  1. Same way, we say no to gayism.

what on earth are you talking about? Are you some sort of homophobe?

Maybe! I am not sure. You think I am??

I was stating a fact, relax dude.

I understand but you don't need to be rude.

Its not about being a homophobe but not accepting gayism.

  2. This is how i know it,

Asa di vaar can be recited anytime of the day ie, as u read bani froma gutka (or if u blessed enough to read it kantth).

But when it is done in kirtan form it is to be dun in raag Asa (as the name asa di vaar suggests) and this is designated to the early morning. Simple as that.

You cannnot twist it and sing it in any raag or tune and therefore sing it anytime of the day because that therefore defies the whole point why it is called ASA di vaar.

    Paaji,

i think you got abit confused there. Paintballing is just being advertised on the poster. If i read the poster i see the youth programme is associateed with the shaheedi purb and the paintballing is nothing to do with that.

Either way it doesnt make a difference, its just an event, where is the conflict, the youth wont be killing each other or anything if thats what your worries about :| ?

    Fateh.

    wats paintballing ???

    *confused*

Just shoot each other with paint bullets in an open air environment and scenario. Work in teams ans play tactical and mind games. :TH:

Paintballing in Gurus memory doesnt sound like devotion to me.

You can have a paintball group anytime except the winter, {you dont want to be shooting frozen balls.} but having a ballin game doesnt sound very good.

Have the sign ups at the programe and shoot the next week.

The sign up is at the program and the paintballing is the following week. You thin they guna start shooting paintballs in the gurdwara??

  4. Fateh Ji

    Yes,

Sant Ranjit Singh Ji will be in Smethwick i think 17th til 24th July 2006.

Also following sant ji's programs there will be special Atam Ras programs at Smethwick featuring Bibi Baljeet Kaur Khalsa,

Following that will be a week program by Bhai Maninder Singh Sri Nagar Wale and following that is Bhai Balwinder Singh Rangila.

    At Guru Nanak Gurdwara Smethwick.

    sant ji???

Sorry what shall i call him then?

  5. You lucky lucky people of Smethwick.

Do not listen to the nindhaks, go to the diwans and get lahaa of Baba Jis buchans.

    Anyone got their full itinery?

Yeh they are lucky arent they...wish i cud live there.

Sorry dont have the full itinery of Sant Ranjit Singh Ji

Dont worry, Nindhaks are the people who empower Mahapurkhs. The more they slander the bigger the hole they dig for themselves. I have heard sikhi to the max is anti-mahapursh and are changing the translation of bani [sukhmani sahib] on sikhi to the max? Is this true?

  7. Oh It's all started again has it.

84 Survivor - I admire you as you have a talant for manuipulating the the sungat in this forum with such "accurate" information - it couldn't be far from it.

When was the last time you actual checked your facts.

So many readers have become involved in this debate and don't know that they has been mis-guided.

    What else can I say

    Gurfateh B "Singh"

Number 1: I have no skills in manipulating anything. If you actually used your brain and read the forum you would have read that my original post was not written originally by me, i simply translated the official press release, which is available at all gurdwara and which was also printed in the punjab times if i am correct.

Number 2: The information comes from the elder community members who released the information and not myself, so please refrain from making accusations.

Number 3: Have you been brainwashed by the 'ek niwas' family? Anyone who fails to see the wrong in this has to have screw loose somewhere.

Number 4: If 'Baba Ji' and 'Mata Ji' have such great love for SGGSJ...why dont they follow the teachings and take amrit and become part of the khalsa panth? I think this question is your biggest hurdle.

Number 5: If they have so so so much love for sewa...why not go around the corner to Sedgley street and spend all day doing sewa there of the true guru? Do you see every member of the sangat who does sewa trying to open up their own gurdwara? This actually promotes the fact that it is a business venture and also the fact that 'Ek Niwas' is a listed company grin.gif

Number 6: Dhan Dhan Dhan Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji

  8. how about we just go to this mandir? raid it if neccesary and rescue our guru?!?!?!?!?!

Nope, this is geting sorted by legal means and legal means only. This way we have the support of everyone in the community.

The police should be more active in trying to stop this escalating into something far worse.

It is said that the pakhandi baba has been dodging tax etc and sending huge amounts of money to India via hawala channels. Therefore he is circumventing not only UK law (I wonder if he is Charity registered) but also Indian Foreign Exchange controls. Perhaps some jathebandis in India can get his full details and pass on the details (and follow it up) to the relevant authorities for investigation. Maybe the babas who attended Captain Amarinder Singhs inaugeration of the Khalsa Heritage Complex in Anandpur could meet with him and ask him to look into the pakhandis financial affairs in India.

Yes the main meeting on the 6th July is with Police officials and the Sikh community and Ek Niwas. All your ideas and views like this are those required on the open meeting on the 2nd July at Sedgley street gurdwara.

  9. Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa

    Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh

Dear sadh sangat, a humble request in your presence. As you know from previous notices, ‘Ek Niwas’ of Dudley Road, Wolverhampton has carried out immense disrespect to the king of kings, jaagdhi jyot Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. This has been done by carrying out Brahminical acts, idol worship, rituals, and many other superstitious acts, all of which are condemned in Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji.

An even more painful point being that in the place where Guru Ji is kept; giddha, bhangra boliyan and other manmat acts are being carried out. It is clearly obvious that Guru Ji is kept there for business purposes only and all donations are being used to fill the stomachs of those responsible. This is a great dishonour to Sikhism and Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji.

To put a stop to this disrespect, Singhs arranged a meeting with ‘Ek Niwas’ and police officials at Wolverhampton police station. Due to certain reasons the meeting was ended, ie. ‘EK Niwas’ representatives not turning up.

The next meeting has been arranged for Thursday 6th July 2006.

In order to cause rifts within the Sikh Community, members of ‘Ek Niwas’ have posted a message on an internet website stating that a meeting took place and that it was decided that ‘Ek Niwas’ may open up its own Gurdwara with the backing of the Sikh community and sadh sangat. The message is shown below:

"Congratulations to Ek Niwas – A New Sikh Gurdwara To Be Opened.

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ke Fateh

    Respected Sungat,

I have been informed that Ek Niwas are going to open a new Sikh Gurdwara.

    You might ask why?

People said the Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji (SGGS) held at Ek Niwas was being disrespected. This was certainly not the case. Mata Ji has been doing it’s seva for the past 42 years. The SGGS has been fully respected.

With Sikh Leaders requests for the SGGS to be taken away from Ek Niwas, it is unmistakable that this will never happen.

The immense respect that Mata Ji has for the SGGS it is impossible for it to be taken away from her. With so much love and affection she has for the SGGS, a Gurdwara will be built as a compromise. This will take a lot of effort and money but will be worth it due to the full respect of the SGGS by Mata Ji. This is such an honourable thing to happen.

I have heard that the Sikh Leaders have objected to the opening of the Gurdwara by Ek Niwas. This is rather confusing due to the compromise that is inherent. But what is fascinating is that I have spoken to Sungat from lots of areas and other Gurdwaras who all give their support.

I personally give Good Luck to Mata Ji for her sheer determination and respect for the SGGS for taking this decision to build a Gurdwara. God Bless her."

Sadh Sangat ji, this is totally false and a complete lie. This situation is growing by the minute and a solution is required.

To this matter, this a humble request that ahead of the meeting on the 6th of July 2006, we request your presence on Sunday 2nd July 2006 at Guru Nanak Gurdwara, Sedgley Street, Wolverhampton for an open meeting where your views/opinions/ideas/solutions will be greatly appreciated.

As you know, the Sangat has received a letter from Akal Takht Sahib stating that ‘Ek Niwas’ does not have permission to have parkash of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji and they are fully behind the UK Sangat.

Once again we request your presence:

    Open Meeting re: Ek Niwas

    Sedgley St

    Sunday 2nd July 2006

    4:00pm

Please let all the Sangat know and make your voice heard.

  10. Gurfateh,

ppl please be clear when u are talking about aarti, majority of the ppl are saying aarti is manmat, no aarti is shabad gurbani, please be clear when you state things; whether you are talking about the ritual or the actual shabad.

    Fateh Ji.

forget manmat and gurmat and this and that and what type of sikh you are! 4 get it all! how do you love your guur, how do you do your ownn things! not what anybody else does.. coz thats judgement and are we supposd 2 giv judgement?!?! NO so u carry on with your sikhi ile carry on with mine and we'll all live happily ever after!

Thats what im trying to get across blush.gif

  11. Gurfateh,

ppl please be clear when u are talking about aarti, majority of the ppl are saying aarti is manmat, no aarti is shabad gurbani, please be clear when you state things; whether you are talking about the ritual or the actual shabad.

Guru Ji showered with flowers; "Phoolan ki bharka bharkavae..."

Its a sign of respect and love for guru ji...its the least we can do. We do it when parkash and sukh asan takes place of guru ji also.

As for doing bhog of langar and prashad and offering prashad to guru ji 1st; we see Maharaj ji as our living guru, is it not disrespectful if we do not giv prashad ti guru ji 1st?

You have to understand that in the langar, we refer to the prashaada as roti before it is blessed with guru ji's kirpa and then it is reffered to as parshada. So the significance of doing bhog...you make your mind up.

    Forgive for my mistakes.

    Fateh Ji.

  12. Just wanted to know what the sangat think about the new maryada at Sri Harmandir Sahib re Tanti Saaj (String Instruments)?

I have been watching daily on Alpha ETC and think it is amazing. Also does anyone know of any websites where we can download such kirtan?

    Kurta Pyjama Ji?

How come you chat so much pum?

String instruments are puratan saaj, raag kirtan is essential, you hardly hear proper raag these days and you should be grateful; when you do as this is the business.

    Gurfateh.

  13. hmm what about the previous programmes? there was someone stating that they were uploading them... :@ but never showed up..also are the amrit bani recordings gonna be available?

    Fateh,

I wont be able to help you with the Amrit Bani Radio recordings im afraid. These recordings are only specific to the 84 Shaheedi Youth Program held at Gurdwara Baba Sang in Smethwick.

    Fateh.
