  2. Khalsa productions,

Thank you for trying it out.. Sure, you can have the code for your sites... thanks for the support... i just added vaheguru ji ka khalsa, vaheguru ji ki fateh.. i had forgotten to add different spellings for words, and have added this to his database as well now... i'm sorry, i know some people (not you) are getting frustrated, because it's not perfectly answering all questions yet, but i can assure you that everyday we update the database more and more... that's why it's a project, and it will take time... slowly we will reach our goal... i appreciate all those of you who are supporting the project in a positive way... thanks again.....

    fateh

    bhul chuk maaf......

  3. Sangat Ji,

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh.

Allow me to introduce you to Bakshi. A sikh bot. Please click here to read our project details. He is running on the software, A.L.I.C.E. (Artificial Linguistic Internet Computer Entity). Talking to Bakshi is just like talking to a real person, but remember you are really chatting with a machine! A.L.I.C.E.s engine utilizes AIML (Artificial Intelligence Markup Language) to form responses to your questions and inputs. Bakshi is the first internet Sikhbot ever to be created!

We have started training Bakshi to respond like an actual Sikh would respond to your questions. Our goal is to have Bakshi trained to the point of a Sikh being able to have a full conversation with him. This is where you come in. Bakshi is in BETA testing. We encourage you to talk to him. Ask him questions and see how he responds. When you find errors in his responses, please use the link on the project page and send us a full list of corrections you have noted during your conversation, so that we can use your data to train Bakshi to respond more accurately the next time. This is an ongoing project, and will take some time to reach our goal. Once the sangat feels that our goal is reached, we will release the fully trained code for Bakshi to all other sikhi-related websites so that they can include him on their respected webpages. Please contact us if you would like to add Bakshi to your webpage during the BETA testing. We can give you the code and help you set it up. All we ask is that during this testing phase, you leave the linkback to these project details, so that people can learn more about the Bakshi project. You will not have to do any updating to your website during the training process, as the most recently updated Bakshibot will appear automatically.

So, how do we use it? Ask Bakshi a question or simply start chatting with him, in the ASK area of the box. Bakshi will give you his reply, and from there on, you can start chatting with him. After his reply, hitting the TAB button on your keyboard will bring the cursor back into the ASK area of the box. This will be much easier than using your mouse to reposition the cursor after every answer. There is a project link at the bottom of the box, which will bring you to the project details. If you find any bugs, want to make training corrections, have any suggestions/comments/questions, or would just like to drop us a line, please do so using the link on the project details page.

Sangat Ji, we encourage you to help us achieve our goal to display Bakshi on various places all over the internet. This can help educate people about sikhs and who we are, and hopefully even inspire our own youth with a fun approach to sikhi. There is no limit on the number of tools that we can use to educate our youth. We hope that the Bakshi Project is one that they find different, interesting, and helpful. With Waheguru Jis kirpa, and your help, we hope to make this project a complete success. Thank you for your time.

    * Bakshi can be found on our main page, to the right, when you scroll down. He is open for chatting with everyone, including guests. You do not have to be a member of this forum to chat with him, although, we would love for you to join our community!

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh.

  4. lol i think u can look at these as "rhetorical" questions more than anything else...point being, SOME ppl say that when we eat plants we're killing them too and whats the diff b/w killing plants and meat...ive just come across this argument alot...its just something to think about...ppl will always stick to what they think is rite, which is up to God we cant change noones ideas and noone can change ours...

im not proposing sumthing, im raising questions in the minds of those ppl that think killing plants is equal to killing animals and, in turn, use it to explain why they eat meat...by all means go ahead and eat humans if u want...but sum ppl just use a wrong approach in justifying they actions..thats the point i wanted to get across..

i'll leave it at that...those of us who were meant to think it over will, those of us who werent, wont...thaz just the way it iz :D

    pce

    Bhenji,

I think you may have misunderstood what I was trying to say. I wasn't talking about meat, nor am I promoting eating it... With all due respect, I was just replying to your question:

i have a question.......do plants have feelings?? (watch sum1 say they do )

I'm sorry for the misunderstanding. Bhul Chuk Maaf...

  5. Earlier this year Inderjeet Singh got caught doing the same thing. Guy had full Sikhi saroop as well...
man that hurt so much to watch. n he's was being all smart trying to say u cant arrest me i didnt do nothing, :D

yea man, watching that inderjeet singh is too much... after i saw that, i thought great... people aren't gonna remember everyone on that show, except the one that stands out, the sardar... givin us a bad name... anybody got an update to what happend to the singh after the episode? is he out of jail yet?

  6. tru grin.gif but plants dont have a nervous system like animals do and they dont have pain receptors...

i understand where your coming from completely. but nevertheless, pain receptors or not, we can never know. we can't limit waheguru to mere science... nobody knows... maybe plants have a different system, which hasn't been discovered yet, and maybe is undiscoverable. only waheguru knows...

    with all due respect...

  7. yea, it's sad that a lot of nihangs in india drink bhang. (bhang for those of you who haven't heard of it, is a drink made of water and marijuana leaves, which causes an altered state of consciousness, or a high/nasha) this is true, i've seen it with my own eyes. truly sad... nonono.gif

  8. i have a question.......do plants have feelings?? (watch sum1 say they do rolleyes.gif )

Well, we can never know... I know a lot of people say no, plants don't have feelings... but how can you really know? Only God knows... Unless someone on here is a plant, and can tell us... woohoo.gif

  9. vaaheguroo jee kaa khaalsaa, vaaheguroo jee kee fateh!!

i have heard the shabad 'hau vari hau varne kurbaan tere naavnau', but there is another line in there wich goes like this: eyko nwmu hukmu hY nwnk siqguir dIAw buJwie jIau ]5]

but i found that the spelling was wrong, the first word is 'eko' spelt in punjani as: eeree, laanv, kukaa and then horaa, but in the amrit keertan it says exactly that same word but without the 'horaa', instead of a horaa there is an aunkar (little line at the bottom of a letter), so i am guessing that the amrit keertan is right?

please sangat find out and tel me if i am right, is SikhiToTheMax right or the arit keertan? kirpaa karke. please tell me if u did not understand as i know it is confusing the way i have said it. i think it might obviously be the amrit keertan, dont know.

    Bhul chuk maaf karna

vaaheguroo jee kaa khaalsaa, vaaheguroo jee kee fateh!

just contact sikhitothemax and tell em what you noticed... they're human, i'm sure it was just a simple mistake and they'll fix it....

  10. Yes I've seen the movie. Me and my friend went to watch it one evening. We were the only two in the theatre which I found rather surprising. My friend got bored of the movie and walked out half way through.

The Singh I was referring to is one of the two gursikhs who come to Amritsar and discover what has happened and only one (with long white flowing dhara) returns to inform Baba Deep Singh about what has happened whilst the other remains to take on some of the soliders.

Oh, yes i remember who you're talking about. When I went to the theater, the hall was packed, because they are only showing it once here. Was your friend gursikh? I didn't think it was that bad, but it was rather longer than expected.

  11. I agree someone gursikh should have played Baba Deep Singh's role. Why does everything have to be left to the imagination? I don't see it as disrespecting Baba Deep Singh's memory/life but more honoring his life and serving as an inspiration for us today. We Sikhs need to stop being so backward in our views. Showing an artists impression is exactly the same as someone playing his part. The Singh with the mega long dhara would have been perfect for the role. I give the film 5/10 for effort but it could have been a lot better.

so you saw the movie too? which singh with the mega long dhara? what scene was he in?

  12. Sangat Ji,

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh...

I saw a new movie today, called Anoke Shaheed Baba Deep Singh Ji, here in a movie theater in Virginia, USA. I really liked it, because 1. there were all REAL sikh actors, not mone in dastaars, and 2. because i learned a little history that i hadn't known. One thing i realized is that sikhs in those days were REAL warriors man........ they were the real deal.. they saw a little unjustice and stood up to fight for it... and gave their lives for their faith and beliefs... while i was watching the movie every little hair on my body was standing up from the feeling that people actually were so brave like that... i guess you can hear all these sakhis but when you see it visually it makes a bigger impact.... (for me at least)

A question I wanted to ask was how you guys felt about people acting in roles such as Baba Deep Singh Ji... Nobody acted his part, they just filled his part in with some drawings... The reason behind this is because we believe that nobody else could be as great as the original person. Do you think it should be allowed or not? The reason I ask is because a lot of people came out of the movie complaining that they wished somebody had acted as Baba Deep Singh Ji's part... Just wondering how the sangat felt about this...

    Bhul Chukk Maaf

there it is again, those perfect tuks... :TH:

  14. Firstly i am observer and not much of a speaker,

Secondly, this is precisely the reason why i dont post anything, its because of all ur childish remarks as above...

I ask one question and out of 28 replys i only get 2 decent replys and the rest have been a total waste of time...

Mr london, are u dumb? darminder means door to god not the rubbish u came out with, just because ur name means a city it doesnt mean my name is a frightened fISH!!!

Finally i bet alot of u wanna join my fan club

ok that's it... i can't help but feel like your taking it personally now.... i just asked you a simple question, very politely... and then your tone of response was completely condescending and rude... and on top of that, your paranoid by every person's joking with u... when somebody jokes u take it so personally.. (example... "oh so i'm a fossil now?" example... "Me always ready to fight!!! i asked a question, and everyone thinks im the devil, gosh man!!") you obviously haven't been a real observer, because then you would have "observed" that everybody jokes with each other on here........ seriously, lighten up... (I ask one question and out of 28 replys i only get 2 decent replys and the rest have been a total waste of time...) see what i mean? honestly... did you need to say that? first of all, ur asking people how to hack into a wi-fi connection on a sikh forum... cmon... and then you expect everyone on here to give you step by step instructions in a very serious manner, without joking.... cmon man.... calm down... chill.... take life one step at a time... otherwise you're gonna wind up a mean, old man...... sorry if what i said was rude, but it was only in response to your attitude towards everybody..... hope we can still be friends..... blush.gif i'm really a nice guy... .really... :console: i'm sorry buddy... now i feel bad.....
