Most of kavishris online are by the "UK" Jagowale Jatha, the other Jatha was Jagir Singh Mast, Sulakhan Singh Kalla, Nirmal Singh Chola Sahib & Jarnail Singh (Sabhran i think), they wernt known as Jagowala Jatha though, Jagir Singh Mast wrote a lot of the kavisris like Jago Aiya and Motorcycle Wahlay, and they were originally sung by Nirmal Singh Chola and Jatha, and Jagowale also sang the same stuff, Jagir Singh Mast, Sulakhan Singh, Nirmal Singh and Jarnail Singh's names are mentioned in the Jago Aiya track

Seems you dont quite understand the song dude, if you listen to it all including the intro to it you will know exactly what it means.

When you quote "LAMBHE KEESH TE DAAARIAN,hATH VICH TALWARAN" and "har ik sir te sajjian khatian dastaaraaaan" hes describing the Singhs and follows with "Dekh Kay Lagda Singh Sajeo Guru Gobind Day Nay" he's not talking about himnslef but instead of the Singhs.

As for copying 50cent, well Jazzy B's been wearing the Khanda chain before 50cent was even famous, so don't see how you came up with your 'copying' theory.

Sant Ji didn't trust Longowal but for the sake of unity did not speak out against Longowal either.

Longowal tried to compromise, a lot of the original demands were over-written and basically the Rajiv-Longowal accord was a watered down version of Anandpur Sahib Resolution. Before this accord was passed Longowal was killed by Jarnail Singh Halwara.

Morcha originally started to free Bhai Amrik Singh and Baba Thara Singh from prison, and then the morcha was adopted by Akalis and it was to continue until all demands of Anandpur Sahib Resolution had been met.

From speeches, i heard sant jee mentioning stuff about Sikh kids who can't have parents money if both parents passed away (like accident)... Is that still in action.. If if youth's parents passed away.. and the youth is under 17 then all his family money will be taken by government? only happens to Sikh kaum and is it still happening??

I also heard that sant jee said.. sikh 17 acre toh vaad jameen nahey leh sakda.. Sikh can't buy more than 17 acres.. I am not sure but i think sant jee did mentioned that in one of his speeches.. im sure that i heard something about 17 acres.. Now sikh can buy more than 17 acres.. one of my relatives had close to 100 before 80's and still got that land.. just curious to know that maybe sant jee meant sikhs can't buy land more than 17 acres outside of Punjab??.. I know there are restrictions on land purchasing for sikhs outside of punjab.. right?

These were most likely events which occured in them times and Sant ji was speaking out against them as to why is it only in the case of Sikhs these things happen

Mohan Singh Tur was an Akali leader and he took a big Kirpan into parliment and from then it was declared that the Akali leader can carry a 3foot kirpan of authority into parliment. Yassar Arafat was allowed to take a loaded gun into the indian parliment so why cant Mann take a Kirpan? When Mann planned to take the Kirpan, the idea was of Dyan Singh Mand (whose four brothers gave shaheedi for the movement and he also spent many years in prison), Mand was also a MP at that time and Mand was gonna take the kirpan in but the securtiy stopped him and said he isnt allowed, if Mann had gone in and left Mand behind i bet people would call him a Gadhaar and a push-over, espescially people like Kurtas and SP etc. SO Mann stood his ground and eventually had to give up his seat, or be a push over and he chose to give up his seat thats that.

But why make a big issue about it, why not accept it, its not as if it was a big deal.

Ultimately Mann is not a bad person, the only problem with Mann are the people around him, he does make bad decisions, in effect takes one step forward and two steps back. Now with Bittus support perhaps they can do something for the better of Punjab, I'd personally like them to join with Dal Khalsa, and as a united party give Badal's party a run for there money.

As For Shaheed Bhai Baldev Singhs family, do they want Manns help? i have mad respect for any Shaheed Baldev Singh Ji but if his family dont even like Sardar Mann, what can Mann do? Prabhjoyt Singh why did Mann give up his seat in parliament? After all the heartache the people of Punjab went through to put him there, for there voices to be heard, and he gave it all up and for what? The fact the security didn't allow him to take a 6ft Kirpan into parliament, is this a valid excuse? (note: Mann was allowed to enter with gatra Kirpan, however Mann wanted to take a 6ft one in also). Due to this the united Akalis broke up, and is why we have x number of factions today.

How did he use Shaheed Major Baldev Singh Ghuman? For a start he used Major Sahib's Shaheedi for his own political gains, to get more support, as Major Baldev Singh was a well known and loved member of Mann's party, Mann gave speeches like we will find and punish the culprits. He completely neglected Major Sahib's family, and this is not the only case. Jathedar Gurdev Singh Kaunke's Shaheedi is another example, of how Mann milked the oppurtunity for political gain.

As for Daljit Singh Bittu, only time will tell.

Valid point by Kurtas, the simple answer is Mann only needed Shaheed Major Baldev Singh Ghuman when he was alive, and when Major Sahib attained Shaheedi, Mann & other leaders took advantage and used the issue to gain more political momentum.

Also Mann was handed a seat in the parliament by the kaum, whilst he was sitting in jail, and given the oppurtunity to represent the people of punjab in parliament and let there voices be heard, however Mann made a big deal out of the kirpan issue and refused to enter and in turn gave up his seat and by doing so lost any chance there was to achieve justice for the people of punjab.

As for the merge, it may seem as a good thing but lets face facts SKD is a minor party with little support anyway.

Are the Sikh Federation only good for posting press releases on forums, do they actually DO anything?

The Federation are known to do one or two things - just read the 2003-04 and 2004-05 highlights booklets, about 40 and 60 pages respectively. Others are encouraged to do all they can to serve the Sikhs - why not issue press releases of your own?

Clearly some people were offended by my comment, although it is a genuine question and I still await a reply, one or two things in its 3 years of existence, would you care to elaborate?
