first 3 days (tues-5 to 7yrs/ weds-8 to 9 yrs & thurs 10 to 11yrs) starts @ 8.30am and ends at 3.30pm ish......
final day friday (12 to 18yrs) again starts @8.30am but this time ends @5pm.....
sat keertan darbar starts @6pm n ends 9pm ish
so that means camps starts in like less than 9 hours!!!
Maharaaj pls guide us and let us serve your beautiful children with love n nimrata

Mention the strands of "every child matters" framework, they'll go weak at the knees..... and catering for children where English is an additional language as well kids who are gifted n talened n for those who have special educational needs...... if that doesnt work u can put me down as a refernce n il say u worked in my class (for a nominal fee ofcourse)

The theme of the camp is Kes and the incredible Shaheedi of Bhai Taru SIngh Jee....

sweet little broji... hope ur in chardi kala.... if ur struggling most of the sewadars have cars so im sure we can arrange to pick u up..... since if ur planning on coming down tomorrow the bus service will be very limited due to the bank holiday.... in terms of walking.... if u can get to the train station walk up london road until u get to university road..... walk up university road rite til the end....its a looong road....... turn left onto welford road and then walk up til u get to ashford road..... im sure google can be of better assistnce! il see if we can post a map.....

Small Benti to Beautiful Sangat Ji
With Guru Ji's kind grace we are hoping to hold a Kids Sikhi camp over Easter hols (less than a fortnight!
)..... The theme of the camp is Vaisakhi based with strong focus on Panj Pyare n 5 K's.... It is aimed at young children from 5 to 12+ who will be grouped according to following categories (5-7, 8-9, 10-11 and 12 n ovrs).... Thus we need differentiated ideas for games and role play activities where the kids learn but do so in an enjoyable, memorable yet interactive way!!Any help will be greatly appreciated....

The sand-timer
When I came into this world the sand timer was upturned
The sand trickled through as each sunset burned
Childhood approached me, came and then went
It was lost in pathetic bickering, sibling jealousy and resent.
Youth had arrived but when I blinked it had passed
It was stolen by worries at school and then debts which had amassed
Middle age was lost in family tensions, attaining wealth and unnecessary pride
The sand was gathering and time was no longer on my side.
Old age crept upon me; with it came weakened vision and bodily aches
Alone, in a stream of tears I came to realise my mistakes
As the last grains of sand escaped I awoke from deep sleep
As a newborn I watched the sand timer turn and the golden sand begin to seep

For each of us and everyone of us....our sand is running out....

first step wud be sort out the curriculum... the teaching of Sikhism hardly comes up.... particualrly at primary level... ideally some of us Sikh teachers need to get together n rewrite that aspect of the curriculum (hands up....whose with me?!) and then address the reason why some schools think thats its okay for some children.... forgive me.... mainly children from the Islamic faith to be withdrawn from RE lessons.... thus most of these children leave primary school completely oblivious to other faiths n beliefs....forgive me for venting but the system needs work...then again i suppose u have to be in it to change it....

forgive me for the late response....iv been thinking about what 'muurakh (forgive me)' has said n whethr its okay to write our own poetry.... forgive me but i cant answer that... i hav no knowledge.... i am merely the dust of ur sweet charan.... i have too many avguns.... u selected a random poem from sikhpoems.com - tera darbar poem.... uhm i actually wrote that poem n if it comes across as wrong then i humbly beg the sangats forgiveness but can i pls try n explain how the actual poem came about.... in no way, shape or form was there any attempt to write my own 'bani'.... vaheguru.... i actually had tears in my eyes when i read that bit.... wen that poem came about....i was at a very dark n low place in my life... i didnt consciously sit there n think im gona write a poem... the words jus sort of came.... as a person i struggle to articulate my thoughts when it comes to speaking to othr people... i genuinely struggle... but wen i pick up a pen the words n feelings flow... forgive me again... after a few learned gursikh brothers n sisters read poems that had been written they wanted them to be accesible to sangat... i wasnt sure.... but after a few years with guruji's kind grace the project really came togethr in the form of www.sikhpoems.com.... the thought behind the site was to inspire those younger brothers n sisters who were at the beginning of their quest for Sikhi... nothing more than that.... if the general concensus of the sangat is that that the poetry is underming bani then pls pls pls forgive me and understand that that was nevr the intention and be rest assured the site will be shut down.... forgiveness for my endless flaws

sweet little broji...this is bullying n you dont have to put up with up...nobody does...you must tell a teacher...if your teacher fails to sort it out n the problem manifests then you need to tell your parents n get them to go into school....if things stil dont get sorted then pm us ur sangat n we can come down to ur school or speak to ur head via phone... little broji as a teacher myself... we really dont tolerate bullying but know that it happens in schools... forgive me for saying this but lots of the 'bullies' have serious issues themselves and sometimes they vent their anger out on others....forgive me again but in some cases it can be a cry for help...pm me little broji...forgive me for my endless flaws
