  1. ?? Sangatji what's everyones views on taking Maharaj to and from the Gurdwara to a paath at someones house? And what's the correct Marayada? I've always understood Maharaj needs to be accompanied by 5 Amritdhari Singhs at all times with and Ardas before leaving and then again when returning at the Gurdwara and same for arriving and leaving the destination. However, sadly, it seems some ppl have become relaxed about this and I've heard ppl mention they have seen instances of only 3 or 4 singhs, or even just only 2 taking Maharaj. If anyone can share the correct protocol/marayada that would be great aswell. Seems like awareness is needed around this issue.
  2. Sangat Ji, Sevadars are requesting urgent help in their seva to ensure due satkar is given to Maharaj in the UK. They have successfully counted all the Saroops of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji in the West Midlands and are in the process of doing so across the UK. They need assistance in the following areas: Bedfordshire Cheshire Lancashire Lincolnshire Hertfordshire Hampshire Scotland Northern Ireland Many of us have been pained by the beadbi of Maharaj in India but will not be aware that a Saroop was recovered from a charity shop window and a car boot sale.   3. West Midlands: Two Day Gurbani Gutka and Pothi Repair Workshop What will I learn? In this workshop you will learn the basics of how to repair and rebind damaged or birad (aged) Gutka Sahibs and Pothi Sahibs. The first day will cover basic rebinding using traditional and adapted techniques. The second day will cover basic paper repair. Dates: Sat 21st and Sunday 22nd December 2013 Times: 9am-5pm both days Location: Guru Nanak Gurdwara 128 - 130 High Street, Smethwick, West Midlands, B66 3AP What do I need? Basic tools will be provided to share but please try to bring as many of the following items as possible: Pencil, Craft knife, Stanley Knife, wood/mdf off-cuts, scalpel, metal ruler, wooden mallet, cutting mat, large sewing needles,, scrap cardboard or a chopping board and also a hazuria cloth. He will be staying in UK for few days There is an urgent need of Angeetha Sahib in UK, as there is none in Europe. This is a request to all Sangat to work towards the UK Angeetha Sahib. Thanks
