There is a program in Coventry on that night and the Gurdwara and sevadars organising were aware but its difficult nowadays to find any weekend where a program is not organised. AKJ organised divaans take up 2 weekends out of 4 every month so thats 50% gone, then there are other major programmes including the Sikh Federation Conference on the 16th and a programme for the three singhs who passed away last year on the 23rd.
GNG Sedgley St celebrate Guru Granth Sahib jee's pehla prakaash divas every year but this year they wanted to raise awareness for 2008 and make the programme bigger.
As said above by mod, please contact the Gurdwara if you have any more concerns about this.

There was no official Atam Ras UK Keertan Darbaar in 2006. I believe the official ones in the UK are organised by Kirtan Seva UK
However, there were a few programmes entitled Atam Ras 2006 UK last year - if you can tell me when and where the divaans you are after took place, we might be able to find them. I believe one of the sevadars does have the keertan from a Wolverhampton divaan where Bibi Baljit Kaur Khalsa was also present. Is this the Atam Ras you are on about?
Another one was as follows :

BBC have been looking back to the era of 1947 this month and have a series of programmes running regarding the partition.
Today (saturday 11th August) BBC Radio 3 hosted a special hour long "Keertan From Harimandir Sahib" session with some interviews etc as well.
Quite nicely constructed, apart from repeated references to Guru Jee as a "Holy Book" which was a little upsetting. However, the keertan was quite beautiful...
Please listen to the recording by clicking on http://www.sikhroots.net/audio/Lectures/BB...0Interviews.mp3
Enjoy

Saadh sangat jee, a Gursikh from the UK has been planning to release a Youth Gurbani Handbook for free distribution amongst the world. He has found distributors in nations far as Australia and before he finishes it off, he is giving you all the chance to have your input and offer any seva you can do which would be beneficial to the overall production of the book.
Please either use this thread for constructive criticism, or contact Jinni Khalsa on the email provided in the poster.
The aim is that this book can be carried by youths in their pockets and they can use it for reference when times are good or bad, or that they can spend any spare moments reading instead of wasting valuable breaths that Maharaj has bestowed upon us. There will be no Gurmukhi or Gurbani imprinted in the actual book itself. The project relies on English explainations of Gurbani related to different issues youths are encountering in society today.
Sevadars such as Akaal Media and sangat from around the locality of West Midlands have already helped on this project which is now awaiting your input and blessings.

Its been about 5 years since this legendary keertani was in the UK and this may be his last time so dont miss this chance. I dont think there are many more divaans planned in the Midlands so please do attend the Wolverhampton divaans.
