You just throw around his name like it is nothing...Learn your history about one of Sikhis Greatest Heros then talk. ...so your telling me its wrong to call a gurudwara: Baba Deep Singh gurudwara or Sant Bhindranwale Gurudwara dont get me wrong there are a lot of gurudware called ramgharia that are aimed at caste but there are others that celebrate the legacy of Sardar Jassa singh. And boy 90% of Ramgharias dont believe in caste, i know because i am one and i dont shout it from the heavens 2 let everyone know because its all bull. neither does anyon i know...so yaar dont asume things because it offends people. Mr Dholi, i know very well my history, but justify using Ramgharia in the name of a Gurdwara? BTW - I've never heard of a Sant Bhindranwale Gurudwara before. Using a name of of a sardar who has faught for sikhi is no bad thing. It doesn't realy bother me beacuse a gurudwara is a gurudwara...aslong as i can find peace it fine oh and heres a pic of one of the bhindranwale gurudware

Sardarji you are the first person on here to talk sense. Das Ram Rauni Singh..why is it that every post to do with GNNSJ, RAMGHARIAS or East African singh..the post always starts wit you displeaser towards them. GNNSJ is NOT a caste based gurudwara. all kinds of people go there...apart from the militant ones because you can actually find peace at GNNSJ. GNNSJ is helpin th ebirmingham community, it has a centre for excellence, new school facilities, a learn direct centre etc. and if you opened your eyes you will see that the sangat is made up of all kinds of people. I did a little reasearch beacause militant people like you realy get on my nerves. i would jus like to clarify that i dont belive in caste one bit. i went out to 5 gurudware in birmingham (GNNSJ, SMETHWICK, BEBE NANAKI, SOMERSET ROAD GURUDWARA and BABA DEEP SINGH GURUDWARA). i asked the sardarji's who had amrit. what caste they came from..even if they didnt agree with it. my findings were 48% Ramgharia 39% Jatt 10% Saini 2% AKJ followers 1% didnt know that was out of 527 people.that shows that a lot of the UK Khalsa is made up of "Ramgharias". So you can say all you want about starched Pagha, Shaved beards etc...thats just what your blinkered eyes see. the reality is Ramgharias make up around 50% of the sangat. someones got alot of time on their hands :D hahahaha .. well i dont realy have a lot of time,..it just annoys me when people start bullying and degradeing people when they dont understand anything

I just wanted to clear up what i mean by militant..in my eyes a militant sikh is a person who has been brainwashed to think a certain way and will never accept anyone elses views of opinions. i don't know bout all this ak47 crap but i dont consider that militant seeing as back in punjab i have them myself. i would still like to find out why some people disagree with it? as i said before..im not here to argue i want to hear your views.thank you

Right now..i know my history of punjab...and i dont care if people dont like punjabi music, the reason i made this topic is to find out. WHY people have a problem with a sardar doin so called "marasi" thing, eg sing boliyan, play dhol etc. Narinder ji think u misundestood why i posted this... i wasnt looking for an arguement..i wanted 2 know why. And when i say militant singh i meant people who have been brainwashed to the degree that they cant believe anything else other than what they have been "programmed" 2 believe.

I just wanted 2 know what is up with Militant Singhs against people like me Embracing my Punjabi Heretage. Such as singing Boliyan, Playing Dhol, Tumbi, Baja, algogey etc. Militant Singhs have always come upto me and said "You shouldn't be doing that"and have NEVER EVER given me a reason why. Ill give you a little insight to what i do. I am an 18 year old, Birmingham Based musician. I play Dhol, Dholak, Baja, Tumbi, Guitar and Drum Kit. I have always loved Punjabi Lok Geet. I am proud of my families military background. And i embrace both my Culture (punjabi) and my Religion(Sikhi). Now, why do 99% of people that i have met disagree with what i do? i don't see anything wrong in what i am doing. My parents and grandparents are proud of hat i am doing.....so why can't the rest of the Sikh community be prud that a Sardar is performing with some of the greatest musicians. Its got to the point where 1 militant Singh came up 2 me and said "You are no longer a child of Sikhi...you're a Marasi". After geting a bit physical he knew I wasnt 1 of those easily brainwashed youngsters who believe that punjabi culture is pure evil. See now i do see my self as a marasi.. because my life is dedicated to music...but the wy that singh ment it was like sayin i am no longer a Singh because i lovePunjabi culture,im sorry but i couldn't live my life without my punabi culture.i dont think people understand that sikhi isnt their culture...itts only part of their culture, punjabi culture has to ft into their life somehwhere but they dont allow it to.what s wrong wit punjabi culture..why do people find it evil.why does the comunity have a problem with a sardar embracing his punjabi hertigate that flows though his veins?..someone please let me know what is wrong with the militant brainwashed community because there is nothing wrong in what i am doing.

Okay 1st of all,why does every militant person always asume that all Ramgharias act the same...that is being castist on its own. I am from a Ramgharia family but dont believe in caste at all. We dont go Ramgarhia gurudwara, we go Guru Nanak Nishkam Sewak Jatha, and befor any of you militant singhs jump up ..no it isn't a Ramgharia gurudwara. 1.Ramgharia Gurudwaras do hold amrit sanchars..imfact the fist Amirt Sanchar in the UK was Held at Ramgharia Gurudwara in Birmingham. 2.No ramghria i have evr me has eer said they worship a Hindu god.ffs use your heads man. 3.they are a means of income for the gurudwara.Okay it might not be the nicest way but its a way nevertheless. 4.no one ever says ramgharia quam. EVER. 5. Actually mate, all of my cousins do gatka. At the local ramgharia gurudwara they teach gatka. a Lot of ramgharia familys have military backgrounds and are prud of their military background. 6. Just explain to me ..why do i need to wear a dhummala to be part of a sikh sangat? 7. Started Pagha started off in punjab, people used them on there thurley (fan on ther pagh.....look at my pictue of you're still confused) and ramgharia sardars found it easier in africa o starch their phaa as the had to either be up early to work on the railway or Be ready for the British army. 8. ....y do the Khalistani's belive in Bhindranwala...again where do you get your info, no one belives in sants. 9. this is getting stupid...stop putting all ramgharias in the same basket. 10...i know lots of ramgharias who are for khalistan..im not...but i know countless people who do. at the end of the day, yes there are going to be those select few who are goin to promote caste but ffs not all people are for it.
