  2. Hey Guys,

I am doing both the London and New York Marathons next year. And I could so do with everyone’s support and donations.

The two charities I am going to run for are Bliss - London Marathon and Tommy’s - New York Marathon.

BLISS campaigns for improvements in neonatal care so that more babies survive and have the best quality of life. BLISS ensures parents are supported as carers by providing a freephone helpline, specialist publications and website. BLISS supports the development of innovations in all aspects of caring for premature and sick newborn babies.

    Charity Registration No 1002973

Tommy's is a medical research charity determined to end the heartache caused by premature birth, miscarriage and stillbirth. The charity funds a national programme of research, education and information aimed at understanding and preventing these tragedies.

    Thank you

  3. i tink you will find u r pro student camp.

i am glad you will actively do something about this beadbi. if any fool is helping organise this then they need to stop.

my point about Miss Choogal Kaur is the boss fools u r talking about r at a camp right now and cant defend themselves.

Piddu ji, if you know me then you wil know I am not pro sikh student camp. I have seen a lot c**p going on at that camp which I have voiced my opnions about openly to the organisers. Unfortunately they never took any real active solution against it. This year it has been different. They have done something actively about it and have addressed the flaws.

A lot of rumours were flying about about the camp. Most of which were created through chinese whisper style passing on. Those of which I know are not true I have spoken out about.

In regards to the BOSS lot who are not here to defend themselves...well thsi will still be here this time next week when they can read it and respond. Only reason why I have bought this up now is cos I have just seen the pictures from Watford and it got me thinking. I'll be honest, it never occurred to me before about the mela and nagar kirtan.

  4. she is a sikh student and has got it in for boss.

she thinks they are trying to stop her camp.

the boss fools are at thier own camp right now so no point talking behind thier backs Miss Chogul Kaur.

they couldnt stop your camp if they wanted to. they can just about organise thier own......lol

ring the campaign guys and raise this issue. while you are there please dont forget to mention all the beadbis at your own camp.

dont worry you might be playing devils advocate so i will ring them and tell them.

as for suggestions, i hand it to you: "The best people to contact are The Council of Sikh Gurdware in Birmingham. They are the main organisers. I'm not too sure of the contact details tho."

you said you had thought this out.......lol

Piddu ji...I'm not from pro Sikh Student camp neither am I pro BOSS.

In fact I have loads of friends from both sides. I do not get involved with any politics and only follow the Guru's rehit. So please do not make any assumptions.

Also how am I Choogal Kaur? I am stating what I have seen with my own eyes.

YOU ARE A BIT SENSITIVE ARENT YOU. I AINT SHOUTING.

MY POINT IS IF YOU START A TOPIC YOU OPEN UP AND SAY WHATS ON YOUR MIND. SEEMED A BIT WEIRD. BUT ITS OK THE POINT HAS NOW COME TO LIGHT.

The only point I am making is that I do not see the difference between the Watford issue and mela. I would actively get involved if Beadbi of Guru Ji is occurring. As to me my Guru Ji is the most important aspect of my life. So if you believe that teh mela is beadbi of Guru Ji then I too would like to do something about it.

Also Piddu Ji I attend BOSS camp every year. This year is the only exception as I'm having to use up my holidays to go to India next month. So again please do not make assumptions.

  5. SO YOU DONT THINK IT IS A BEADBI? PLEASE DONT USE GURU JI'S BEADBI FOR SOME DOUBLE AGENDA. YOU DIDNT STATE YOU KNEW PEOPLE WHO ORGANISED IT IN YOUR FIRST POST. THEN SUDDENLY YOU KNEW WHO ORGANISED IT...LOL

ONE MINUTE YOU ARE DEVILS ADVOCATE NEXT MERELY POINTING OUT HYPOCRISY. WE ARE ALL HYPOCRITES SHARAN KAUR. EVEN YOU AND I.

SO WILL YOU BE DOING ANYTHING ABOUT THIS BEADBI? OR DO YOU NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR GURU.

I'M SURE YOU CAN GET THE CONTACT DETAILS. YOU ARE LOCAL.

I never said it is or isn't beadbi! I'm just trying to get my head around it all. And yes by playing devil's advocate.

I said it's hypocrisy as the campaign sevadaars were against taking Maharaj Ji's Saroop to that community centre in Watford however, they actively take part in the organisation of the Mela and Nagar Kirtan every year.

In the 1st post I never stated either ways whether I knew the organisers or not...so what's your point exactly?

Actually Kuljeet ji...I may be local but that does not mean I can easily get the contact details. I'm not actually from the Birmingham area but from another part of the West Midlands which I do not wish to divulge in.

Also could you please refrain from using caps as to me it seems like you are shouting...which I hope you are not!

  6. Waheguru Ji.

    Our brothers are sleeping.

So why not a sister leads this campaign :TH:

    GIRL POWER...LOL

MOVING ON TO SERIOUS MATTERS IT IS A DISGRACE THINGS GO ON UNDER OUR OWN NOSES AND WE DONT SEE THEM.

I DONT THINK IT IS FAIR TO CRITICISE THE CAMPAIGN SEVADAARS AS THEY ARE WORKING HARDER THAN ANY OTHER TO STOP PREVENT THE BEADBIS.

GURU GRANTH SAHIB JI IS NOT ONLY THE GURU OF THE CAMPAIGN SEVADAARS BUT THE GURU OF ALL OF US.

THERE IS MUCH BEADBI AND WE ALL NEED TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY. WE CANNOT LEAVE IT TO A SMALL GROUP OF INDIVIDUALS AND PRETEND ITS NOT OUR PROBLEM.

A lot of the campaign sevadaar take part in the organising of the Nagar Kirtan and Mela. I know loads of BOSS sevadaars also take part in the organisation.

On the day there are many posters and signs up as to ask people who visit the park to refrain from smoking and drinking within the park. But it does happen.

This Nagar Kirtan and Mela is one of the largest if not the largest event in the UK at Vaisakhi.

I am merely trying to point out some hypocrisy.

  7. The recent events at Watford and also previous events, where Maharaj's Saroop has been taken out of the Gurdwara to be taken to a community centre/hotel, has got me thinking.

We all agree that this is beadbi of Maharaj Ji as we are taken the Saroop where alcohol normally gets served and so on. However this happens in Birmingham every year but yet no one bats an eyelid. I'm talking about the Mela that takes place after the Nagar Kirtan at Vaisakhi.

A Darbar Sahib is created in the community centre at Handsworth Park where all the sangat can come in and pay respect to Guru Ji. However, I know with absolute certainity that this community centre holds parties and such like for the rest of the year. Now why does no one say anything then or do anything?

I'm not condeming the actions taken by Respect for Guru Granth Sahib campaign. I'm just playing the devil's advocate to see what other's views are in regards to the above. Also I know a lot of those who are in the photos from Watford also attend the Nagar Kirtan and mela in Birmingham.

  8. Yes some people who attend the camp and are not part of the running of the camp. The camp itself is nothing wrong. The 'people' have been addressed so that shall now not be an issue.

what people? can we have names? they have been addressed in the past too. they persist and come back. sometimes they are protected by others even thought they know they are wrong. u also seem to be accepting there is a probloem. but at other times act like it is a great camp.

I'm not a choogal kaur and so will not start naming names!

As I have said in all previous posts the camp itself is a brilliant camp. I know many who have turned to sikhi from attending the camp.

Yes there was an issue with certain indiviuals but that (as I said previously) has now been addressed.

  9. I think he said he was there. Dont get your point. Are you saying he wasnt?

I'm saying that I can not recall any time where it has been said that taking amrit is not required. He said that he was told this by some singh at the camp.

Once again please don't slate the camp...actually visit the camp and see for yourself what the camp is all about.

  10. i went to this camp one year and a singh told me he wouldn't have taken Amrit if he knew he didnt need to!!! I said i dont know much but didnt Guru Gobind Singh Ji take Amrit themselves, so who are we to say we dont have to. He went to say to me no its all about love and being pure. I can be a khalsa without taking Amrit. So i never went again to this camp.

Ummm...where exactly did he get that from?

I go to the camp every year and I am amritdhari! It has never been said that you don't need to take amrit! So really don't where he got that from?

Also the camp isn't actually as bad as everyone makes it out to be....please don't slate it until you have actually been there are experienced it.

And ha ha...inflitrated by RSS. Trust me this is not the case.
