  1. I don't wish to open a can of worms here, but few weeks back someone had posted a thread abt british loot of sikh artifacts and there was one folio of Maharani Jinda's sukhmani sahib pothi on that thread That baani was not "pad cheed" , means all words are connected unlike in modern pothis and thats not an issue . However as I was casually reading through the baani (it was Sukhmani sahib), I noticed it had differences with modern version of Sukhmani sahib . I attached my comparison below Did you guys noticed the difference already . In the first salok, it ha

  3. I like sukhmani sahib. Its grand but also very lengthy. Whenever i try to do it, my mind wavers here and there, or else after a while i find myself just physically parroting baani but my mind is absent. I really personally want to do sukhmani sahib for 40 days but my tongue gets tired in just one sitting because baani is very lengthy. How can i enjoy the paath.

    Sukhmani Sahib Question

Hello :) I am looking to start doing sukhmani sahib for relief of stress and peace of mind. But there is something that is troubling me, in the past I have done sukhmani sahib but each time I finished it something catastrophic has happened in my life. For example last time I did it I received word of the departure of my grandpa, as a result in my ignorance I became afraid that there was something wrong in my recitation. My question is I am trying my hardest to recite it as perfectly as possible, but will my mistake be judged and lead of bad things happening? Thank you
  5. Waheguru ji ka khalsa Waheguru ji ke fateh! I've recently received poor grades for my a levels - and have been told to drop the subjects I enjoyed the most because I received poor grades © in them. I don't know what to do, like I said I do the sukhmani sahib paath (listen to it every day) but no Sukh in my life ever seems to come. Am I doing the sukhmani sahib correctly, because I think dookh should be dispelled if you listen to the path, but for me everyday goes by and I seem to become more depressed and dissatisfied out of life. I'm beg my Lord for his naam, virtue and happiness - but
  6. Listening to the path is good. If you read it, I feel it is the best to read it in Gurmukhi. If you dont know Gurmukhi, you may start learning it and in the meantime (whatever time it takes- months, years) listen to the path. The most important thing is patience (hukam rjai chalna). Kam,Krodh etc are said to be mahabali (extremely strong) in Gurbani, so It will take time before you can win them over and it takes even more time to attain real happiness. But serving the Guru and reading/listening bani is happiness in itself! andd atleast the things wont get worse if you are doing some effort.
  7. Wahegurujikakhalsawahegurujikifateh One time a bibi who lived in Amritsar had a child who had contracted some long term illness. The mother took the child to hospital but despite several treatments the child failed to get better. Day and Night would be spent at her child's bedside - looking after its every need. One day she caught a glimpse of Sant Baba Shaam Singh Ji the beloved kirtani of Satguru Sri Guru Raam Das Ji Maharaj's house - Sachkhand Sri Darbar Sahib Ji. A thought came into her head as she saw him. He is a Sadhu, a Mahapursh, a Bhramgyani - if there is anyone who can make my
