Once when I went to the Philippines I had the opportunity to try this native food which they call Adobo. It is a chicken or pork dish, or a combination of both, that smells and tastes really wonderful. The pork or the chicken is sauteed in garlic and simmered in vinegar, sugar, pepper and soy sauce. It is then capped by adding laurel leaves which make the dish smell really good. It tastes very exotic, and ever since I have been eating adobo whenever I am in the company of my Filipino friends. My favorite Indian food though is still chicken curry.
