Jatt clans, where there will be Maan's fighting Dhillon's (Badal's) etc. spreading HATRED throughout.

How can you say this? Do 'JATT' controlled gurdwaras have a notice hanging outside their (main) entrance door which says only jatts are allowed? You are so obsessed with the castes. Go to all the gurdwaras, no gurdwaras prohibit anyone from visiting. Rise above the caste system. Teach yourself how to get on with everyone.

  4. Parmahansa Yogananda ji told his followers he will be going into Maha Samadhi on a stage in front of the congregation who would be gathered there to listen to his discourse. He told them the exact time, place and day of his Maha Samadhi. The day arrived and he was in the middle of his discourse and lo and behold, he drifted into Maha Samadhi right before the very eyes of his congregation listening to his discourse. He left his body there on the stage. In his autobiography he tells the reader how he met his Guru. He says, when he met his Guru, his Guru told him his time had arrived for his darshans and no one ever meets a Guru unless his time is right and ripe for spiritual guidance.

  5. If only....................You are so right.

Why would they make of fun of someone who is following sikhi in the first place? It is what they learn at home and not in schools. The training to become a bully starts at home and not in the classroom or playground. If a child is being bullied at home by older siblings and parents are not stopping it then that child will learn how to bully others in a similar fashion. We have already done half our learning at home before we start school

I agree. If we don't teach our children anything about sikhism before they start school how can we expect them to respect those children that are following the Guru? It would make non followers or the ignorant envious of them, wouldn't it? We learn our manners at home, schools don't have the time to teach our children manners or about their religion as they have to get on with teaching the national curriculum.

PM raises concerns over Sikh radicals’ UK presence

    TNN | Nov 13, 2015, 04.30 AM IST

NEW DELHI: Radical outfits are not only holding ideological indoctrination sessions at some gurudwaras in UK for young members of the Sikh diaspora but also giving them live demonstrations on how to make improvised explosive device (IEDs) with commonly available chemicals, claim intelligence inputs shared with the government here.

The intelligence reports claim Avtar Singh Khanda, vice president of Shiromani Akali Dal (Mann) and a close aide of terrorist Jagtar Singh Hawara, and Babbar Khalsa International-UK's Paramjit Singh Pamma are planning to hold radicalisation training classes for the Sikh youth, during which they will also be trained to assemble IEDs with locally available chemicals. Such classes were earlier conducted at Guru Nanak Gurdwara, Spark Hill, Stratford, Birmingham (December 2014) and Gurdwara Singh Sabha, Glasgow (January 2015).

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is believed to have raised the presence and anti-India activities of UK-based radical Sikh groups, apparently with the backing of Pakistan's ISI, with his British counterpart David Cameron on Thursday. Modi, who carried the dossier prepared for the bilateral talks, reportedly drew attention of the UK authorities to alleged fund-raising by radicals affiliated to banned outfits like BKI, International Sikh Youth Federation and Khalistan Zindabad Force during meetings of the Sikh diaspora. These funds are reportedly sent to intermediaries based in Punjab and Pakistan, say intelligence reports.

India is also concerned at the creation of Miri Piri Foundation on July 31 with creation of Khalistan as its goal. More recently on September 20, the annual convention of Sikh Federation-UK (SFUK) held at a gurdwara in Wolverhampton (West Midlands) declared the establishment of Khalistan as its primary mission. An amount of £97,750 was collected by SFUK in donations.

Modi reportedly shared India's concerns and objections to some pro-Khalistan TV channels operating in the UK. These include Sikh Channel and Sangat TV, both of which are allegedly controlled by Sikh radicals and known to indulge in anti-India tirade. The two channels had tried to incite young Sikhs by repeatedly covering an incident in Jammu dated June 4 that saw one Sikh youth killed in police firing.

Intelligence reports say the owner of Sikh Channel had given approximately £2,500 to the Pakistan-based chief of Dal Khalsa International.

Incidentally, BKI also runs an Internet radio called Babbar Khalsa Radio, which reportedly glorifies slain Khalistani militants.

Modi's ongoing visit to the UK is being opposed by local Sikh radical groups, which have discussed protests at 10 Downing Street, Parliament Square, Indian High Commission, Wembley Stadium, Cambridge/Oxford University, the hotel where the PM is staying as well as the local Hindu temple he plans to visit, besides the airport.

A UK-based NGO, Aawaz Network, has created a Twitter page and Google Plus page in the name of Dal Khalsa-UK to mobilise people for anti-Modi protests. The demonstrators are likely to protest outside Wembley Stadium on Friday.

Where is the evidence for this report.

  7. Yes, Hindus like you will justify it!

Same person hiding under a different ID that was making online threats to singhnihk on another thread on sikhsangat.com!

singhnihk left the forum for a while and came back only recently. The MOD knows who this person is and should ban his/her IP forever!

Unless, it is someone on the moderating team playing up? Mod, is it?

  8. caste is actually against Sikhi, if he wants to talk about that he should visit a Punjabi forum, where they do other stuff as well!

I can't find any posts from this OnieFaltoo guy anywhere here to do with caste. I think you need to leave here and join some Pendu forum, this forum is too intellectual/high eyebrow for your IQ. You were also attacking some other guy earlier on about caste on this thread. You have an ingrained inferiority complex about caste so just join another group more suited to your sentiments. I have also read your other thread demanding the Mod to ban a certain person because what that person said was difficult for you to digest. Stop being so CHILDISH.

    Total waste of time.

  9. I think the understanding of the technique of dramatic effect is beyond some

You been watching too many Bollywood movies or what? Dramatization of racist behavior belongs to the Bollywood movies only. Only a person who has the Bollywood brain will understand this shoddy Bollywood style 'technique of dramatic effect' and not by someone living in the western world, especially when they have been born, brought up and educated in the West. This special Bollywood style technique belongs to India which is a right f.....ing mess as witnessed on the social media. :angry2:

You should see him talk about caste, never seen anyone more interested in that topic about Khatris and Jatts. The title should stay as it stands.

You really need to GROW UP cry baby, as the previous poster indicated.

  10. Why do people get offended if someone mentions caste matters but not racist matters on this forum is very strange? They are both sensitive issues and can cause a great deal of pain and hurt.

People get offended by this because it applies to them directly on this forum. However the 'N' word applies to the 'other.' I hope this makes sense,

  11. Sangat Ji,

Please take some time to listen to this beautiful Keertan taken from the Katha and Keertan Smagam organised last Saturday by Basics of Sikhi and Sikh Helpline.

Bhai Rajan Singh sings the Shabad by Bhai Gurdas Ji that was also sung by Hazoori Bhai Harcharan Singh in light of the recent events in Punjab. He was subsequently expelled by SGPC head Avtar Singh Makkar.

We have included the translations which in themselves say all and show how the truth really can hurt sometimes!

Was Bhai Harcharan Singh Khalsa expelled for singing this awesome shabad which is totally pertinent to what's happening in Punjab now? That Makkar needs good thrashing, I tell you. How I wish I had taken some shastar vidiya training now!
