KMan, just to give you an example of why we need to be sensitive.... 6 people dead and others laying all over the road. The poor driver is in a state of shock or hurt to the same extent as some of the people. He could have appeared intoxicated, slurred his speech, been non-responsive etc. People may have assumed that he was intoxicated so a drunk driver killed what might have looked like 10-15 people in shock and not responsive. Some in shock who would know otherwise may have senselessly reverted to the culture on the streets of India, where beating the perpetrator is a norm. Now, even under those circumstances, it is of no use to be assaulting anyone and it is unfortunate, but hopefully you see how why it might be best to give all involved in the tragedy a little bit of of leeway. Anyone with family here in relation to the driver or pedestrians, you're in our ardas. Thanks. That sheds some light on the issue.

Sorry to the victims. I'm not going to make too many friends for this next paragraph but, bare with me. Newspaper is reporting that the 71-year old driver was taken out of his truck and beaten. Um, anyone else find that really disturbing? Everything happens for a reason. It's not like he intentionally hit them. To those who beat the man, what are you thinking? Your friends and family are bleeding on the road and you go and beat the man? What the heck is wrong with people?

I have no control. It is not technically a Gurdwara, it's almost a Dera. No nishaan saheb, no maryada, it's not for the Sangat, it's private property, Gurdwara Nanaksar. Wait.. that means there's no langar hall coz langar is not served in Nanaksar Gurdwaras no? Isnt that why there is no Nishan Sahib because of no langar?? Nope, there is a langar hall. But at the same time, no Nishaan Saheb.

Nirmal Singh Jr. did amazing kirtan. Baldev Singh Bulandpuri was good too. They are now doing Anand Saheb. Hopefully Satvinder singh comes on tomorrow, because if they already came on today I missed it.

It is a rather large paap considering that Akaal Takhat Maryada forbids kirtanee and katha vachak to perform at a Gurdwara with chairs in langar hall

Is that the paap you did? Yeah. doesn't seem like a lot but, it's against Akal Thakat Hukamnama.

About 5 years ago I committed very big paap. Sure I was only 15 at the time but, I can't wear this burden anymore. I need a way to erase this paap from my mind. I did kirtan at a gurdwara which contains chairs in the langar hall. What can I do? I need my mind at ease.

Hey, haven't talked to you in a while. Thanks again for that Gurdwara Dukh Nivaran link. They now have amazing video streaming with some great raagis.

Toronto and Calgary are the best. No chair problems in langar hall. Vancouver/Surrey is a joke with the chairs and stuff like that, although Dasmesh Darbar and the new Dukh Nivaran Gurdwara are full Sikhi Marjada

no i live in goraya. ludhiana is near only 30 km away. ya there is also very famous gurdwara sahib in ludhiana thats dukh niwaran sahib. Fateh Ji, Veer Ji, How old is the Gurdwara and where abouts in Ludhiana is it located? I'm too young to remember the last time I was in India, but the only Gurdwara Dukh Nivaran Saheb i've heard of is the one in Patiala. Also, do you know where Bhai Baldev Singh Balandpuri Wale does kirtan these days?

Sunny veer, do you live in Ludhiana? I have been to Gurdwara Dukh Nivaran Saheb in Patiala, is that different from the one in Ludhiana where Harcharan Singh Khalsa has duties?

Have you ever heard 'Satgur Aayeo Saran Tuhari' done by Bhai Saheb Ji?? UNBELIEVEABLE. I have it recorded on tape and will try to convert it to Cd and upload it.
