In Sant Baba Harnaam Singh's Biography, there is a section where he discusses his 'vision' of Jesus, Mohammed Sahib and Bhrigu Rishi Ji (a great Hindu Rishi who is well known for his Bhrigu Granth for future prophecies). Here is the section:

"One day when Baba Jee was in deep concentration of highly elevated consciousness, the Great Christ, Mohammed Sahib, and Bhrigu Rishi Jee gave their glimpses. They had spiritually radiant faces having auras around their heads. After blessing with their glimpses first of all Hazrat Mohammed Sahib uttered, "You are a blessed and lucky person whom the Great Guru Nanak Dev Jee has shown the direct, easy and best method to attain God in kalyug. But the followers of Great Guru Nanak Dev Jee are not driving the full benefit out of it." After some time, Bhrigu Jee Said "In our times, we had to undergo very hard and rigorous methods. The whole age of man was spent in meditation and celebration but the attainment of God was too hard to achieve. But the true Nectar of Naam which the Great Guru Nanak Dev Jee has brought for his Sikhs, we could not get it. No doubt we had amassed great miraculous powers of every sort due to rigorous meditation and penance, including giving curse and blessing to someone; but we were deprived of the Nectar of Naam."

The Great Christ uttered short-cut words as, "It is my inner desire that my followers should adopt the path shown by the Great Guru." Saying these words the three souls disappeared."

We don't want to make the same mistake that other people make about sikhs/sikhi and just go by what we hear/see on tv or whatever... my point is, only refer to things that u kno as 100% correct/factual...

where have i said people 'needed' my advice? the reason why i posted that is because there is so much stuff that we say/think because of hearsay or internet/media which is not correct a lot of the time (especially when dealing with another faith; especially Islam).. people always make mistakes about sikhs that they hear through the media or their friends or whatever... which is why we shud be aware when posting about other faiths because we don't want to do the same thing... thats all...

google? haha... ur funny... no.. i have muslim friends who I've spoken to about this... maybe u DO know more then me, maybe u don't... thats not the point.. maybe when u actually get to realize my point, this thread can move on...

NOWHERE have i said that anybody was incorrect.. what i SAID was before making a comment, people should be sure what they're sayin is correct, because there are a lot of times that things are said by hearsay which necessarily aren't true..

NOWHERE have i endorsed Sharia Law,.. tell me.. have YOU studied Sharia Law??? do u kno Sharia Law is somethin that can be studied jus like "business Law" or "family Law" or something??? i highly doubt it... so before u say 'he knows zilch' u might wanna look in the mirror.. and don't think because maybe u've read some stuff on the internet that makes u an expert..

Also, since you are so keen to give the Musalmans the 'benefit of the doubt' when it comes to Shariah, let me illustrate with one example the myriad of complexities that would acompany introducing Shariah alongside Biritish Law.

I think before any of us discuss Sharia Law, we shud kno exactly what it says in regards to whatever we're discussing, not go by hearsay.

There is a single rehit maryada which was formed with consultation for all jhatas. The only purpose of amending the existing PAnthic Sikh rehit maryada would be if all jhatas were dissolved and we all conform to the Panthic Sikh rehit maryada.

SGPC is "panthic" maryada? since when? Akaal Takht Sahib Jathedars have not signed off on ANY maryada to state a single maryada as 'panthic'..

during the 1920's many prominent Sikh leaders walked out on the discussions because some people starting making so many changes that were not agreed with... therefore, it cannot be considered a panthic maryada... Akaal Takht Sahib has not 'endorsed' that maryada, meaning, it has not stated that maryada as panthic maryada.. even some of the other takhts go by different maryada then Akaal Takht Sahib..

i have a question...before 1920, how many times was there a 'meeting' like this arranged to discuss a 'panthic' maryada?

I remember a few months ago when I was travelling, I had to go through the states... and I had to go through customs again and all that jazz.. so I went through the metal detector and i had both my karay on.. (one on each arm).. the guy looked at me and he's like 'can you take those off' n i'm like 'no, i can take one off, but i have to keep one on'... and rite as a said that, he made a sariya bootha hahaha... and then this other (kalee) lady (i dunno if it was his supervisor or somethin) was like... "no, he's sikh, he can keep it on... didn't you see the video?"... he felt maddd dumb... she jus looked at me and smiled... i was kinda shocked... but it was nice to see that some people actually kno the difference...
