When you ask the panj pyare questions, can you ask in English?

Depends on which group of Singhs within the Jatha are doing the seva, in the UK there are some Singhs who lag in the panj pyare who are born in the UK and therefore do speak English but in an Amrit Sanchar the instructions and discussion/questioning is generally done in Panjabi.

There is rehat maryada katha available on gurbaniupdesh by Giani Thakur Singh who goes into the maryada of what should happen in an amrit sanchar, only the Puratan Sampardai e.g. DDT observe all of the maryada e.g. holding 3ft kirpan when making amrit, questioning the panj pyare amongst the sangat etc.

I agree. Also find a panj piyaraay that follow maryada and know how to use shastar, and don't just play dress up with bana which many do unfortunately!

I heard that some panj piyaraay give a special naam dhrir. Also, you're right, panj piaaray should not encourage khulla maas and instead should encourage jhatka and hunting as part of maryada,

You had an objection yet you say the contrary statement that all panj follow same maryada??? This is an interesting take on this issue from Ranjit Singh. I don't agree with everything in this video, but somethings are true.

I can't stand this guy, complete sell out like Darshan Laal et al, now just a politician  - couldn't even watch 10 minutes before I had to shut it off.

He tries to make a point that there should be one maryada but what makes  his version of that one maryada the truth?

The puratan sampardas can back up their maryada with rehtname and sine-basine passing down of sookham rehats - this guy doesn't even believe in Akhand Paath Sahibs done with maryada that comes in ithihaas because he's now a missionary they don't believe in ithiaas.

  4. I posted this in the post about Lord Indarjit but it's relevant here too:

The Global Sikh Council are die hard missionaries who aim to create a Sikh authority separate from the Akal Takht outside of India.

There are a group of Singhs in Malaysia who brought this to the attention of some of the Singhs here in the UK.

If you go on the GSC website and click on Council Info > Member Countries and Organizations you will see under the UK the member organisation is 'Network of Sikh Organisations' and guess who the Director of this organisation is? Yep it's our very own Laardy Laard - 'Lord' Indarjit Singh (http://nsouk.co.uk/management/)

Want more proof that the organisations and gurdware under this 'Global Sikh Council' are hardcore missionaries? Go to it's USA linked organisation page which is the 'American Sikh Council' and here you will see the books they recommend for children are written by the likes of Dilgeer and the Sikh Missionary College (https://americansikhcouncil.files.wordpress.com/2017/04/books-on-the-sikh-faith-for-children.pdf)

One of the 5 objectives per the constitution of the Global Sikh Council is "To follow the Rehat Maryada (Sikh Code of Conduct) passed in 1945 by the SGPC and none other (http://www.globalsikhcouncil.org/wp-content/uploads/2014/11/150801_GSC-Constitution_By-laws.pdf)

This GSC is a collection of sikh bodies from all around the world. Their UK affiliate is the Network of Sikh Organisations of which this Lord Singh is the head, and his wife, Kanwarjit Kaur is the vice principal of the GSC. They are all in it together.

  6. Breaking News: Sarbat Khalsa Resolutions (in English)

Mata1: Gurbachan Singh et al. have been relieved of their duties. New Jathedars appointed including Bhai Jagtar Singh Hawara, Bhai Amrik Singh Ajnala, Bhai Baljit Singh Daduwale

Mata 2: KPS Gill and KS Brar have been deemed “tankheeye” (guilty) for their role in Sikh Genocide

Mata 4: Faqr-E-Qaum & Panth Ratan titles have been taken away from Badal, and Makkar is relieved from his title.

Mata 5: Starting from November 30 2015, there will be a pursuit for an International Sikh Parliament.

Mata 6: Denounce desecration and punish perpetrators who do Beadbi of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji.

Mata 7: Free political prisoners from Punjab and other struggles such as Kashmir.

Mata 9: Unite for struggle, and not divide.

Mata 10: Solidify a sovereign Sikh calendar.

Mata 11: Keep Darbar Sahib sovereign with everyone having the right to visit.

Mata 12: Gurmatas are binding to all Khalsa.

Mata 13: End casteist divisions in Sikh culture and faith practices, as well as other malpractices such as pollution.

Can someone explain Mata 2 - how can KP Gill and Brar be tankhaye, this implies they are/were part of the panth? They were responsible for the killing of thousands of our Singhs.

If they ask for forgiveness, what, we will give them a punishment and then forgive them??

Please see details of a programme to be held next Saturday in the Midlands.

We urge as many of you from across the UK/Europe to attend to learn and share our love for Bhai Rajinder Singh Mughalwala who has sacrificed the last two and a half decades for upholding the respect of Siri Guru Granth Sahib Jee and putting an end to the sacrilege undertaken by the evil 'Sachkhand Nanak Dham' cult.

  9. I was not unhappy with anything.

Panj has told me to marry an amritdhari and now maharaj has told me to marry someone who is not amritdhari.

Mate you're high. I can't believe this is warranting a response from all of us. Basics of being an Amritdhari is that you MUST marry an Amrtidhari - the Anand Karaj is only for Amritdharis though everyone does it.

Why you even questioning the basic principals of being Amritdhari, if you had next gyal in mind who you knew wasn't Amritdhari but wanted to marry her then you shouldn't have took Amrit or you should have divulged that information when you were infront of the panj.

Also, a Hukamnama from maharaaj is open to interpretation. You won't find the answer you want on this forum, what you will get is told you're cuckoo for asking stupid questions.

  10. I don't remember or recall anything about Guri Ji asking Bhai Sahib Singh, Bhai Dharam Singh, Bhai Himmat Singh, Bhai Mokam Singh and Bhai Daya Singh to bring their wives, before they could take amrit or telling them their wives should now take amrit.

My mistake 'Singhshaster'. It completely slipped my mind that you were actually there on that date to know what happened once Satguru Paatshah gave amrit and then asked for it himself and then the whole sangat took it too. Apologies.

Hopefully you have sensed my tone.

An absolutely ridiculous reply. Naam 'Singhshaster' rakhya ah, gallan missionary walia karda.

You think on that day only the 5 were given amrit, read ithiaas mate before you post stupid replies.

Its standard procedure that you take amrit with your partner if you're married, if your partner isn't ready then the hukam of the panj if they wish to give you armit is that your abstain from any relationship with your partner until he/she is amritdhari which includes effing kissing each other - it's clear cut. If you wanna go galavanting arround kissing non-amritdharis even though you're amritdhari then that's on your head. But don't advocate that bullsheet on this forum.

  11. what a ridiculous post.

If your panj have given you a hukam, then why you asking again from Guru Sahib, it's as if you're unhappy witht he hukam of the panj in which case you shouldn't have gone to the panj in first place!

  12. simple answer - no.

you're amritdhari, she's not. Therefore by kissing her you will have done a sucham galti, regardless of her being your wife.

I'm surprised the panj gave you amrit without asking your wife to be present unless you were amritdhari before and married her after, in which case you were wrong to marry a non-amritdhari.

too many liberal people who post on this forum that tell you there's nothing wrong with this kind of stuff.

anand kaaraj is only for amritdharis, that should set a few people off.
