  1. the buses should be running,

they are normally i think. lol.

    theres always the tram :p

but yh penji bus should be.

    Fateh

Buses should not be running, bt this depends on what time the nagar kirtan will reach gngsmethwick. if it reaches there on time 12.30pm then i dont think police will open the high street. this again depends on the sangat, hw quick we can get the road clear.

I heard there are going to be 2 nagar kirtans (1 from sandwell and the other from birmingham), and they will meet up at gngsmethwick were there will be a massive program held, but it doest state on the posters:S.

dont se the point of wasting money if not that many sangat are ging to turn up as other gurdwara have better programs on that day, as iv heard.

  3. Why is their so much politics involved in this smagam? Why havent majority of the elder singhs attended?

Vaheguru ji ke khalsa, vaheguru ji ke fateh

No politics involved in this smagam. It is common knowledge that during the working week it may be difficult for sangat to attend smagams. Last nights Rainsbhai was attended by a lot of elder Singhs ‘old and new’.

Please note. Kirtan/samagams are not about which individual attends and who stays away.

If Singhs want to do Kirtan/samagams for anyone or any think they believe in, chardi kalal, the more smagams, the more laha the better, it doesn't matter who is organising it, who's name is behind it, which kirtanis are coming and who is attending or not. Ultimately the more smagams the better!

there was and still is a lot of contraversy over the shaheed smagam

Please note. Kirtan/samagams are not about which individual attends, who stays away and if POLITICS ARE INVOLOVED.

Please try and resist the temptation to create mischief! It goes against Gursikh principles!

The smagam has happened. Regardless if he or she attended or did not attended, DOES not matter. What matters is the fact that a Shaheedi Samagam was held in memory of Shaheedi Singh’s and Singhin.

If you feel the URGE to attempt to create debate about the samagm, after it as happened maybe you should take your concerns up with the two Jathedhar’s? I’m sure that they will point you in the right direction!!!

Again, for your information akj_4eva_akj, PLEASE READ CAREFULLY below and understand that the Shaheedi Samagam did not involve Politics!

  5. "Remember Shaheed singhs parwara (Families) are still out there, most of them begging and even selling there bodies to survive. Outside Harmandhar sahib you will get bibia begging, and guess what most of them are from a shaheed singh family. What a Sharam di gal, if we cant show our support in these smagams then sorry to say we will never get raaj, nor Khalistan. "

i seen a email on the akj egroup about 6 top kirtani being called ?? how much they costing ??? why not give their ticket money to the shaeedi parvars ??? a smagam like this could be arranged with local kirtani... singing kirtan together and remembering them is one thing (a great thing) but to waste money where it is needed is another.... a lot of smagams nowadays are truly forgetting the reality of what smagams are about, including sanjah smagama, akj smagams, etc... to much emphasis on top kirtanee and not enough emphasis on Gurbani kirtan....

Vahiguru Ji Ka Khalsa Vahiguru Ji Ki Fateh

Please DO NOT attempt to turn this into a debate!

The telephone numbers of the sevadars are located on the poster. Any discussions on the morals or even enhancements should be taken up with them. Please also resist the temptation from posting how individual Jathebandi’s are arranging samgum’s.

Yes I agree that it is a sorry state of affairs when money is paid for the hire of kirtanee, but again please take this up privately with those sevadars concerned.

It is easy to sit back and criticise and hard to do Seva.

  6. Is this a AKJ samaagam?

Vahiguru Ji Ka Khalsa Vahiguru Ji Ki Fateh

This smagam is for ALL Shaheeds but mainly it is the Barsi for Shaheed Sukdev Singh Babbar and Shaheed Bhai Dilavar Singh Babbar,

Please can individuals resist the temptation in posting whether it's an AKJ, Babbar, or any other Jathebandi smagam. Sangat should attend any Shaheed Samaagam regardless of which Jathebandi is organising.

As stated in an earlier post, there is no such thing as rankings in relation to Shaheed. The same applies to all Jathebandi.

It’s been a very long time since a Shaheed smagam was arranged. Please do not ‘knock it’. Lets us all unite to remember those Singhs and Singhin who made the ultimate sacrifice…..Their life!

  7. One question for you veer: this warfare and tactics you are talking about, does that anywhere has imprints of sri guru maharaj teachings or dharam yudh maryada written by maharaj itself?

Here are some rules to remember and regulated by guroo gobind singh maharaj during dharam yudh-

Literally, it means waging a war of righteousness or securing freedom and justice. Guru Hargobind Ji raised an army to fight against Mughal and Hindu oppression and injustice. Dhan Dhan Guru Gobind Singh Ji amplified the Sikh concept of Dharam Yudh as under:

    1. War to be waged should be without aggression or feeling of emnity and revenge.

    2. Before war is begun, all peaceful means of dialiogue, arbitration and negotiation should have been tried but without any success.

    3. The soldiers should be volunteers devoted to the cause.

    4. The defeated enemy should be treated with consideration and compassion. No women or children be captured or maltreated.

    5. That minimum force be used for subduing the enemy and as a last resort.

    6. No territory is to be annexed, no looting or wilful bloodshed is permitted. The army for Dharam-Yudh must observe these conditions, for they have to set an example as Saint-Soldiers.

This was written by Guru Ji himself for all Singhs to emulate. I personally believe that these rules also serve as an excellent guide for life. Think about them along these:

    1. Have no hatred towards anyone

    2. Try to be reasonable and understanding, but let anyone walk over you!

    3. Be devoted to your Guru and always aim to serve your Guru

    4. Recognise everything you see around you as that of Vahiguru, love everything. Even people who maltreat you should be treated with Love, to show that whatever they do or say, the only thing that really matters in this world is Vahiguru.

    5. Never try to be over-zealous and make sure that what you are doing is for the benefit of YOU and your Guru and that you DO NOT hurt the people who surround you when you are trying to achieve your goals.

    6. Do not hurt anyone (physically or mentally) and do not take or receive anything that does not belong to you.

Reference: Some of these teachings come from Guru Gobind SIngh's Charitropakhyan.!

    vaheguroo ji ka khalsa

    vaheguroo ji ke fatehhh

    1. War to be waged should be without aggression or feeling of emnity and revenge.

FACT: Shaheed Bhai Dilavar Singh did Ardaas and had no feeling of enmity or revenge. The reason for sending Beanta to be judged, was to stop further killings of innocent Sikh’s and the fact that Beanta stated that any Sikh connected to any Sikh group would been Killed!

    2. Before war is begun, all peaceful means of dialogue, arbitration and negotiation should have been tried but without any success.

FACT: See Sikhs history. I.e. Anandpur Sahib Resolution etc…The peaceful demonstration of Viskaski 1978 which was turned into a blood bath. Answer, this question. How do you open dialogue with a person like Beanta who as a thirst for Sikh blood? Heard the saying “Blood for Blood”?

    3. The soldiers should be volunteers devoted to the cause.

FACT: Shaheed Bhai Dilavar Singh was devoted to the cause. He was not hand picked but volunteered like the majority of Shaheeds.

    4. The defeated enemy should be treated with consideration and compassion. No women or children be captured or maltreated.

FACT: N/A in this case. Beanta’s family have not been harmed, even Thu they constantly are in the press slandering Bhai Jagtar Singh Harwara and Co.

    5. That minimum force be used for subduing the enemy and as a last resort.

FACT: Babbar Khalsa used this type of force as a last resort. All other avenues of force had been painstaking investigated. This was the one and only way. Look at the history of Shaheed Sikhs. From my understanding this type of force was used for the very first time. (Please correct me if I am wrong).

What is your definition of minimum force in relation to a human bomb or bomb of another kind? It just goes bang. End of!

    6. No territory is to be annexed, no looting or wilful bloodshed is permitted.

FACT: No territory was annexed or any looting or wiful bloodshed happened. Those around Beanta on the Day of Judgment had a direct hand in the slaughter of innocent Sikh’s and Hindu’s etc. Why else would they be there?

The army for Dharam-Yudh must observe these conditions, for they have to set an example as Saint-Soldiers.

FACT: All the above conditions where observed. Please think before you post. Do you really think that the leaders of Babbar Khalsa or any other Sikh group would allow innocent people to be killed or maimed? NO. All actions which are carried out are in accordance with the strict Rehit as laid down in the GURU GRANTH SAHIB. Remember all actions carried out, against the likes of Beanta and co are conducted with due diligence.

This was written by Guru Ji himself for all Singhs to emulate. I personally believe that these rules also serve as an excellent guide for life. Think about them along these:

    1. Have no hatred towards anyone.

FACT: Shaheed Bhai Dilavar Singh was a humble person. Hated was not part of his nature. Right and wrong was!

    2. Try to be reasonable and understanding, but let anyone walk over you!

FACT: The SIKH nation over the years as been reasonable and understanding.

    3. Be devoted to your Guru and always aim to serve your Guru

FACT: All Shaheeds have been devoted to their GURU.

    4. Recognise everything you see around you as that of Vahiguru, love everything. Even people who maltreat you should be treated with Love, to show that whatever they do or say, the only thing that really matters in this world is Vahiguru.

FACT: Yes but like Guru Gobind Singh Ji stated…When all else as failed it may be necessary to raise the sword!

    5. Never try to be over-zealous and make sure that what you are doing is for the benefit of YOU and your Guru and that you DO NOT hurt the people who surround you when you are trying to achieve your goals.

FACT: Shaheed Bhai Dilavar Singh obeyed the above. He was not over-zealous and it was for the benefit of the Sikh nation. Image this, if Beanta continued to live how many innocent people would have been killed? Hundreds if not thousands!

    6. Do not hurt anyone (physically or mentally) and do not take or receive anything that does not belong to you.

FACT: You need to elaborate further on this point!

  8. Nama Singh, would you or anyone else be surprised if it was related to the Gurudwara dispute? As for the false beard, the police said they were not sure if that was true or not --- could be a witness in denial who doesnt want to face the fact that Sikhs can act like the worst kind of murderous violent gangsters to each other.

Nothing to do with the Gurdwara dispute surrounding Ravinder Powar. (Unless he was the Shooter with false beard). BBC approached the Gurdwara for a interview, but Smethwick Temple declined as BBC may have tried to link the recent dispute with the shooting and cause unrest within the local Smethwick Sangat. Wise move...

  9. The ultimate sacrifice is for once to give up their life for the panth. If one does, then why attempt to slur the name of Saheed Singh’s?

Is this for personal gain or for the propaganda machine of the India Government Or both?

Think before you start to type!!!!

Regardless of which Jathebandi a Saheed Singh was linked to, they performed the ultimate sacrifice....THEIR LIFE.

Please Think before posting, those who dare to question Saheed Singh's and Bibi’s
