  1. These contests are seen as a joke in developed countries. They require little to no talent to win.

I have noticed that Indians and people from other less developed Asian countries are very superficial and that's why these shows are popular there.

They even have a Mr Punjab contest on PTC for godsake.

You have barber shops in Southall with men getting their eyebrows done in full public view. No self respecting man would have such a thing done especially publicly.

When I was at Uni in the 2000s, I was told by Sikh and Hindu friends from Slough area, that Langley Grammar school was the non-Pakistani predominant, and the Herschel School was predominantly Pakistani

Langley is also a nicer area and has more Indians in it.

Herschel has students from Baylis and Chalvey, two sul dominated parts of Slough.

I grew up in Baylis but moved to Langley at 20. Unfortunately more suls are moving here now, i hope there won't be a mass exodus of apne.

The Stoke Poges one was previously a Welsh Community Church.

    I don't dispute the violence.

I walked through Chalvey all the time, it was given a bigger reputation than was warranted.

You mentioned that you used to go to Herschel. The Paki youth congregated there when they increased the size of the 6th form and  got a massive influx. That attracted a lot of the particular problems.

The main place where the Paki youth congregated was by the cafe in Queensmere and the back streets by Boots at High street.

Oh yes the GNVQ intermediate dossers who came from Slough & Eton and Wexham. I remember being reunited with a lot of suls from my primary school days when I hit sixth form. I thought I left those kan***s behind in James Eliman!

    I don't believe it.

In the 1990s, they already had 2 mosques, Diamond Road and Stoke Poges Lane.

The house one is the one in Chalvey.

The stoke poges lane one was like a house. A big house you could say. The lavish one they have now was funded by Saudis.

And yes it did happen. There was a lot of violence back in those days. Police used to be outside our school every Friday, and it's a grammar school! I used to feel very uncomfortable walking through Chalvey in those days.

This is an exaggerated false account.

This was written well after 1997.

Nobody even heard of Basra till after the 2nd invasion of 2003.

Also I don't believe for a second that the Ramgharia Gurdwara had their Nishan Sahib burnt down.

Nishan Sahibs are like 30 to 40 foot high. That would mean someone would have to climb up the pole to burn it.

If the Nishan Sahib was caught on fire, don't you think it would make bigger news.

Also I don't think anyone of the SP were arrested for their attack. But everyone seems to know where they are from like Southall and East London.

There is a bit of folk-lore around these accounts and things get embellished over time.

I'm from Slough. It did happen. The nishan sahib is made of cloth, as soon as you start a fire it will burn the whole thing eventually. Apne got revenge by dumping a pig's head in the mosque.

I remember their mosque used to be a small house like buidling. They had to get Saudis to build them a proper one, the nakamai.

Global Hunger Index 2021: India slips seven positions to 101, lags behind Pakistan, Bangladesh and Nepal

This is the future of india ....

Nothing surprising there. Central and Eastern India have always been dirt poor - Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha.

Punjabi hindus are so dumb . I used to live in punjab and they would believe in every self styled godman in town as if they were gods lol what a joke. Right now they have this guy called guru ji or something and this guy mixes hindu scriptures and sikh scriptures and just gives lessons on them and these people believe he is some god incarnation. Such weird beliefs. And then our dumb lot will follow and do the same of worshipping these self styled godmen. I have seen some comments from apne on the posts like jai guruji and other nonsense. Why cant our people have any level of sense? Why they always follow the wrong behavior of others? And you are right they wont let us succeed in punjab they are evil af but still punjab is ours I can never imagine punjab in their hands. They dont speak our language follow our culture how can they have our land? Apne who think these people are our brothers are so naive i just cannot. Why are our people so gullible smh. The real punjab is in the villages where sikhs reside not these urban cities . We need to build our villages and also we need to have sikh enclaves so we have sikh majority areas. We can outnumber them if we increase our population like muslims do but no our useless lot are too dumb for it.

This is the problem with our community. We are just a bunch of villagers. Economies are not run by villages. We should be living in and dominating cities.

All major cities in Punjab have a Hindu majority, even our holiest city Amritsar. It's a joke.

  8. Buddhism is good and I do like to follow some of its teachings but remember only the monks can get enlightenment. These monks do not work and rely on the charity of others. Now imagine if everyone became a monk, the world would no longer function. That is why Guru Nanak was so right when he said that everyone should live the life of a householder and that anyone can get mukhti.

There are also some verses in Buddhist scriptures that talk about women being obstructors to a man's spiritual path. No one talks about this.

He only got a 2:2 and possibly changed to an easier course.

It might not be in an institution's interests to not 'play the game' as they could get threats of losing funding, jobs, etc. In India, you can pay bribes (allegedly)

    Hi,
I was shocked to learn that Prince Charles only achieved a B and C in his A-levels to get into Trinity College, Cambridge. Apparently it was even recommendation by a Lord that enabled him to secure a place there. i.e a word with the college dean.

    https://artsandculture.google.com/asset/hrh-prince-charles-receives-his-ma-degree-from-cambridge-les-wilson/oAEaRFMLKZRo2Q?hl=en

Prince Charles went up to Cambridge University in 1967 to read Archaeology and Anthropology. He changed to History for the second part of his degree and was awarded a 2:2 in 1970. The Prince is seen here leaving the Senate House after the presentation ceremony of his Master’s degree.

That was over 50 years ago. Thankfully this practice has now ended in the UK, you have to have the grades to get into Oxford and Cambridge.

  10. A sul is a sul. It doesn't matter if they are from Mirpur, Lahore, Kabul, Dhaka, Beirut or Damascus.

Here in the UK these grooming gangs have consisted of Pak Mirpuris, Pak Punjabis, Afghans and Bangladeshis.

There have been Lebanese grooming gangs in Australia and look at the number of sexual assaults in Germany carried out by 'refugees' from Syria etc.

Now what links Pakistanis, Afghans, Bangladeshis and Lebanese people ? It certainly isn't language and culture!

Do not become close to them. Be civil when you have to be, such as at work but do not befriend them.

This is what they are capable of:
