No they were sent by Vahguru to return. They did achieve mukhti.

For 2 it is random but they were sent pacificaly so that is why.

I have heard from Katha so not sure. I think it is in Sant Gurbachn Singh Ji's teeka of Japji Sahib.

Some more good katha also at the start says Guru Tegh Bahadur Mahraj's periouvs life.
