  1. Waheguru Guru Ji Ka Khalsa,

    Waheguru Guru Je Ke Fateh!!!

To become a saint-soldier means you have to become the saint first, hence the saint goes before the soldier. So picking up weapons or associating yourself with any type of violent means before becoming a saint is a very dangerous position one is putting him or herself in. Become empty like the saint, and only then can you be a saint soldier. Like Bruce Lee said, “Become water my friend.” Become nothing. This is because the job of a saint soldier is one with many complications and if you haven’t reached that stage of nothingness, then it’s merely impossible to manage. No wonder why many revolutions fail. Those running these rebellions fail to either educate the masses, or are corrupt themselves. In failing to educate the masses, this will just put power from one group into the hands of another group. As those who organized the revolt die off, the remaining individuals will take advantage and establish their own rule, again putting a strain on the poor. And those who are corrupt and lead revolutions, well everyone knows their fate. Thus, the key to our success is to become Saint-Soldiers. Become a Lotus sitting on top of water. The whole water represents this world, and the Saint sits on top of it. And yet if you take a good look at the lotus, there is not much within it, and it is empty. Like Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale said, “We hav

e to unite and become one, if we want to survive.” Look at Jews for example, they control much and are very powerful. And they’re a small group, a fact similar to us. Why they have so much power is because they are smarter than us and don’t fight each other. If one Jew needs help the other will lend a hand. Our people will show off their flashy cars at the Gurudwara, look down on other Sikhs as their on top and walk with so much pride that it’s coming out of their <admin-profanity filter activated>. Excuse me for my frustration, but this is not grade school. This is the truth. The way Guru Gobind Singh Ji wanted us to be is the opposite of what we are becoming. Become educated about the time you live in. Realize and set up a guard against your true enemies. Unite and free the Sikh nation. Don’t depend on anyone or anything. Become something yourself. A lot of people right now are wishing or think that Sant Jarnail Singh will come back. Whether he does or does not is an entirely different question. But the key point here is you have a duty to carrier out, so don’t depend on a leading figure. Fall to the feet of Guru Ji, and ask him to give you a hand in continuing the fight that Sant Ji started. Stop fighting on the net or face to face. UNITE!!! Become the lotus and then master the art of arms. And then fight.....

    Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa,

    Waheguru Je Ke Fateh!!!

    Waheguru jio!

    Welcome to the post! ^_^

Great post i would 100% have to agree wit u on that. It wouldnt sound rite to be a soldier first and than a saint. Thats why we say saint-soldier not soldier-saint... rolleyes.gif

Paaji here, seems like hes a saint first and also a soldier...

  2. Waheguru ji ka khalsa,

    Waheguru ji ki fateh!

Sadh Sangat jio, forgive me if i ask anythin in the following dat some wont find rite ... but i was just wondering and thinking about it for a while so i reli wanted to ask the sangats view.

It hasnt been long since i took amrit, about almost 2 years in april. And i have been going to kirtan programs (akj raensbais) and all. When it is time for kirtanees to do kirtan, some get more time than others and some get less. Or in other words, some want more time than others and or because they are really good would want more time. Some even say, ohh i didnt get enough time and so on...

I dont know if i should be saying this but towards the young soles out there doing the kirtan, doesnt this bring ego within us. Rather than concentrating on guru ji, and singing wit the sadh sangat jio, its like ur doing the kirtan for show ...

I have heard too many times amongst kirtanees, that were complaining on not getting enough time, and complementing themselves on how nice there voice is...

Is this wat guru ji looks at ??

Also another thing is, just a normal question... Do u guys think one should know the full meaning of a shabad before we actually sing it in kirtan ? Wouldnt it make sense to ...

Sorry jio if i have said anythin wrong... rolleyes.gif

Bollywood = EWWWwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww YUCK.. and SAME ON ppls who watch em.. Damn GET A LIFE !!!.. IT'S DISGUSTING, i rather spend my time counting stars than watching neverending kurimunda bander dancing bollywood freaks.. and sometime i think they are not from this planet :|

    Regarding sikhs and bollywood .. All i can say is :g :g :v :v

  4. It doesn't really matter if its Waheguru, Vaheguru, Vaheguroo, or Waheguroo, or even Ram, Gobinde, Allah.

All depends on with how much love do you say it? If you say it with more love, the more Waheguru ji will be inclined to listen! :) Not by what you call him!

    My two cents!

    Waheguru ji!

That is what some dont understand...

All your life you will be thinking of about how you wanna do this how u wanna do dat ... but actually wont do what is said by waheguru ji... is dat of being one wit him.

Waheguru ji (as mentioned by khalsa ji) has many names... only wit love and devotion he will be there.

My .68 rupees (approx 2 cents) ... haha got this from my brother sunny ji!

  5. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa!

    Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!!

bhagbhan, it hink my mom and dad made me watch that movie

is it the one with the dad, and his bad sons, and he has this good adopted one or something?

Well, its good to respect your parents, because they raise u, and they were choosen to bring u into this world

But, that movie was like parents are god, etc, etc

    WHICH IS PURE LIE!

and please dont go looking for gurbani lines regarding parents, because

tum mat pita hum barik tere

    That says enough.

God is our true mother and father, and we are his child

ANyways, noone, except for satguru je and someone who has merged into vaheguru, can ever be up to the level of vaheguru.

    Nobody

ANd, youre supposed to love everybody equally

    Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa!

    Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!!

    Waheguru ji!

Just want to say great post Khalastani veerji. Btw mandeep, this guy i think he said he is 12 years old ... ^_^

Just to add to his post... even though gurbani says that our parents are the one and only waheguru ji... but it also doesnt tell us that we shouldnt respect our own parenst. By respecting our own

in that only way we will achieve the true blessinghs or waheguru ji.

    Gurdev Maata

    Gurdev Pita

    Gurdev Swami Parmeshwara

But yes i totally agree with you that waheguru ji is our real father/mother. But i just wanted to post this just in case ppl start hating there parents and dont care about them and stuff.... just to clarify... rolleyes.gif

  6. Bhenji, believe me there are people maybe not sanjay dutt but other indivuals who are clever with their mouths but not so sharp on their toes! lol

When i mention the jews and muslims, take a look at the media, and see if you can the last time somebody openly joked about jews or muslims?! I mean on an open public stage in front of the whiole nations media! it would be suicide for their career!

Same for black people, just take a look at the media again, look how carefully they word everything! just in case they say something to upset the black community! 'Sikhs are dumb' is a common joke, but the same joke is also often used against black people, can you imagine Brad Pitt joking about 2 black guys who couldnt play chess?!!? not a chance!

I agree belive im totally against the caste system as well, i hate it. However when most people think of sikhs in india they think farmers. Very few sikhs in india have jobs in industry or factories, while some do drive trucks! these are common stereotypes which we grow up with. There are plenty of highly educated sikhs in punjab and india, (esp when it comes to chess it seems!) but where are the jobs for them? most will just return to farming even after having studied! There are many theories as well explaining why sikhs have become such an alcoholic consuming people, some political others social. The fact that like you said punjabi songs only s

eem to sing about girls drinking and fighting is just furthering the stereotype. Which is negative to sikhi.

The following you may or may not agree with, and sorry to sound rude but if anybody is offended by this, pls i dont really care!

This is why the singer 'Chamkilla' and Mr Golden Star Malkit Singh where targetted by the Kharkoo Singhs in the 80's (after numerous warning i must add). Chamkilla was shot dead for his rude songs and Malkit escaped on 2 occasions and finally fled to England!

Maybe you think that is extreme, but those were extreme days!

Look at what we show goreh when we invite them to a 'sikh' wedding, we tell them nothing about the lavaan, but we tell them that we have a massive party after with free alcohol!! then we wonder when they get confused about wether or not we can drink alcohol.

We need to challenge these stereotypes both internally and externally, at one kids gurmat camp some kid was wearing a 'puth jattan de' tshirt, funnily enough he was in a group that a talk on caste! lol the kid asked permission to go home and change his tshirt cus all the other kids were laughing at his castist tshirt!

To be honest this is just the tip of the iceberg of the kinda crap we get thrown at us that we just let slip!

I found an old NHSF (national hindu students forum) magazine today, i'll post up some of the stuff from there another day and we can discuss that, its even endorsed by the navy, natwest bank etc!

But this is funny, seriously can u imagine that wicked chess player whippng his <admin-profanity filter activated> at chess, then giving him a proper whack with his chappal! lol :) put that on your front page! lol

    Waheguru!

    Sorry bro was

busy laughin at Sunny paajis post... i saw urs after. RELI GREAT POINTS... all should read... ^_^

    bhul chuk maph!

  7. I must say this thread is quite funny! It's amazing how one comment by Sanjay Tutti has stirred up so much controversy on a Sikhsangat.com forum!

I laughed when I read that quote and to an extent I agree with it. Like come on, majority of SIkh's in India are uneducated "Jatts"! Do you honestly think they can play chess? *L*

You people are over-reacting. I expected a few posts condemning his comment. A few people here suggested Sanjay Tutti was being racist. Look up the official definition and let me know if it applies here. tongue.gif

Mandip is right, we don't know what context he made that statement in, but it's not racism..

THis statement by the guy who started this thread cracked me up the most -> "Just getting the awareness that this has happened. Planning for appropriate steps to take against this are already being considered, with priority to Sikh organizations in India to take action and empower the Sikhs there to do something."

This is a SikhSangat forum my fellow Singh's/Kaurs, not a forum where you defend/bash an actor who can't act.

LEt's keep Bollywood where it belongs - in the gutter and talk about real issues. He made a comment, so what? He works for Bollywood, don't take it so s

    eriously. tongue.gif

  8. ok some things ur rite, but im not a fool if thas what ur trying to call me

u nevr knw, it could b a political thing

but the thing bout sikh;s being "jatts who drink fite n drink" not only other religions c us as that but our own ppl as well

when u look at punjabi songs, what r they always singing bout?

obviously "jatts" gettin drunk n drooling ovr women

im puttin the word "jatt" in quotes cuz i strongly do NOT belive in this whole caste system, i jus wnated to knw what ur opinions on that were? u only mentioned "jatts", r u trying to say that only sikhs r "jatts"? cuz if thas what ur saying, u jus made a racist comment rite there, sikhs do not believe in caste system so i dun understand y u wrote "jatts"

sory for chnagin topic tho but ya

    k n also

ya ur rite, muslims n jews do try n get their point across, but that still doesnt stop all thsoe jks aobut them, nor white ppl jokes, or black ppl jks, or even blonde jks

and by givin someone beats, doesnt solve a problem

by doing that, its just showing us SIKHS as ppl who r causing fites over issues and every1 will get the wrong idea

but if we get to every1 y we r upset, then they will become aware

by beating up sanjay dutt, we will not get our point across and they will have another thing to say bout sikhs, lie and say that we start fites for no reason, and then this issue will not get across to every1

    Waheguru!

Sister you have made nice comments here... and i would like to say i agreew wit u on the 'caste' part. Also kinda on the whole issue on the Dutt part. Well ok we shouldnt go ahead and make things worse by beating the guy up but we can get him to realize what he had said, if he had, that it was wrong....

... at least we can get our part through. And ya good post... keep it up! rolleyes.gif

  9. I'm sure we have laughed white, black, oriental, brown jokes but when jokes hit close to religon they are no longer jokes. So I don't understand what you mean by double standard.
well said :@ coz all others jokes could be offensive but jokes on religion are purely blasphemous :v :g

Oh damn ... i agreed to ROchak ji :) ... sorry forgot to mention ... rolleyes.gif

  10. Waheguru jio!

Wow, didnt know the topic i started would go dis long... reli good views sangat ji.

I myself live in brampton and i know what some of u mean about malhi ji how he wouldnt be a 'good' representative. Well we cannot all be good representatives. Like paaji said before we need one of the chardi kala singhs in there, like who can represent sikhi well.

Politics is a very VERY horrible thing. It can take over a man/women just like dat. IT gets so into a person that you wont be able to know where your standing and may start doing stupid stuf. There are many examples of this in india which have been happening in the past as some of u have mentioned.

If this guy can represent sikhs, and stand up for them, it would be awesome. Because believe me or not, some areas around ontario some people started to know who sikhs are because of malhi and Bhatia. (I SAID SOME... lol ...)

This is just my two cents. I know money is everythin in this polotics world, but if there are any good chardi kala singhs out there wit the complete image and nature of guru ji, we should be doing more and more seva.

SOry if i have said anythin wrong,

    bul chuk maph jio!

  11. Waheguru jio!

Jio, watever im about to say is just my two cents and dont take it to max.

I was just reading some of the points all u have made, and all make sense. But veerji here got a prashada from a non-amritdahri person... nothin wrong wit dat if she had touched it...

We have to think... common sense... do u reli think guru sahib would be unhappy wit us if we do. I would understand if we go to a all meat place and someone serves somethin there... lol ...

But this is just a bibi giving a vege dish of our beautiful prashadai we have everyday at gurdwaras.

Here are some examples you all may want to also have as inpurity:

My parents are non-amritdhari, i myself am one, would dat make it unpure if my mom gave me roti and she touched it ?

In Guru Nanak Dev Ji's Jeevan, im pretty sure most of u heard a lot of sakhis but a lot of sakhis evolving guru ji around him and his sevaks. He went to all his peoples houses, and took watever offering they had to give... wit love! Is this jootha too ?

IN the gurdwara we have the langar made by bibian and admi... touched again dont all have to be necessarily amritdhari... jootha ?

Sangat jio, we have to think about what we are jsut wasting our time and arguing back... :)

  12. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa!

    Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!!

why is there timez where u feel sooooooo low..i mean in sikhi...just don't feel like doing anything...when u're doing daily paath..u just can't concentrate..itz like u're not doing anything at all...

i duno y...but i used to get reallllyy motivated in sikhi...but now...itz just different...y is this happening to me?? i'm sure there are many out there who might be facing the same thing as i am...

    i just can't concentrate...even when doing simran...

i want to do paath..i wan to be with guruji all the time...but i just can't do it...n i dunno y...

sumtimes just feel like doing this -> :@ @

well...i guess this might be part of life...n just hope that things will change..

    Waheguru jio!

Jash paaji no offence rite... but in your previous post you were talkin about if it is rite or wrong to listen to music, dance to it, watch movie etc....

And here you are saying how your mind is not focused... and that is very true... BUT... there is always somethin, at least 1 problem in everyone that kujug puts on us so we cant concentrate...

And in your case it maybe the music, and dancing that is

distractin u from your naam bani... it is a given fact taht one who goes to a party hall and gets mixed there for a nite and the next day u goto a rainsbai for a all niter... u will remmeber the same songs over and over .. about girls, well girls, girls, girls... its all about the same thing nowadays. So its just common sense is this helping us.... i know its hard to stay away... it sounds so good.... dont u think its made somehow to sound soo good.... hmmmm :T: ... kaljug! hahaha

There are many distractions, and i think this is one of MANY! Any Bhai sahibs here who can link some bani up.... Its 920 got a midterm at 10 :) ... lol!!

Hope this helps a little..... rolleyes.gif

  13. Waheguru jio!

I myself being a Canadian citizen am amazed to see a sikh person running for senate. This is wicked in my behalf, where at least a little the msg can go across to america and maybe finally people would be looking at us differently, and not calling us a part of any other group but as 'SIKHS'.

I know some people mite here say ohh dis is all political no need to get into this or no this wont get our name out... but this guy i think has the skill and knowledge and i would encourage anyone from that area to also support him... you vote is goin to someone init ? rolleyes.gif

Lets have some sangats view on this.......

  14. WJKK WJKFateh!

Here in toronto, I'm beginning to see this new "trend", I saw this guy, had a gole dastaar, then had a long patka tied around it, is it ok to do that? Cuz, I'm seeing this on a couple of people with dastaars.

Just wanted to know why they do it (if anyone knows), and if you think its ok to do it.

    WJKK WJKFateh!

Here in Uk , in my town i am seeing similar trend. Two of my pugh wearing friends now sorta do the jura like a pony tail and tie patka.

    sorta like this guy

    gubi-big.gif

HAHA i can't see the person head.. it's like nothing up there lol.. Black patka/bandana with black background.. certainly not a good choice ...

    No offense

looks funny to me...sorry tongue.gif no offense intended. :@

btw have yall seen singhs who are old enough to be tying a dastaar but they still wear a patka???? i dont wanna be mean here but it does look weird and funny....when i see such a singh on the street, even i feel like bursting out laughing looking at something round popping outta his head.....no wonder why non sikhs like to make fun of such grown up singhs then. hmmmm juz my two cents...no offense folks.!!! sorry if i ruffled any feathers around here. :D

    Waheguru jio!

LOL ... u will c plenty of those singhs in india... tongue.gif

    Again no offence.... :)

  15. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa!

    Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!!

I do not agree that by wearing any specific colour, the intensity of any kind of feelings decreases or increases.

All natural colours are part of KUDRAT like our blood which is RED so is it full of KAAM ? Trees (most) are Green , r they belongs to Muslium only ?

I am not against any Rehitnaamaa but Sadh Sangat Jee try to understand the time period under which all these Rehitnamama and Dasam Granth were written, the time of wars. The chances for dilution in these writings were high , as per my little  knowledge this was one of the reasons why Guru Gobind Singh Jee did not kept his own bani in SGGS Jee. Earlier also in one of the posts it was said that as per Rehitnaama eating ONION is not allowed.  I think we need to think abt these kind of things.
