Only God knows when this will happen. Only God knows when the world was created and only He knows when it will end. People have been predicting the end for thousands of years now and...NOTHING HAPPENED! I think we should just focus on the present and be the best Gursikhs we can, and let Guru Sahib take care of the rest.

All great sikhs in the past like Bhai Sahib Randhir Singh Jee, Baba Attar Singh Jee have predicted about Khalsa Raj and said that its very near. I agree that only Akaal Purakh knows about the exact timing. I am not trying to act as some prophet here.

The industrial revolution is Maya and it will end, thats all I am saying. The world wont end but the industrial civilization will end. The earth can no longer sustain 6.5 billion people and all the pollution. This will lead to anarchy, resource wars, food wars, fuel wars, religious riots, rapes, murders.

People have made a great spiritual place(Maha teerath), Sri Amritsar Sahib into a commercial pollution centre, all this crap will end in the future.

I was wondering what is the need of Khalistan? , Well I know the whole background about 1984 and aftermath , and debates about Sikhs being unequally treated at different places etc etc. But its all leading to a very protesting-wing of Sikhism , I see young people wearing Singh Shirts/Hoods , idolizing Bhindrawale , and acting as if they are the warriors . I almost agree everytime I see atrocities on Sikhs anywhere in the world.

'But begging for a land and not winning it' is not something Sikhism does. Now a days Sikhs are becoming very insecure about their own identities and demanding separate rights and land for themselves like we are some oppressed African refugees (#!@). What good will it do for the Gurus ? , Will the land acquirement please the Guru? Our Gurus only told all reality is what we have perceived during our lives. All this demand for land I think has no divinity attached to it , its all very humanish . Any community in the world can start protesting for a land , it does not look good when I see my own Sikhs do it . I have always pictured the great martyrs as those who never begged or acted oppressed , they always had that victory within , and they never gave in , they fought for what is theirs.

At times even I have felt the need for a separate land (I hate the term Khalistan...) , but I just went through separate thoughts while in bed last night.And thought of sharing them with the Sangat. Please be open about it, any darn Sikh can start yelling about the need of Khalistan and all the emotions attached but does it serve the purpose of Sikhism , or the purpose for which this great dharma was blessed by our Gurus? I think not.

I suppose most people see it like this, why should we go on for so long for Khalistan? Fair enough! Some people really arent bothered about it. But i suppsoe what it really comes down to are the families that have actually been affected by this in some way. This could be like they have relatives suffering in india's jails right now as we speak, or they have lost a loved one because of 84. And i think thats what we dont realise. The people that want, need and deserve Khalistan the most are the ones who have been affected by it and need a change to happen! Most the youth these day thinks that if we get Khalistan then thats it, we're sorted, we got the homeland for the Sikhs. But no one thinks of the affected ones! And when they see the youth acting like this, it probabally breaks their hearts because most the youth havent got a clue about it. I think we should have Khalistan to support the victims of the whole 84 thing, there are more people affected by it than we think!

i agree-i always here ppl say they love being indian and that its in the past-but what do they knw-only those knw who have been through it-my father was kharkoo singh my family are torture victims i have an 18 yr old chacha who is shaheed.....its easy for people to say we want khalistan or we dont want it

waheguroo is the "taksali" gutka in pad ched of larevaar if it is in pad ched then hw can it be shudh as larevaar saroop was given gurgadi so we should be doing paat from larevaar gutkeh as maharaj is perfect were inperfect. about chaupai sahib being read completely i.e 27 pauira instead of 25, i say it should be 27 personally. waheguroo

Amritsar: The criticism of Akal Academy School by the Dal Khalsa for forcing the Hindu students to wear turban is politically motivated. This was stated by SAD (A) chief Simranjit Singh Mann while addressing mediapersons here today. He said nobody had the right to denigrate turban as it was the symbol of Sikhism and epitomised the Sikh glory.

Lashing out at Dal Khalsa, Mann said Kanwarpal was issuing such statements just to fulfil his selfish interests which were against the Sikh community. He said the Sikhs living in European countries were struggling to keep the tradition of turban alive and had managed to get permission in public places.He pointed out that there was nothing wrong in promoting turban as it gave a dignified look and was part of Indian culture. “Besides, every Sikh institution has right to protect and promote their religion and culture,” he added.

It is not about Guroo Sahib's forgiving nature, it is about the chardikalaa of Maharaj's sikhs, who cared about thier guroo more than their lives. To suggest that they would commit a kurehit to save their lives is sayign that they valued their lives over thier Guroo.

Satguroo is dayal yes, if he is dayal enough to forgive, then he is dayal enough to make a sikh bear the unbearable.

but Punjabi is still a majority Sikh state and has strength from the SIkh foundation and was built on a sikh foundaiton.

1. did manmohan singh do much for Punjab and were Sikhs very happy that he won or was he more just a sonia puppet and didnt really make any progress for Sikhs?

Also I think India did a great job by giving a Sikh the prime minister post, and majority, i actually think all people were happy cause hes a smart guy and many hindus look to Sikhs as brothers and culturally similar to other northern indians in diff states

when i was 5 yrs old i went to punjab...my dad was a kharkoo singh and now lives in uk...it was 1am and there were knocks at the gate. my bhua who was 18 and i was 5 had 2 jump over the wall and run through the village...no one opened their doors 2 let us in...in the end my grandad came 2 find us and tell us it was safe to return...u imagine urself in these ppls shoes bhaji and then u tell me..would u still want to be with india?????????the same country ur kaum sacrificed so many lives for, the same kaum which dhan dhan sahib sri guroo tegh bahadur ji maharaj gave his life so that hindu brothers could have the basic fundamental human right to follow their dharam....and the same government betray u??tell me bhaji...would u still want to be with india?
