  8. I red, and it says nothing about terror all it talks about is Alah being the SUPREME and says that nothing stays hidden from him, hes almighty and tht but nothing about terror or prophets. FOR BETTER UNDERTSTANDING THAT ISLAM HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH TERROR READ SURA 2:256!!
  9. Its was used in Akbars rule and he was addresed as:- Deen-E-Ilahi Akbar (Persian: "Divine Faith"), an elite eclectic religious movement, which never numbered more than 19 adherents, formulated by the Mughal emperor Akbar in the late 16th century AD. The Din-i Ilahi was essentially an ethical system, prohibiting such sins as lust, sensuality, slander, and pride and enjoining the virtues of piety, prudence, abstinence, and kindness. The soul was encouraged to purify itself through yearning for God (a tenet of Sufism, Islamic mysticism), celibacy was condoned (as in Catholicism), and the slaughter of animals was forbidden (as in Jainism). There were no sacred scriptures or a priestly hierarchy in the Din-i Ilahi. In its ritual, it borrowed heavily from Zoroastrianism, making light (Sun and fire) an object of divine worship and reciting, as in Hinduism, the 1,000 Sanskrit names of the Sun. In practice, however, the Din-i Ilahi functioned as a personality cult contrived by Akbar around his own person. Members of the religion were handpicked by Akbar according to their devotion to him. Because the emperor styled himself a reformer of Islam, arriving on Earth almost 1,000 years after the Prophet Muhammad, there was some suggestion that he wished to be acknowledged as a prophet also. The ambiguous use of formula prayers (common among the Sufis) such as Allahu akbar, "God is most great," or perhaps "God is Akbar," hinted at a divine association as well. Akbar is recorded by various conflicting sources as having affirmed allegiance to Islam and as having broken with Islam. His religion was generally regarded by his contemporaries as a Muslim innovation or a heretical doctrine; only two sources from his own time--both hostile--accuse him of trying to found a new religion. The influence and appeal of the Din-i Ilahi were limited and did not survive Akbar, but they did trigger a strong orthodox reaction in Indian Islam. Akbar removed the tax on Hindus, despite the traditional mandate in Islam to tithe non-believers, and invited scores of religious scholars, including Hindus, Jews, and Christians, to debate him personally in his private chambers, often late into the night. Akbar's wives were also of different religious backgrounds - each marriage was thus a strategic union that would allow the adherents of India's many faiths to feel that they too were apart of the royal household. Over time, Akbar's fascination with religion grew to almost an obsession when he fashioned his own faith, called Din Ilahi. Din Ilahi was an eclectic mix of the other religions Akbar had studied during those late-night theological debates. He borrowed what he saw as the best components of each and blended them into the melange that became Din Ilahi. The new faith, however, never caught on among the Hindus and Muslims outside of his court, but despite this failure, Akbar continued to support religious tolerance among his people.
  10. Ha because I know about islam you are a niave <banned word filter activated> even in Sikhi Veer Jio, I don't know from where you got that sura stating 17:61 but the sura 17:61 has nothign to do with terror all it has to do with is allah. This is sura 17:61 stating that Shakir is saying:- "And when We said to the angels: Make obeisance to Adam; they made obeisance, but Iblis (did it not). He said: Shall I make obeisance to him whom Thou hast created of dust?" Meaning God is Almighty and a true muslim will only pay obeisance to Lord. translated by Harvard University Dept. of Religious Study, Divinity School

I think kirpan is allowed in UK Souce:- Panthic Weekly

All they want is west out from their land.. like we want india out of punjab.. THINK...THINK..Its the same situation with muslims as it was with us... US and England are invading muslims countries to catch osama and other terrorist leaders as indian govt invaded o catch sant jarnail singh ji.. (I'm not comparing sant ji with osama)... THINK....
  16. Well, We did all that too FORGOT...(again, THINK)...
  17. I have no connection with Yogi Bhajan, but I have heard of him and how he has worked with and helped many "american sikhs". What are you trying to say? That some of what Yogi Bhajan taught had nothing to do with sikhism, and that he just created it? According to people who were way less educated than YogiJi about Sikhi. This is what our gurus told us not to think about and we're still there, Sooraj and Chandarma..... Our body is polarized. If you drew a line down the center of your body you have a right and a left. Its like ying & yang. Do you know what ying yang means????? Also men and women are like that line down the middle. One{men} on one side and on the other side{women} People can think all they want about what they symbols are for, but mind you there is a highly spiritual signifagance to why GuruJi gave us these gifts. Only an uneducated and less connected Sikh will oppose these gifts. Where is your love for the Guru and Wahegurus creation of Sikhi? Looks like some help is needed.. (i don't know what kind of, maybe english reading) When did i oppose kakars, and said guru ji gave us these kakars for nothing..... All is said is wht u said above is wrong, Brahmanwad which gurus restricted..
  18. Veer Ji, I wear kirpan on campus and everywhere i go.. By Religious Act of 1976, Sikhs are allowed to wear kirpan(Freedom of Religion-Ist Amendment) but the size of blade is ristricted to less then or equal to 3 inches, blade must not be sharp enough to cut someone(which is stupid), kirpan must always be worn under shirt so that its hidden. And if some stops you from wearing it don't worry, just give Sikh Coalition a call and it will be resolved(thts wht i do)... I only had problem wearing kirpan once in my lifetime, i have been wearing it from 16years now, and i had prolem this year but was resolved the same day by Sikh Coalitions Director Amardeep Singh Ji. If you have any questions just visit www.SikhCoalition.org WJKK, WJKF!! And for Pritam Singh and Others:- MUSLIMS HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH TERRORISM, In quran it doesn't say kill ppl, it says remember lord all the times and if the panth is in need then choose the path Violence or Peace... (I'm not going waste my time explaining, If ur smart enough to be a gurmukh u will get it) But, If you are saying muslims are terrorists according to worlds eye then where do we Stand... Remember every single sikh jathebandi or group is under terrorist watch list while from muslims its only 5 groups out of 20 groups.. and going by ratio Muslims are 1:4 and sikhs 4:4... Think before saying or Do some research.....
