Vaheguru Jee Ka Khalsa, Vaheguru Jee Kee Fateh..!! smartsingh... an example mite be me about 10 years ago... i'm not sayin i'm a granthi or a chardi-kalaa gursikh or nething.. but 10 years ago i was a mona and knew nothin about sikhi... and thanx to the acceptance, love, and encouragement provided by the sangat, i am now more into sikhi then ever before, and my love and devotion for it is stronger then ever... i GUARANTEE that if i was told that i couldn't play tabla or do kirtan back then, that i would NOT have decided to join the path of sikhi and become a sikh...like i said.. i'm speaking for PERSONAL experience, and i'm sure many others on here are... u can't say nethin to personal experience, because tha's factual.. i know many gursikhs on this forum that have come down a similar path as mine, and they are amazing, amritdhari gursikhs.. so this method of ALLOWING 'mona's' to do kirtan infront of sangat DOES work better then that of NOT allowing them..... bottom line.. it's a SEVA.. !!! you can't take seva away from them like that... common japman singh, don't be like that, we're helping out a veer, and when everything is all said and done, we'll all go eat some kheer, as hairy and gorilla'sh JSS veerji seems to be, u should know that in Sikhi, we believe in equality, so i say we all join on this mission to find JSS a life-mate, although i'm afraid when he gets married, he'll dramatically increase the population rate...!! :umm:

yeh but that being said... i'm not sayin that NOBODY was amritdhari... many of the kids were and almost ALL of them ARE now amritdhari... they WERE and ARE still a GREAT inspiration on me... but to tell u the truth, the mona and the non-amritdhari singh were more of an inspiration on me at that point...

actuallly.. u are very rite there... but... thats being said in a different context... lemme talk from personal experience.. when i FIRST started coming into sikhi about 10 years ago... i was a mona... my family didn't really know the first thing about sikhi.. i didn't know what sadh sangat, akj, taksal or nethin was... i barely even knwe the 10 gurus... when i started coming to sangat... to tell u the truth the FIRSt thing that attracted me was tabla ... so i started to learn that.. at the same time... i started to learn kirtan.. slowly, slowly i started gettin more n more into sikhi/sangat.. i was ALLOWED to develop as a sikh... in some places we see more 'force' used on youth to get into sikhi... i dunno tha's jes my perception.. anywayz.. i would've never have started growing my hair or would've never have taken amrit if the sangat had not WELCOMED and even ENCOURAGED me with open arms... nobody looked at the fact i had cut hair.. nobody bothered me about not knowing much about sikhi.. through love and sangat i am who i am today.. and without this sort of love and seva that the sangat gave me i wouldn't be where i am... i would probably be some druggy or somethin like all the people i grew up with up to that point.. moral of the story?... the person who was playin tabla when i first fell in love with it was a mona... the persons kirtan who mesmorized me.. at the time was NOT amritdhari... and i was about 10 then, and they were just a few years older then ma..see even monay's and non-amritdhari's can influence people... in my head i was thinkin 'wow if he's acceptd and he's not even amritdhari, and that guy over there's a mona, then even i can start tabla and kirtan in sangat as well'.. that alone is encouragement... bhul chuk maaf.. i don't think it makes the ACTUAL amrit different.. like person a's amrit isn't different from person b's... just the rules and (some) beliefs given by the panj pyaray are diff..

JSS feels left out because he is not the centre of attention, He's getting so fed up that its causing a lot of tension, He feels the only way to get into the mix is to make false accusations, But thats just because he has to release, maybe he's in constipation? the truth is JSS is a very lonely and depressed child, even noonespecial wouldn't give him a chance to get wild, He looks for ways sprend rumors about others, yet he doesn't realize that we're all just brothers. Now please JSS, if u need some help, please don't hesitate to call, If you're REALLY that lonely, we'll take u to the mall, And if you are very lucky, we mite even find you a wife, This will definately help, 'cause God knows u have no life..!! :T:

there isn't only ONE way to naam jap... tha's a pretty bold statement.. thats kinda like sayin those who haven't taken amrit from the panj pyaray at an AKJ samagam/raensabhaee do not know the proper technique in doing simran? .. tha's not very logical... everybody has a diff way of doin simran..some people prefer saas girhaas... some people prefer very slow.. some very fast... some loud.. some soft... simran is simran... as long as we're DOING IT that's what counts.. anywayz.. gettin back to the point.. i think akjforever veerji did answer ur question that they DO practice Naam Drir...
