well the bottom line is no type of meat is acceptable to be consumed.. either it can beef, chicken, fish, pork, etc etc... well as for our parents saying dat we cant consume beef but its ok to consume other meat, its just a thing that has been practised in punjab. So they just sorta follow it..

....we obey rehat to improve our jeevni and not to fulfill any requirement of SGPC or something... every tuk in guru granth sahib ji is rehat and slowly we shall try to obey every HUKAM...

i admit..amritvela ....i thouht it was easy...now most of the time...i can;t get up
