If I'm not mistaken the Singh who is pictured is actually still alive...

I have always loved Punjabi Lok Geet. I am proud of my families military background. And i embrace both my Culture (punjabi) and my Religion(Sikhi)...

...so why can't the rest of the Sikh community be prud that a Sardar is performing with some of the greatest musicians...

the title of this topic is misleading and gives misinformation. "sikhs fed to dogs" and " dogs feeding on a dead corpse" are two different things and hold distinct meanings. "sikhs fed to dogs" means a sikh being fed to a dog delibrately. thats why i call this as propaganda. serving reminders and spreading disinformation are two different things.

you too have assumed that i might be some hindustan supporter. i am a supporter of humanity and will always be. I have seen many posts on this very forum that openly spread hatred.

I say the same from my exprience with some sikhs in Canada, i have met sikhs in canada who dont know what happened in 1984. Sikhs dedicated to the cause are everywhere, in punjab and in the west. So saying more people in the west are aware is not completely correct.

Yes, certainly i do believe there are problems regarding the sate of SIKHI in punjab and in the west.

State of sikhi and the problem you pointed at are kind of interlinked..what do you think ??

Its a general, yet valid assumption based on my experiences with Sikhs from India. What makes me think Sikhs in foreign countries know more? Well the fact that rememberance rallies are held every year with big turnouts is one thing.

The problems maybe interlinked as you say, however the reference to the state of Sikhi within Hindustan came from you and not me, so am I right in saying that you do believe there are problems?

How do you know this ?? If sikhs living in foreign countires know a lot why don't they go to india and revive the sate of sikhi ?? why don't sikhs residing in these foreign contries go and represent sikhi ?? If their conscious is dead, why don't go and enlighten them with the knowledge you got ???

My reference was about the knowledge people in Hindustan possess about the atrocitites carried out upon Sikhs by the Indian Govt. I didnt mention the state of Sikhi there, however if you felt the need to coment on that then you must also agree things aint looking good.

Sikhs in Hindustan are becoming a lost cause, its ironic how more of the Sikhs living in foriegn countries know about the atrocitites yet those living where it happened dont seem to want to know.

After Bhai Beant Singh Ji drank the nectar of martyrdom his three children, Bhai Sarabjeet Singh, Bhai Jasvinder Singh and Bibi Amrit Kaur were kicked out of the school they used to attend. These three children were turned down at all government schools they applied to. Even the SGPC denied them education in Khalsa college! As a consequence of this all three children had to get a private education.

Today Bhai Beant Singh Ji’s sons live in Phase 5 of Sahibzada Ajeet Singh Nagar, Mohali. Their source of income is nothing more than the rent they receive from a room.

Bhai Beant Singh Ji’s family live in a financially weak situation.

First you have to gather the facts. Beant singh's children got their proper full education in a very good Sikh school in chandigarh area and even they were provided body guards. It's now their time to stand on their own feets. Shaheed beant singh's wife went into politics and made lot of money (not confirmed) as MLA but sadly she died by home washing machine incident (electric shock).

I read similar message/topic on other forums couple of years ago and now i can confirm that it seems to be a hoax by someone who is claiming to be shaeed beant singh's son emailing webmasters to help him. Don't fall for that.. Even if its true, i think sangat helped all they could but it's sikh duty to stand on their own after getting proper education etc..

No, you have got it wrong, Bhai Beant Singh's children were kicked out of their schools and SGPC totally neglected them, this has been confirmed by people who were close to the family.

I dont see why do you claim Bibi Bimal Kaur Khalsa made a lot of money when she went into politics then add your 'not confirmed' comment to it. As you talk about stating facts shouldnt you find out before making accusations?

As for the reason for her death, you couldn't be further from the truth.

How can they stand on their own feet when the ground from underneath them has been taken away? Bhai Kehar Singhs son finds it difficult to find employment becuase his father did the great deed of planning Indiras assassination. The 'help' you say sangat has given Bhai Kehars Singh's son is evident when in an interview he stated "the Sikh community doesnt care about us"

This is not only the story of Bhai Beant Singh, Bhai Satwant Singh & Bhai Kehar Singhs families, its the story of majority of the families whose sons, husbands and brothers gave their lifes for the Sikh Panth, and this is how we have repaid them thus far.

Actually this song was sung in the times of the Jujharoos, just disguised a bit, however the message was clear that it was reffering to the times were sikh kids were being killed in fake encounters. Jathebandis rewarded Hans Raj Hans with jeeps and money for singing this song.

Dont forget Deepas mother, she was a kharkoo in her own right too, she passed away few months back and this went unreported without any mention anywhere.

Deepa worked with some top Singhs in the days like Gen Labh Singh, and became a high ranking member under Panjwar faction of KCF. Deepa is also widely speculated as the man who killed chamkila. Its also said that Kulbeera was involved with Deepa when punished SHO Mann Singh in jalandhar.

After Deepas Shaheedi, in a feeble attempt to defame Deepa the police planted fake 'love letters' and a diary of girls names and numbers on him, however the locals didnt for one minute doubt the purity of the Singh and his intentions and the plan of the police failed miserably.

Even today, in the Doaba region of Punjab, Deepa is known as a folk-hero and whenever Singhs of the sangarsh are mentioned Deepas name always arises.
