i believe meat consumption is just wrong. it doesnt mater which way you look at it. i can also pull quotes from Guru Granth Sahib Ji and give interpretations to justify my opinion. Learn and read Guru's Bani, understand the deep philosophy of Guru Granth Sahib Ji and then live every action of your life in accordance to Guru Ji's Bani. Only then can you even try to justify eating meat. If eating meat was a last resort to live longer to do naam jap etc then by all means eat it. but i do believe chomping meat casuary in every day life is wrong.

Baba Mian Singh Ji, a student of Baba Ishar Singh Ji, was a high level Sant. He said no person should ever justify eating meat using Guru Ji's Bani. On one occasion, a Bibi Ji (who had come from her home after preparing a chicken dish) was going to prepare Guru Ka Langar in Gurdwara Sahib, Baba ji stoped her, and asked her where she was going. She said she was going to prepare Langar. Baba Ji explained how wrong it was to use her hands to prepare langar immediately after preparing a meat dish. the Bibi was flabbergasted at how Baba Ji knew. To date since that day, Bibi Ji has never prepared or consumed any meat.

The above article says “one can only conclude that some of the Guru’s were indeed vegetarian and some meat eaters” that’s wrong, maby that’s the only conclusion that individual can come to, however I find it bizarre why Guru Sahib would (and I hate to type this… even theoretically speaking) eat meat in only some forms and not others. Our Guru Ji’s carries the same joyt in all 11 forms. The Chardi Kala Gurmuks such as Baba Mian Singh Ji spreads the light and teachings of Guru Ji further.

Radha Soamis and other groups whom claim themselves to be the Guru and do not accept Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji as the Guru. These groups are not to be

associated with, married into or meals taken with them. If they take Amrit from Panj Pyare, keep the Khalsa Rehat and accept Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji as their Guru then they can be associated with and they are our brothers and sisters.

Christians, Muslims, Hindus etc do not accept Sri guru Granth Sahib ji as their Guru, should we not associate or take meals with them too?... Radha Soami is not a part of the Sikh faith, and they openly say it. They do not plocaim to be successors of Guru Gobind Singh Ji or Guru Granth Sahib Ji.

im talking about Radha Soami of Beas, i dont know much about the other groups.. maby the site is refering to other rs groups that do claim to be Sikh Guru's in which case would make my above comment null and void  @

    WOOOOOOOOW

i just come back from shepards bush Gurdwara Sahib. was absolutly amazingggggggggg. seriously, was so speritually uplifting. havent felt this way since meeting Baba Bisant Singh ji in newsouthgate Gurdwara sahib.... i nearly cried i was so moved there. atmosphere was just amazing. i arrived at the shabad Bandhna Har Bandhna being sung with such love and devotion, with sadh sangat joining in. was just amazing. i felt so guilty siting with such good God loving sangat, i ended up leaving (after like 2 hrs)... never have i seen such a devotional and respectful sikh sangat, some amritdhari singhs exited the Gurdwara, walking backwards not turning there backs on Guru Sahib. the respect and devotion was amazing, never seen anything like it in this country. Shabad Gurbani Keertan, Sadh Sangat and Atmosphere was all jsut absolutly amazing.

    did any1 else go?

  9. Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Wahe Guru Ji Ki Fateh

as we all know, that special time of year has come once again again. 307 years ago a saint, a warrior, a soldier, a creator of a nation, a father to all, a divine poet, a humble speritual leader - blessed by God Himself introduced Khande Di Phaul and created the Khalsa Panth.

Never forgeting Gods Name on his pious lips, Sache Paatshah Sahib Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj who was born to Sahib Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji who made a supreme sacrifise of giving his head and laying his life not for the faith of Sahib Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, but a faith he had no belief in -Hinduism. Damesh Pita Ji sacrifised his entire family never forgeting to have Gods holy name on his pious lips. Guru Sahib always look at all with an equal eye and tought us to do the same. Guru Ji tought us how to be humble soldiers - masters of our own destiny. Guru Ji equated Himself to the mighty speritual and good hearted Khalsa. Guru Ji expressed His highest ambition was to sing the praises of the lord.

As true as the above, you are reading this post. With Nagar Kirtans taking place up and down the country (uk) lets join Sangat (as requested by Guru Ji) and pay our respects to Guru Granth Sahib Ji as we remember when the Tenth Nanak finalised the holy path of Sahib Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji. Lets remember the many shaheeds of the Sikh Panth as it is becaouse of them Sikhi was able to flourish. It was Sahib Sri Guru Arjan Dev Ji who started the greattradition of Shaheed in Sikhism and many hundreds of thousands of Sikhs, old and young men women and children would follow. Lets join our brothers and sisters in serving the community. Singing the lords kirtan, distrubuting prashad, and food n drink to all that attend, i hope we all attend Nagar Kirtan and get Guru Ji's sweet darshan.

I sincerly wish a very happy vasakhi to all and hope with Guru Ji's mighty rehmat we will all obtain God Realisation.

Who ever you are, where ever your from, post the date and location of any Nagar Kirtans you know of here.

ill go first with the most obvious...

as far as i know, it is not a must for Ardas to be performed after Kirtan Sohila. I have recently started using my Gutka Sahib's. Under Raat Di Bani is just kirtan sohila (without ardas). under Sham Di Bani, Ardas is to follow Rehras Sahib. as far as i know it does come down to personal choice whether or not Ardas is performed after kirtan sohila. ill try and find out more.

    Sangat Ji,

check out this video of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji if you haven’t already.

    http://70.86.234.234/%7Edaljeet/videos/Oth...om%20Lesson.wmv

The clip contains several discrepancies but is interesting to watch.

An RE class of a CoE school (SE London) is learning about the Shaheed of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji. The students are asked to act out the shaheed including playing the role of Guru Sahib Ji.

i was just going through some media on my computer, wotched afew 84 videos and felt a verietyof emotions which ive expressed in this poem.

    wahegurujikakhalsawahegurujikifateh

1984 The great land of the once 5 rivers.

Indira stamps her wicked feet, the cowardly snake shivers.

Ghandi’s dogs bark with hate swearing at the Golden Temple,

Jarnail Singh Ji Khalsa roars with the saint warrior mental.

On this day did Sikhs arrive from world wide,

to celebrate the life of the first Sikh martyr Guru Arjan Dev Ji with pride.

Instead were cries as Gursikhs died,

Because of this the Khalsa was revived,

Sikhs stood together kara’s side by side,

To defend dharam unite and remove divide.

As army tanks entered the holy darbar,

Leaving cracks on the Parkarma - this was only the start.

    Bodies littered the holy complex,

For anything other then killing they had no interest.

The sacred sarovar of Guru Ram Das which was once golden blue,

Only now to be deep red as blood and bodies could been seen through.

Innocent pilgrims and families came to celebrate this holy date,

Little did they know what was held in there fate.

The dogs followed orders from the devious snake,

Stormed their way to the lions - ready to challenge the great.

Every Sikh girl and woman was stared at with evil lust,

Snake Indira’s eyes pierced the Sant as she hissed in disgust.

Sikh prayers stayed strong with no food nor water,

Every Singh & Kaur praying to stop the unjustifiable slaughter.

Footsteps galloped their way into the holy shrine,

Without their heads covered and with their footwear securely tied,

A soul purpose to murder every Sikh in sight,

The dogs laughed at the women gripping their children in fright.

Shooting random bullets, hitting every non Hindu person,

Destroying precious Sikh artefacts and the original versions.

On this tragic day were Sikhs further provoked,

As openly did soldiers drink and smoke,

As if the days ware a giggle and joke,

As they continually created gun and grenade smoke.

They were fully prepared and equipped but we weren’t,

Guru Granth Sahib Ji they shot and burnt,

Because of this it was learnt,

That the government of India we can never trust…

We trusted them once and they turned the sacred Sikh library to dust.

Because of this it is a must, that we never forget there breach of trust

Those who commit such ghastly crimes,

And replicated them in over 100 other holy shrines,

Will remorse with guilt in Guru JI’s court.

To think for them we have fought and gave our lives,

Even Guru Sahib did so their faith could survive.

And this is how they repaid us, with invades and grenades,

Could we have been any more betrayed?

The Lion of the pride fights like Guru Gobind Singh Ji on his horse,

The shere Khalsa wield their swords with tremendous warrior force.

Laying lifeless on the ground soaked in blood are few army corpse,

The sheep’s brah and gill are furious, they push in more soldiers with their claws.

Increasing the amount of Guru Ji’s Shaheeds,

What a mighty force did Bhindranwale lead,

who showed Indira we do not beg on our knee’s,

she caused so many innocent to bleed,

she convinced the nation she was doing a good deed

in hear devious mind she planned to mislead

she told the world she didn’t want terrorists to breed,

while she was killing old Singhs while counting on there prayer beads,

For the first time in history Guru Ka Langar could not feed,

The elderly, women and children were in need,

All they wanted was to be freed,

Congress denied us of what was agreed,

To Indian government the Sikh panth will never concede

    Amy masses continued to exceed

To allow these awful atrocities to proceed

A discussing sight this was indeed

We never will we let them succeed.

If operation bluestar was not enough,

Indian government had planned other stuff..

The November delhi riots they would not delay

Sikhs were a casualty for Hindu mobs to slay

But that’s another sakhi for another day.

To much has happened my mind cannot bare,

A homeland where Sikhi can prosper is forever in my prayer.

These diabolical acts seemed so untrue

In this day and age what is left for us to do?....

As we look back on history and see nothings changed,

It is time for us to change our ways.

We should drink the nectar of our Guru,

The nectar strengthened by the double edged sword

The nectar of compassion and love

We should Become immortal and fear Satguru Ji only

Keeping the company of sadh sangat we shall never be lonely

To become children of our great Guru we must,

Abandon the sins of anger, possessions, greed, ego and lust

Be tyiar bar tyiar upholding the principles of the mighty spiritual Khalsa.

Remembering Guru Ji always and spreading the light of Sikhi further.
