I was listening to some katha this morning. In there bhai sahib was talking about kaljug. He was saying that kaljug is a time now in which people indulge in kal and kalesh. I saw the tenders then when they were made. I dont know where you would get them from now. Yes I knw Brar and co were in the comittee when it was passed. But even when the model was displayed, noone knew what the end figures were going to be. There were questions raised but they fell on deaf ears. It is only after the buliding was made and the accounts released did people realise the extent of the money spent.

Veerji, I know you are trying to clarify the situation but there are a few queries I would like to raise. I have personally seen the tender for the gurdwara that was desinged prior to this design, an I must say that it was a much better design in terms of facilities and architecture. The cost of the was not more than £10 million, for the same size as the one at havelock road now. The only reason the commitee did not go ahead with that one was because the work was done by the part of the opposition who were at that time in the same comittee as Sohi. We have so many taleneted people in our community, that if we wanted we could have bulit the the gurdwara at minimum cost, instead of giving it to others to make money. But the problem is everyone just ends up cutting each other for the sake of chaudari. Look at GNNSJ gurdwara in Soho Rd birmingham for example, that was moslty bulit and done by seva, and it is prob one of the best sikh instituions in the UK. They even offered Sohi to to the gold seva free of charge on the domes, but he said no. Also stating that the original budget was set by the trustee means nothing, as everyone knows that the trustee osf the gurdwara and the comittee are the same group, some of them are even related. If the budget was set by and independent tender, then I would have agreed.

yes 'truekhalsa', we have already established that Malhi shouldnt have used the funeral as a political playground. But at least we do admit that malhi's side do have mistakes. Sohi & Co think they are invincible. thats the saddest thing! They dont know whats coming to them. You talkin about filth, the commitee cant even keep simple hygine in the gurdwara. As well as cocroaches running around, I have personaly seen mice/rats running around park ave. Once I saw one running accross the chananee in the upstairs hall during a youth kirtan program. Another time, I saw one run out under the where the parshad is served. When I told the granthi about it, he goes ' oh koina, kitchen vich vee bohat firdeeaa..' (oh don't worry there are many running around in the kitchen too..). I was shocked, how can you let the run around in a place where you a preparing food for hundreds of people a day. If the council came to check it out, they would probably close down the gurdwara for hygine violations. After that day, I have thought twice about eating there. and about mr. RSS Dokal, what can I say? self explanatory really. And we aint the ones getting embarred and humiliated, You are just doing that to yourself. Sohi is liar so no one believes him. £18 million is just a ridiculous amount to spend on a building that costs half that. Ok just say that all his figures are correct, why is there still reapairs going on, on which they are spending extra money, for which there should have been guarantees, from a company that apparently went "bankrupt"? All these arguments add up and look as if there is something else behind what they are saying. If they are not afraid then let the members do an independent investigation to see what the truth is! Haha! So after he left the comittee why didnt Sohi remove it. I've heard Sohi even saying that he don't consider the Akal Takhat as an authority because this is UK, whereas UK law says that AKal Takhat is the supreme authority of Sikhs. Firstly, I dont consider all the people who voted as sadh sangat as there was a lot of fake voting. Secondly, the charity commision can only do so much until they investigate the whole thing properly. Thirdly, the police are obviously gonna listen to sohi, coz he's told them he is the owner of the gurdwara. And the MP's? well they are just as corrupt as Sohi, coz he probabaly pays them. So did you actually tell Sohi to look into taking amrit? or doenst he know what that is? Ask Sohi to also set uo a counselling service at the gurdwara for people like you...

Thanks for bringing it to my attention. But at least if he did, he used his own money and not the gurdwaras. Sohi doesn't think twice before using sangats money for his own devious motives. Actually half or even more than half of the opposition were once in sohi's comittee. Why did they all leave, are they all stupid? If they all wanted to stay in power they should have stayed with him. But they know he was doing wrong so thats why they left him. 9 members resigned in 1997/98 in protest against sohi changing the constituion so he can sell tobacco and alcohol. They prevented him from doing this then, but he still went ahead without the permssion of the sangat and amended it himself. Thats a direct violation of the constituion and the law. After that slowly the rest started opposing him too, Brar, Samra, Dhami, PB Johal, many more, and the latest Mr. Dhillon. They all must have seen him doing something wrong, otherwise why would they oopose him. They could have just stayed with him and reaped the profits.. lol I aint saying they are all angels but, sohi probably the worst out of all of them put together. Again thats what all you brainwashed people can see.. an £18 million building he has made.. whoopoee! Who cant do that? Whats the point of it if it gonna be empty in 30 years time. Whats he doing for the youth? NOTHING, Whats he done for the Kaum? NOTHING, Whats he done to promote Sikhi? NOTHING. Azad you talk soo much crap its unbelievable. The only reason Sohi & Co. won coz they cheated! They were in charge of deciding who can and who cant become a member, so obviously they can cheat as much as they liked. They have done this in past and nothing stops them from doing it again. Even a little amount of common sense will allow one to realise that: 1. Sohi & Co. made the decisions who can/cannot become a member. 2. Random sangat members were approached to become members and vote for baaj in return for £25, for a memebership which cost £5. 3. When the oopsistion asked for the membership list, it took the ages to firstly give it to them and secondly, they gave it in a format which they needed to do alot of work with in order to get any info from. Again just using delaying tactics. 4. They never let anyone other than there own people sit in the office while members were being recruited. 5. Members that they knew would vote for them were made members without ID checking on many occasions, while those which they thought were from the opposition, were given a hard time. 6. An independent report on the membership showed that a large proportion of the members werent even registered at the address which they had against them. 7. There were many examples of members who have died, 10 members who live in a ONE bed flat etc.. 8. A number of members who came to vote on the day found that someone had already voted in their name, suggesteing that either the people giving out ballots had mixed things up, or sohi & co were giving out fake ID's for multiple votes. I can go on, but the main point is that they have no idea what a fair election is. Had it been fair Sohi would have definately lost. If he has got nothing to hide why doesn't he allow the opposition to undertake an independent investigation to check whats really going on?? At least if malhi spent money paying ppl to vote for them (im not saying he did or didnt), at least he would have used his own money and not the gurdwaras. Sohi and Garcha did go one before and sed that they would answer all the questions that the opposition had!! Not with lies and falacy to decieve the sangat. The sangat is entitled to the truth!

Actually azad FYI I am a member and have been for many years now. I have read the constitution. Have you? Do you know what one even is? And for those of you who dont know, on that debate on desi radio, two other people were supposed to be on the opposition panel, but Mr. Sohi and Mr. Garcha didnt let them on because they wouldnt have been able to answer their questions. About 2 weeks ago there was a debate on panjab radio in which Malhi lot posed question for the comittee. Mr. Sohi and Mr. garcha promised to answer the points that were raised there, but never did! Why coz they cant! Why dont you put that on the net 2 and give an unbiased opinion of whats really happening rather than taking sohi's side all the time. Use your commoin sense if you have any. I dont really supposrt somethings that malhi has done, but at least he hasnt got to account for £9 million of gurdwaras funds. Well if you read my post properly you will see that i am replying the your previous one not the last one you posted!

Azad & Co.. obviously you cant read between the lines. The meaning of giveing a reference like that is that people go around showing to the world that they are religious leaders but dont have a clue about sikhi and its tenents. In the end they wil suffer great pain. I am not saying this, it is clearly stated in Dhan Sri Guru Granth Sahib, which is the truth and nothing but the truth. Dont make a mockery of gurbani!! Shows how low you can go!! And by the way being the executive commitee they do need to answer to the concerns the members have, by law and by the constituion of the gurdwara. None of you prats have a clue whats going on!! None of you facts have any solid proof!! Go and do something better with your life other than talking crap!!

FYI when the plans were being made for the gurdwara 6-7 years ago, there was also a tender of £8 million, which I have seen personally. The facilities and the structure of those plans were 10 times better than those of the current havelock rd. Yeah theres one thing doing a job, but its another thing doing it properly. It has to be asked why there was so much spent on the gurdwara? its easy spending someone elses money. if it was couple of grand, even a couple of £100K, it could have been overlooked, but an extra £9 million?? thats not a joke! And on top of that they spending money on repairing it, why? where are the guarantees? oh yeah i forgot the company went bust!! I remember when Mr. Sohi was approached by someone to undertake the seva of parts of the gurdwara, which they were willing to finance themselves so that the gurdwara wouldnt have to pay. But Mr. Sohi didnt allow them to do it coz they werent his supposrters and he wanted his name on the golden plaques in the gurdwara!! Ridiculous!! Gurdwaras are supposed to be religious places of worship where anyone can come pray, do seva etc.. But nowadays they are becoming business run by people who have no clue what sikhi is..!!! Truekhalsa, At the end of the day all the opposition and thte mebers are aksing for is an account of where the sangats money has been spent, an account of the mmbership, which I may add they are fully entitled to. Why cant the commitee just give them the answers they want? instead they divert the attentions and say things like you have said in your previous post. Address the issues that have been raised and stop hiding and keep the sanagt from the truth. Maybe the commitee has done good, but until they address these issues and tell the sangat what they want to know, no one will believe them.

If Sohi wants Hindus to vote, he should go and run the mandir. The election was blantenetly rigged. I personally know of cases where the person wasn't allowed to vote becasue someone already had voted with their ballot. hmmm?? it seems sohis party were dishing out fake ID cards to random ppl to get more votes. There should be and independent inquiry on these people, only then will people the the true fallacy of these so called 'sikhs'. They are all a shame!!
