  3. someone said it best that a "shaheed" in sikhi doesn't yearn for death, a shaheed in sikhi loves life and thinks dying to defend it is a righteous act.

so death has nothing to do with shaheedi in sikhi. its about the infinite value of life. manas janam dulambh hai|| life is sacred. that is the dharam of a sikh shaheed.

    peace.

Whenever he sees another Singh approaching at a distance. He greets him with 'Vaheguru Jee Kaa Khalsa! Vaheguru Jee Kee Fatheh!!'

"Sat Sri Akaal" is taken from the Jangee Naraa (War Cry). Sat Sri Akaal is not a greeting between Sikhs. Remembering the Khalsa, it's creator (Vaheguru) and remaining in high spirits is what the Fatheh was given for and why it is the necessary greeting. Most people changed it to "Sat Sri Akaal" because they did not want to take Amrit and hence the world "Khalsa" did not feel appropriate for them. Ask any older person why the Fatheh has faded. It is simply because people drifted away from the basic Rehat of taking Amrit.

Anyone can say Fateh to anyone else. The reason for saying the Fateh was so that it brought you into high spirits and reminded you of Vaheguru and the Khalsa. If you are not Amritdharee it should also ring a few bells!! And no, it is not just for men. Singh is used in the Rehatnama to represent a Sikh of the Guru.

fateh is the way to gooooooooooo

  8. sikha your reasoning is hilarious more than anything. so what if there are indiviudal groups who have different views over sikhi? that duz not mean they have different views over wanting freedom. in fact freedom from ravan raaj is what will keep them united.

there were 12 sikh misals, 1 (patiala even openly went aginst the other 11) who would fight each other over villages etc. however when the xternal enemy (abdali etc) caem they would unite as one to fight.

What you want is for the whole panth to be united on evrything before we can even use the word Khalistan. Nowhere in the world, in any country has there been any people who have been abslutely united.

In isreal there are jews who very disunited. If you sed to them give the palestininas some land, they are very united.

in pakistan there is fighting between shias and sunnis. if you sed to break pakistan up and join india again, they would laugh.

what about countrys like usa who have possibly every existing comminuty from all over the world there? would they give the usa back to the native americans? or would all these diffferent tribes be united for their own freedom?

there is no guarantee that Khalistan would survive. but then again Baba Banda SIngh never knew that the Sikh state he founded would survive or not but he still fought for the welfare of the Sikhs. same for the misals who were not sure the the Sikh rule woudl survive, but they never gave up hope.

Sure there have been states which have struggled since tey were born, abnd some have flourished. but that is karma. The arguments you have forward are "pendu" arguments. Again I repeat that it is better to live 1 day as a free man than 100 as a slave.

  10. hi, my poem for you about 1984 is finished, here it is (warn you its really upsetting, may bring a tear to your eye :@ i appologise in advance if it does to any1.

    GoldenTemple.jpg

    The Harminder Sahib-1984

The jewel of the world, the gold plated crown of our lives. Where all are welcome, and where the true guru will always reside.

Like a lotus on a pond, this beauty architected by the one true Lord. Beyond birth and death, meditate with each breath on Waheguru ji, the master of this world.

Truly Sachkand on earth, the sacred place in our hearts and minds. Built by our beloved gurus, no place more spiritual or divine.

Yet one moment in our history shall never be forgotten. The day all our hearts and lives and spirits were broken. L An act of such evil desperation and destruction by India’s ruthless military powered Hindu political faction.

A day when thousands of our brothers and sisters attend the 5th gurus gurpurb celebration. Men, women and our beloved innocent children. Families all together for this special spiritual occasion.

Unaware of the approaching tanks and military forces armed with oppression as their rifle, hatred as their bullets, death as their companion. An army prepared for war with peaceful, unarmed men, women and children.

Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale their justification to show no remorse, mercy and murder thousands of our innocent sikh nation.

The outcome deemed “successful” for they have killed the source of oppressed-sikh uprisal. “Successful” for they have destroyed our beloved golden temple.

Like a nightmare, the area decorated by a vision of hell. Blood, destroyed and decapitated bodies of thousands of our brothers and sisters. In an instant, families are separated and destroyed. In an instant, they wash and rebuild to cover the atrocities deployed.

    Wjkk wjkf

Where were they when punjab police and indian army raped our mothers and sisters and brutually murdered our brother singhs? Where were they when dusht gobind ram would make singhs drink urine and call it gobind ram's amrit? Wasn't it time for them to come to rescue of their panth.

  13. its all maharaj ji's khed. our purpose is god's purpose, because we are one and the same.

even according to higher level physics, everything is made of the same material, jus vibrating at different levels

we jus gotta tune our vibration to god's naad, and voila! we are one again

    :@

    Waheguru

  14. What is soohe;fifth mehl meaning
Guru Sahib has prescribed this shabad to be sung in raag Soohi. This shabad is attributed to Fifth Guru, Dhan Guru Arjan Sahib Jee, hence "fifth mahala"
The second Line says...In the state of Nirvaan......

My question is Nirvaan is liberation....How can one in the state of Nirvaan sing the keertan, when one is not in the state of Nirvaan.

    Nirvaana is defined as

    1. (context, Buddhism)The absence of all attachment to longing.
    2. (context, Buddhism) A blissful state attained through recognition of no-self; enlightenment.
    3. In non-Buddhist usage, state of paradise; heightened or great pleasure.

So, Guru Sahib is saying that, sing praises of God, but don't have any attachment to maya while doing it. If you sing God's praises by coming above the wants of your mind, then such a kirtan, sung even for an instant shall liberate you from cycle of birth and death
What is sadh sangat.? How do we recognise them?

  15. He Alone Is Known As A Spiritual Warrior In Sikhi, we learn to balance the Saint and Soldier aspects of our lives. This means we fight a war throughout our entire lives in the battlefield of our minds. The daily battle is to neutralise the 5 Evils of Lust, Anger, Greed, Attachment and Egotism and Guru Ji equips us with the Shastar of the Lord's Name.

Spiritual Warriors like Bhai Mani Singh Ji were cut piece by piece with hatchets but remained true to their faith. Gurbani is the greatest weapon as it pierces where those hatchets cannot reach. Once we equip ourselves with this Shastar then nothing can conquer us and we see ourselves as an instrument in the hands of the Lord's Will to be used as He sees fit. Then we use our faith through the soldier aspect through helping Society in the world around us. Sikhs are inherently activists and seek to help others. Do selfless service and correct injustices. One can fight in defence of their faith against the 5 Evils with the sword of Piri or spirituality as well as temporal injustices.

Shabad by Bhagat Kabeer Ji in Raag Maaroo on Ang 1105 of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaj:

The battle-drum beats in the sky of the mind; aim is taken, and the wound is inflicted.

The spiritual warriors enter the field of battle; now is the time to fight!

He alone is known as a spiritual hero, who fights in defense of his faith.

He may be cut apart, piece by piece, but he never leaves the battlefield.

On Panna 1015 of Sri Dasam Granth Ji:

    O Surya! O Chandra! O merciful Lord! listen to a request of mine, I am not asking for anything else from you; whatever I wish in my mind, by that with Thy Grace;

If I fall a martyr while fighting with my enemies then I shall think that I have realised Truth; O Sustainer of the Universe ! I may always help the saints in this world and destroy the tyrants; bestow this boon on me.

On Panna 1015 of Sri Dasam Granth Ji:

O God, grant me this that I may not hesitate from performing good actions.

I do not fear the enemy, when I go to fight and assuredly I gain victory.

I may give this instruction to my mind and have temptation that I ever utter Thy Praises.

When the end of my life comes, I die fighting in the battlefield.

From Ang 1412 of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaj:

If you desire to play this game of love,

then step onto My Path with your head in hand.

When you place your feet on this Path,

then lay down your head and do not fear public opinion.
